  1. That wall piece seems very similar to the wall pieces in my old Coko (Chinese Lego clone, I think) castle from maybe 1993.
  2. I love those trees, and the wood portion of the structure! Did you use log pieces, or are those round 1*1 bricks?
  3. With MOCs, I seem to be a little picture person...I'll just kinda build what I feel like with no real focus, although I try to keep in mind at least what I'm trying to build in general (like a castle or a mountain or whatever). Then, I might think "It should have this" and try to build it.
  4. Some kind of base for the orcs and more village stuff. And elves.
  5. Why restrict it to sons and not include daughters? I'm not sure what I'd do with kids and Lego as I don't plan to have children anytime soon. By then, I'd probably have a lot more brick and I would give them an assortment including some figs to start them off, and buy them some little sets in various themes. After that, it would depend on their interest.
  6. Japanese doesn't have separate plural forms. One ninja, two ninja...
  7. Based on my limited German, "nur Bilder" means "only pictures"...so this is basically just an empty advent calendar box?
  8. I wish I had this! It is an excellent civilian set, and even has a female minifig! Was this the first Legends set? I was in my dark ages in the Legends era...
  9. It depends on the theme, and how obvious the Technic elements are. Something like a 1*2 with 1 or 2 holes isn't gonna be a problem holding things together. However, I don't like when they use long Technic elements like 1*8 or 1*16 in themes like castle. The holes are too obvious and make it look all skeletal and made of some modern material. It works better in a futuristic theme, but it can still look bad...
  10. The word über is spelled with ü, not just u, so it's "überfig". If you can't type a ü, the proper substitution os ue, as in "ueberfig".
  11. This might have been my first castle set ever...one of my first, anyway. I still have that horse barding.
  12. Good luck sorting! I spent a while sorting my bricks by part type, and it was well worth it...but I only had maybe 13000 bricks to sort...
  13. No! I want my cute, girly purple! A lot of my Lego is from the 90s, so I don't have much in the new colours like orange and dark blue, and would like to have more...and now one of them is GONE?
  14. This was my first fantasy-era Castle set. Oddly enough, I was never that much into Castle before that, preferring Pirates, then Western, then some of the weird late-90s space stuff. It's an excellent little set with 4 figs from two factions plus some siege equipment for the knights. I might have close to 100 fantasy-era figs now, which is making my mom wonder why I want the Giant Chess Set...
  15. Excellent work! I'd definitely buy it if it was released. As I've said before, Lego needs more civilian stuff. The Medieval Market Village is a priority for my 2009 Lego purchases. Hopefully, they release more sets like that...even just one or two a year would be great.
  16. Along with Pirates, Western was a favourite theme of mine when I was a kid. I had most of the cowboy/bandit sets, although I only got 2 of the Native American sets... I plan to use a lot of the parts (especially the wooden-looking stuff) for a large-ish Castle display. I'm more excited about new pirates and the continuation of castle, because pirates can integrate better with castle, but I would still like to have a new Western theme in the future.
  17. I'm not Christian, and I'll be opening this before 1 December. Doing it the normal way would be silly anyway as I will be celebrating the 21st of December instead of the 25th... I'm fine with there not being a King or Queen, as I already have 2 kings and 2 queens/princesses whatever. (King's Castle Siege, Skeleton Tower, Chess Set)
  18. I'm not sure, although I remember getting some Islanders set in the 90s for like $5 US and some change...
  19. Hmmm...is that upside-down hook piece supposed to be a fish? I remember really wanting this set as a kid...my mom actually ordered it for me.
  20. As I said at Classic Castle, I really want this! Finally, Lego is listening to us... I love the European-style buildings and all the marketplace stuff. I wanted to make a mediaeval market square thingy, but I was rather lacking in stuff to put into it...
  21. Ooh, new pirates! I loved the pirate sets as a kid, but never had many big sets. Often, I would use the default models (more or less) for the imperial side, and just make islands for the pirates with trees and mountains and stuff.
  22. Why can't anyone spell Britney Spears's first name correctly, anyway?
  23. I think my parents bought them for me when I was really young. I've always had Lego around for as long as I can remember (except after I left my parents' house during my dark age, but now at least most of the Lego is at my apartment).
  24. That's the dragon that comes with some of the 2007 and 2008 castle sets. King's Castle Siege and Skeleton Tower each come with that red and black dragon, and the Troll Ship one has a green dragon. Personally, I think they're awesome, but opinions vary...some people prefer the old dragons, and some don't like the fantasy stuff at all.
  25. Yeah, I'd rather have preprinted parts, but if I hated stickers I'd just not use them and still buy the set (if it was a set that I wanted)... Having an elf-themed big set would be cool too. In 2007, the big set was the King's Castle Siege, and this year it's a chess set? It seems odd to me that a chess set would replace a huge building set, although I still want it for the figs and accessories.
