Spider-Man

I really hope TLG can continue with this license for years to come! Just in the next two years we are getting so many awesome movies that can be turned into LEGO I still hope we get some X-Men sets eventually. I think it would be cool if TLG released one or two X-Men sets based off of the comics in every wave. Does anyone know what the next X-Men movies will be and when they will be out? As a worst case scenario we will hopefully see sets based off those movies.

That will never happen though. LEGO is trying to make money and they know that people will spend what ever it takes to finish their LEGO fellowship, so from a business standpoint the best way for them to make money off these sets is to split the Fellowship up into as many sets as they can. The same will probably happen with the 13 dwarves from the hobbit.

Those will be talked about in their respected forums. I am a little surprised at the lack of love for Nova? Sure he is a less known character, but that new helmet mold looks pretty darn good to me! I still have a feeling there is more Marvel to come in this first wave

I would say maybe NYCC since New York is such an iconic city for Superheroes

Those kind of just look like toys (if I am looking at the right thing)? I don't think we will see more Dino sets, but who knows nowadays. TLG has done crazier things.

Thanks CorneliusMurock! I agree. TLG must have something up their sleeve for Marvel. They have maybe 3 sets with all of those figs.

Hey guys I know we have just caught glimpse of the first handful of figs for 2013 and there seems to be a big divide on which one is the favorite. So let's discuss here which one is our favorite and why! This thread will be updated with the more figures we get! My favorite Marvel fig has to be Venom, after Spidey who I don't really consider 2013. His look is perfectly crazy! My second place would have to be Doom. edit: Had to cast my vote for Spidey by a technicality but still I think he is more 2012 For DC I would say Scarecrow. His new face gives me the creeps! Which minifigures are your favorite?

I am pretty sure we have all thought about what figures we can terrorize with the Rancor! I know I got my pick!

Spidey and Doom fight in quite a bit of comic. In Spectacular, Amazing, and in some Avengers Spider-Man fights Doom. He is obviously more of a FF villain but he does appear against Spidey, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, and Daredevil.

I think the initial Sail Barge was VERY well done. I don't know how much more they could do to make it that much better, besides exclusive figs which jack the price up

Dr. Doom is from the Ultimate SM cartoon so I don't think FF are coming, not yet atleast! Hopefully in another year or so!

Ya I would agree not to likely. I think it is more likey to occur in more Star Wars sets, such as a Jedi Temple or something. The only adding on I could think of for current sets would maybe be added onto Moria to include the Balrog?

I always thought that Bats got a new one That is pretty cool it is actually Bane's! I will be crossing my fingers for that then I agree about Fury. He is not Avengers or Ultimate SM, so I don't know what they based their design off of?

I don't think Bane ever got a Tumbler? I mean maybe he hijacks one but I have not heard anything about that. Nonetheless it would make for a pretty sweet set!

Venom and Spidey will have some nice battles in my near future I hope that they make the rest of the "Next Avengers" from the Ultimate Spider-Man show! 3 down and only 2 to go! Plus Fury and Doom look pretty darn good! Doom more so than Fury, but still great additions! Edit: Why did they go with that print for Fury? It is not very accurate to the show or to the Avengers movie?

These are sets based off of DKR so I am not surprised there is no Harvey. Maybe they just haven't shown him but I just don't think he will included.

Bingo with Ultimate Beetle. Sorry for the small picture that is all they had that shows both Beetle and that he is part of the Ultimate universe.

Idk about three times the size. If you stand a Hulk side by side with a regular minifigure he towers over them. Hopefully tomorrow at the Star Wars day we will get better comparison pictures

Venom, Doom, and Nova are definitely the standout Marvel characters. Fury is slightly disappointing as I was hoping for the exact same printing that was on the Avengers movie poster, but he is still welcomed. Scarecrow, Freeze, and the Bane and Batman from DKR are the standouts from DC for me. Scarecrow's new face is awesome! They got the sack cloth look just right! Anybody else notice that the Beetle has a clear neck clip to attach his wings to! Also I think Nova is using the same face as Batman?

His name is Beetle. He is in the Ultimate Spider-Man show.

That cowl seems to fit him much better there!

Every single one of them looks amazing I can not wait to get Nova, Doc Doom, and Venom! Also the Batman characters all look awesome to! I am surprised they didn't show more minifigs? Maybe more will come through out the day. Still hoping on some X-Men and members of the Justice league!
