  1. Wow that looks like a really bare set, especially for how much people are bidding on it! Hopefully the regular system sets have some more substance to them when they get released.
  2. While it is a nice set I just don't see any possible scenario where they actually make it. Every set that has come from CUUSOO/Ideas has been right around the same price range and this Wayne Manor, even scaled down to a manageable size, would easily be over $150.
  3. I'm assuming that is Eastern time, so moving it back a little bit will probably give people in the more western time zones a better chance at seeing it. I mean for people in the Western time zone I would think the way they have it now, at 5pm, is just way to early to get a good number of viewers. It is also moved out of the same time slot as NCIS which could potentially give the show more viewers as well.
  4. Looks like a lot of really good information here, but the text is way too small!
  5. New batmobile I'm assuming? It looks like they are going away from the tumbler tank look a little bit, which I wasn't a huge fan of, so this looks like it will be really nice!
  6. If you look at the flickr page of the person who initially found that you can see he drew up his own custom Amazing Spider-Man 2 Green Goblin and the design he drew up is the exact same one on that figure. I don't think that is a coincidence I wish there were ASM 2 sets, but unfortunately it seems we will have to wait until ASM 3.
  7. Yes please!! Definitely my favorite character from any of the 6 films and shows
  8. Hopefully the set still sells well despite it's flaws and signals to LEGO that there is a big market for X-Men
  9. I really hope you are right because that was the same thing I was initially thinking. I REALLY hope you are right but I have my doubts that Marvel would introduce such a huge group of characters through their TV show. Maybe they could show some of the background stuff and get the ball rolling towards the big reveal, I just don't see the reveal happening first on the show.
  10. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps LEGO is treating Wolverine and Magneto as they treat Spider-Man or Batman. Not every kid got the first X-Men set, and it has been out of stock for quite sometime now so maybe LEGO just seems Wolverine and Magneto as favorites of the kids and wants to give them more of an opportunity to get them? At least they are offering a variant on the characters as opposed to Spidey
  11. Just one of the most popular Marvel monsters ever! Fin Fang Foom!
  12. Quick-E Mart isn't completely unbelievable. I would think LEGO could make a pretty nice set with a lot of awesome details in it! Hopefully it would be modular
  13. The Gentlemen was actually introduced back in 1999 in a book called Spider-Man: Gathering of the Sinister Six. If you want some more information on the book you can take a look here. It seems like an interpretation of this story is what Webb is using to start his very own Sinister Six so I warn anyone who wants to read more on it that it could potentially be a major spoiler!
  14. Those were really helpful. I feel like the LEGO version's head is a little off? It seems to rounded and the horn "crown" is completely different (as stated by deskp multiple times).
  15. Lol funniest thing I've read on here in a while! I agree that is the case with Donnie, but I would even go one step further and say that every turtle just has a little too much going on. I know they tried to make them more modern by giving them some clothing and other details but I just like the simpler look of the turtles.
  16. I would imagine that we will be seeing those two at some point! I wonder how they will look in fig form? It will be hard to translate Bebob's skinny-ness and Rocksteady's bulk without special molds I think.
  17. This is my method as well. I've never experienced any breaking parts this way, however I'm sure there is no sure fire way to guarantee the parts don't break.
  18. Yes the price is higher, but they are much better quality and the Chinese knockoffs are basically stolen designs from these customizers. Everyone has their own tolerances but I prefer to support the people that actually spend the time to design the figures rather than the people that steal them and mass produce them, but as I said to each their own. There is obviously market for cheap knockoffs, otherwise MegaBloks and Kre-O wouldn't exist.
  19. Mark me down for the Hydra Tank as well. The tank is a really cool build with the awesome suspension system and all 3 figures are fantastic as well
  20. You can see here that on the Marvel.com release they state that they have a June release I think a few other outlets have confirmed that as well. My guess is that the seller is trying to make them seem rarer at the moment, or just genuinely doesn't know and just assumed that the sets come out the same time as the movie.
  21. This website offers the highest quality minifigures around. The quality of the printing is as close to actual LEGO printing that you will find and they offer Carnage. Some more sites that have good quality figs that aren't cheap Chinese knockoffs: Eclipsebricks Firestar Toys Minifigs4U Custom Bricks Minifigures.co
  22. They have a lot of fun stories in the comics, and if you wanted to get prepared for the movie I would suggest reading the annihilation run. Those figures do look amazing however $25 for each is kind of ridiculous, especially when they come out for retail in less then a month. I'm sure some Youtubers will buy them though to review on their channels.
  23. (No Spoilers) I personally thought ASM 2 was great. It held my attention the entire time without getting to feel too long. Sure it had some minor things that bugged me, but I don't think it deserves all the negativity it's receiving. The web swinging scenes are by far the best we've ever seen in a movie, and Spidey's fights are really great as well. And that Spidey costume in this movie is just perfect
  24. This is an interesting bit of information that I haven't heard before as a reason to dislike the PT. Since I am in my early 20's I grew up with the PT and watched the OT as well obviously but I never really understood the hate for the PT. Thinking about the OT as a complete separate identity with relatable characters is just really interesting to me, and considering the protagonists in the PT being relatively un-relatable I can definitely understand how that would make some feel differently about the PT. I am all for a movie with regular people that are good at only a handful of things. With all the superhero movies out there now it would be really refreshing to just seems some regular humans doing amazing things.
