I have a question and I hope that CopMike will be able to obtain an answer: Why there aren't separate sets of carriages for the Lego Trains? There have been such type of sets in the past, so why not release an Emerald Night carriage for instance? Even if the train itself is out of production, it's still a very good idea.

Getting started in LEGO Trains - What to buy?
Nikola Bathory replied to MrTools's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The Emerald Night is a great train and I'm happy to own it. But in my opinion it's not at all a good idea for a starter train, simply because there are no PF parts in the set and no track at all either. The first LEGO train you buy should be ready to be motorized and used on the track right from the box, that's what I think. But as people here say that Emerald Night has now been discontinued, if you manage to find one - buy it on the spot!- 191 replies

Are LEGO 2011 sets' values increasing?
Nikola Bathory replied to Alexgri's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think that more time must pass for sets to increase their value. And of course, once a set gets discontinued, it's value will increase. So, the Emerald Night "discontinued a few weeks ago"? Is this confirmed? Fortunately, I have this set. -
Your collection is cool, but do you want to try to get some sets from the 80's and early '90? For me they are the best.

Layout: 8 Square Meters of Trains and Town
Nikola Bathory replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I really liked it! A bit too crowded with stuff for my taste, but actually a real city is crowded with stuff and people too! -
Other than the pink part in the train control room, it looks pretty nice, I must say! It's great to see old style buildings, the '80s LEGO sets are great.

The Emerald Night is indeed such a beautiful and detailed train! (I don't own the Maersk btw, but the Emerald Night looks more pretty to me). I just made a video of mine, it's with PF, have a look: (I need to buy switching tracks...)

Not a big surprise... TLG failed to make people pay for this game (and it was expensive, I think). I personally would never pay for such a game. I am a gamer, I really enjoy playing serious PC games (not casual ones), but on the other hand I like LEGO in real life, I'm not interested in having LEGO on my computer screen. I read a lot of AFOLs saying that if LEGO had released real sets to go with LU, then they could have make some money... You buy a set of a tower and it contains a code to unlock the same tower in-game - why not, sounds cool! PS: I don't play Minecraft, I don't even know what it is, a guess a casual browser game - not for me.

Hm, why so few posts about this cool train? Thanks for the review, man! And the comparison with some other Cargo trains! I like this one, in my opinion it's better than the previous cargo train (the yellow one). It offers very good playability for kids... Not that many details for us AFOLs, but still a good train. I give it a 4 out of 5. Yes, putting light on it looks like a very difficult task... Has anyone here done it already?

Question about motorizing Maersk Train/Emerald Night
Nikola Bathory replied to adello25's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks for the information! Now I can only hope that the official Lego Shop ships to my country (Bulgaria). I asked via e-mail, still no answer. -
Question about motorizing Maersk Train/Emerald Night
Nikola Bathory replied to adello25's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Guys, I have the Passenger Train (the red one) with all the PF stuff it comes with. What type was its battery box? I want to buy a second one for the EN. For the Emerald Night, I only have to add an XL motor, right? -
I have the 7938 Passenger Train and also the 10194 Emerald Night - a present I got from my GF for my birthday. I must find the time to build it, 'cause it looks great!

Cool! That's one busy station for sure!

I hope that's a print, not a sticker... Gotta hate Lego for stickers nowdays... -
New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
Nikola Bathory replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A Falcon Knight? Falcons are back? Anyway, I really like this set. I'm not sure about the photos - is this 1 set or 2 sets combined? Anyway, I realy like the details, the whole scene, I will buy 1, I won't have money for 2. -
Great and unexpected news! I don't care at all about Superman, but Batman on the other hand - I missed the first sets and how I will buy some! I really hope for cool sets with interesting structures. What about Harley, will she be there? The Joker is included, so?

REVIEW: 8805 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5
Nikola Bathory replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hey, WhiteFang, great review, as always!! How do you manage to get hold of these minifigs before anyone else? I realy like the Cleopathra minifig. Only her makeup looks wierd, nothing like the traditional Egyptian makeup, I wonder why TLG did it in that way. The Gladioator is cool too. Yes, I'm more into historical themes. -

Epic! Among the best I've ever seen. -
Haha, well said! Let's wait for some more info. Will this train by fully equipped with all PF parts?
-
I like this new set so far. I like the design of the locomotive. But I see more flexi track?

REVIEW: 853195 Brick Calendar
Nikola Bathory replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Mariann, great review of a cute little set! I'm really surprised that these are printed bricks! Well done, LEGO! I would buy it, if I see in over here at a reasonable price. -
What a great idea for a wedding gift! And you did a great job. Btw you used a fish-eye lens? All the best to the couple .
