  1. Yes, Lt. he does. Well, now the King has his golden sword and a shield to face the evil skeleton warrior. Thanks everyone.
  2. I just finished building my 7094, and I think I have too many extra pieces. Exceptions: a white skellie arm, a blacks skellie arm, a red viking horn (those were expected). 3 x Technic Pin with Friction and Slots 1 x Tile 1 x 1 with Clip 2 x Technic Bush 1 x Minifig Accessory Shield Ovoid with Gold Crown, LtBlue, and RoyalBlue Pattern 2 x Brick 1 x 1 As for the shield, I put 2 of them on the front towers and one in the knight's hand. So I really think this one is an extra. While, I guess that with so many 1x1 bricks, I could have missed a couple of spots where to put them. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.
  3. Is it a grasshopper? Is it a spider? is it a mosquito? No, it's the Cosmic creeper! Welcome to my second review. 6837 Cosmic creeper Year: 1998 Subtheme: Insectors Pieces: 55 (+2 extra) Note: Includes magnetic sticker(s) Price:
  4. Hard to find (in Italian shops); I had a friend buying one for meas soon as the set was available. I always wanted another one, so while in Switzerland (see KimT's 7009 review for the full story), I bought two. For 5 €uros you get two knights, a skeleton and a skeleton horse, some hand weapons and a shooting device (please remember, don't aim at the eyes!) Just great.
  5. I bought four of these sets. I guess this was the best selling Impulse set so far. Great idea to have weapons and helmet choice. As for the price, I'd say 7090 is surprisingly cheap!
  6. I've been waiting to hold this set in my hands for about a year and a half. Thanks to a silly TLC decision, 7009 was not available in Italian stores. I finally decided to buy it on the net (2x , plus some other sets) and those morons at the Custom charged me quite a lot. After I bought it, while waiting for it to arrive, I found out it was available in a store in Switzerland, not far away from home... That's for the storytelling. As for the set, I thought it was great, and still think so. A good army builder (as quite a few sets in the 2007/2008 castle line), and a time traveller (6021 being my first Lego Castle set ever). Rating? 5/5!
  7. July + early August: A couple of reviews will follow.
  8. I've got two cents, too. I think you should not write "Legos". On the official site they clearly state they don't like it. And Imho, fun lasted until 1996 (Juniorization came in 1997). Still, you said a lot of right things.
  9. This is my first review, so I thought: the smaller (the set), the better! 6626 Snowmobile Year: 2000 Subtheme: Arctic Pieces: 20 (+1 extra) Note: Polybag; 6577 is the boxed version Price: €.1 + S/H on eBay MISP (Mint in Sealed Polybag!) Building time: less than 2 minutes. If it came out in the last months, if would be called an Impulse set. It actually came out a few years ago; being those my "dark years", I missed the Arctic line. Now that I'm back into business, I wanted some! But not all of the sets were good (or easily available). I had the chance to buy this one, and I0'm happy with it. As you can see below, it consists of a figure on a scooter; the only accessories are those chainsaws that lie on the sides (unless you take the skis from the scooter and have the minifig wear them!). The extra piece is a TransYellow 1x1 round plate. According to Brickset and Peeron, the difference between box and polybag is the sticker "sheet". You choose whether the nose is better with or without the sticker: I'd say "with". The judgement: it's cheap, it has a cool minifig with a cool head accessory and a nice torso. I don't think I like that orange colour that much (and I can't understand why those blue pieces have to be... blue; I guess it's beacuse the whole line uses blue with orange!), but I have to say this is definetely a good set. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 in its category. If you want to own at least a set per every theme, this could be your Arctic one. Packaging: Content: Minifig (I hear you ask: what's that yellow thing on the left leg? Dust, or something alike): The Snowmobile:
  10. I thnk I had some "first sets" - When I was 3 years old, I've been presented with a couple of Minitalia boxes (one of them is n°14, as you can see) That was Christmas 1976.The content, along with some other Lego I inherited from a cousin, ended up in a cylindrical cardboard Dixan box to be used in my youngest days of MOCing (8 to 11 years old, I'd say) - With the exception of a fire car promo set with Ovomaltina, my first Town set was 379 Bus Station. Bought in 1982 summer holidays but not allowed to open it until we got home, in order not to lose some pieces. - My first Space set was 6822 Shuttle Craft, bought on new year's eve in 1981 or 1982. - My first Castle set was 6021 Jousting knights. Bought in/for my Saint's day in 1984. - Leaving a couple of Choppers and some used stuff aside, my first new Lego set after my (and Lego's) dark days was 7990 Cement mixer.
  11. Italy: Sale: Ipercoop has a value pack consisting of 7741 Police Helicopter, 7942 Fire pick-up and 7890 Ambulance. Price is 22,90 (buying htem individually would cost 11,90+9,90+7,90=29,70) (a bit O.T., please forgive me) Availabilty: Toys center has Agents sets (Missions 1 to 6) on a one month premiere exclusive (they will be available everywhere else in September). They also have the new June-December catalogue. In Switzerland the full 2008 castle line seems to be available (not sure of Battle wheel).
  12. I've been working as clerk in the same company since March '96. My net monthly wage is about 1200/1250. If we have 21 working days, 8 hours per day, it means my wage is 1250/(21*8) = 7,44 €/h.
  13. To tease all the people who are waiting for a Pirate comeback! Sorry for not risizing pics in the first post, I thought forum autorisize was enough.
  14. What about Shop at home? What about the German catalogue, which comes with prices?
  15. Found in 2008 Accessory gallery. Edit by Phred: Down-sized pics
  16. Try Brickshelf or Classic castle. I'm quite shure there are no official instructions for alternate models, but maybe someone tried and built them. And maybe posted building shots.
  17. Could it be Slope Brick 45 2 x 2 Inverted Double Convex ? No exact match either...
  18. A few notes: 1) I thought about waiting until all the sets I bought on the bay arrived. But then I kept buying and buying... 2) I've been only back into lego since last year, so my collection is not as huge as someone else's 3) Sometimes, some Imageshack servers are down; that explains the missing images. MIB (until I build them, I'm not the kind of guy who keeps Lego in box) Level 1: Town + Level 2: Castle Levels 3, 4, 5 (5 is empty, waiting for something) + Level 6: Exoforce
  19. Cool. If you try buying one these packs in Italy, it usually costs 10 €uros more than it would cost buying the sets individually.
  20. Two more on ebay, one cheaper, the other one more expensive.
  21. This is the first one I spotted: here.
  22. Bigger scans of those Stickers: here.
  23. Prices for Italy are still the same (the old Holland prices).
  24. The Cobra

    City 2009

Why not? 1490 was good, and quite original with those "slant" doors. 6566 wasn't that good, but that's no surprise since it came out in 1997, the first of a few dark (<insert that tiresome argument>) years in Lego city.
  25. 7998 might be useful beacuse you can put smaller sets in those 2 huge "tipper buckets". But it didn't have much appeal to me. While, as soon as I saw some pics of 7733 I thought I wanted one. And now I own it. Oh, and building was king of challenging (read here).
