  1. Nice one! Now I start missing DesignByMe all over again...

    Ryno

Very steampunky. I think I'd like to try something like that with robots using the medieval carriage wheels.
  3. I can't exactly say why, but find the trans-neon-orange and grey colour combination refreshingly appealing.
  4. Lol for the spring story. I weigh my grab bags as well, of course. Maybe they use different bags in the US, but I'd guess they contain a quart (which is roughly a liter) at most, probably a bit less. Again, I usually go for the well-filled ones, and the average weight is 274 grams, which is significantly less than a pound. Well, as others have said, it really depends on the way it is packed - whether the Lego is loose, or assembled, and what kind of bricks it is. In any way, volume is a horrible way to measure Lego.
  5. Read about the book before. I understand it's more of a tongue-in-cheek caricature for AFOLs. Sounds very entertaining, though! :)
  6. Great review of a cool set. I might get it just for the canopy bubbles alone. Really hope Lego will make these in trans-yellow and/or trans-black, too!
  7. Well, if it's any consolation, I am not too fond of the mini modulars either. I can see how people go mad over it, but it's not for me. I would really like to have VIP-exclusive sets that are a bit more generally appealing. :)
  8. Too colourful! My LCD burst. ;)
  9. Very busy, nice idea for the shoulder pads. I wonder how stable it is?
  10. Off the top of my head, I think you can get pumpkin minifig heads from the Lego game "Monster 4".
  11. Sleek, white... great effort! :)
  12. Very extensive review, very informative. Great that a lot of the small, little details are documented (burgers, tickets). I should have bought more Monorail when I was younger! :)

    Futuron Sniper

... and a massive AWACS dish to spot the victims. :)

Funny, that must be the windscreen from the Deep Sea Raider. I've been trying to come up with ways how to include it in a good Classic Space MOC, too. You seem to have gone the way of the Jedi Starfighter. ;)
  15. The set definitely looks amazing. Some nice parts, too. Thanks for the very informative review. I might get this.
  16. Nice and very informative review. Looking forward to more.
  17. My last Star Wars purchase was UCS Obi Wan's Starfigther, found it really worth the money (50% off at S@H).
  18. Well, as many others, I'd really like to see an A-Wing UCS, as well as an Imperial Recon/Spy Droid UCS (from Ep. VI).
  19. Nice models. Good luck with the votes on Cuusoo! :)

    BatPod.

Wow, very cool! Looks really stable, too.
  21. Great! I really need to get one of those. Interesting to see that the cape is in a cardboard envelope here (unlike with the collectible minifigures).
  22. Nice review for a cool set!
  23. Not bad. Ever thought aboud adding a ceiling?
  24. I generally prefer characters in the minifig form. Simply for reusability reasons. With the Ironman/promotional Hulk/... figures, you can reassemble the parts into something new. You can't do that with the Wampa/Quinjet Hulk/... Even the Ewok heads/Chewbacca heads/... will always remain that character. I would so have preferred for them to do the latter in minifig format with normal minifig heads and headgear.
  25. Nice! Also good to see somebody else who's not applying the stickers. ;)
