Why is it that doors aren't being used as frequently anymore? There's so many cases of vehicles where a door could have been used instead of just plain bricks. Does it depend on the individual designer? I'm glad a few of the 2012 vehicles sets did indeed include doors, it really makes them more realistic looking (and increase the playability factor for kids).

I think it's interesting we're possibly getting another civilian themed building. I miss the days of the simple Post Office and Pizzeria! Someone else mentioned SWAT. Interesting if it happens. The only other similar set I can think of was the3314 Football Police Unit set, which I always thought was pretty cool (and in retrospect, wish I'd bought somehow)!

Can't wait to see what this Museum set looks like. I hope it's substantial and not just a facade!

How early does Target's sale pricing kick in? ie. if I was to go in at 5.15pm Wednesday afternoon, would the 20% off discount apply yet, or does it begin once their clocks tick over onto Thursday? Also, fingers crossed they'll have Series 8 Minifigs now that I've spotted them at TRU, but they probably won't. EDIT: They didn't. And my local Target was generally understocked anyway. Luckily, David Jones did indeed price match the 20% deal (Big W previously refused to) and I picked up a Dino set. -

TRU here in Sydney has Series 8 Minifigures. -

To be quite honest, if I could afford 3 Haunted Houses, I wouldn't have an issue paying $45 for shipping for 1... EDIT: The RRP in our country is unfortunate, but I can live with it, and I don't mind the wait, as long as it's a reasonable amount of time. What I don't understand is, at this point in time, we have a Lego office in Australia, however, as far as I'm aware, S@H products do not get sent from Sydney, when they probably could be. Factor in the point that we also don't have any Lego Stores we can purchase the product from. When I was working in the retail toy industry, we heard whispers from our Lego rep that NSW would indeed be getting Australia's first Lego Store, but that was last year, and I haven't heard anything since. EDIT (again): Just checked on the box I received my Zombie set in from S@H, which actually says the sender was Lego Australia, in NSW (where I'm currently located). Huh!? -

Absolutely. Well I just got an email back from shopforme anyway, and they said: "We are expecting the Haunted House to arrive before Halloween ;)" So at least it'll be around before the end of Oct, and I'm willing to wait it out to save on shipping. -

Thanks Brisbane Lego Fan, I don't quite know how I missed that... -

Agreed, $45 is way too much to pay for shipping to Aus. I've emailed shopforme to see if they'll be getting it at all, and I'll report back if it's a yes. -

I'm jumping the gun a bit, but would TRU have Series 8 yet? I'm thinking it might be September before we get them here in Aus though. -
As a lover of film and the cinema, this would be fantastic! It could resemble the outside of the cinema in the Town Plan set (that I regret not buying), and have a snack bar, cinema with a fair bit of seating, and maybe a light brick with various translucent slide bricks that could project onto the screen (similar to the one in that Agents' truck set).

I've looked in almost every Big W store I've been near here in Sydney, and haven't seen one Dino set left sitting on the shelf. They must've been popular, as my local had plenty on the shelf pre-toy sales. No products coming up for me on the Big W website anymore either... -

Thanks to all concerned for the tips on Monster Fighters release dates a couple of pages back. I've since ordered Shop For Me's deal, which excludes The Zombies set. Hopefully Target here in Australia will be getting that as an exclusive like the US? So tempting to order at S@H and get the Hulk minifig, but unfortunately I can't really justify the $30 shipping... -

Anyone have any idea when Monster Fighters will start hitting stores? I thought it was August. It would be nice if it was in time for use with this TRU voucher, but I won't hold my breath. -

Good deal then! I used to work for a Toyworld store which sold all Lego at RRP. Each store is independently owned, so it may be the case that this particular store was a bit greedy with the pricing of this set... -

(Without shipping). Surely once you add the additional costs, Toyworld is the better deal? -

Myer Morley had the Mines of Moria set on Friday (although I think they only had 1 or 2 out)... -
I don't really know how successful the theme was, but when I worked in a toy shop, they weren't really flying off the shelves an awful lot. To be fair though, we generally sold a lot less Cars merchandise with the recent film, whereas with the previous film, consumers couldn't get enough of it. I think if Lego had gained the licence earlier ie. to tie in with the first Cars film, the whole theme would've been a lot more successful.

I noticed today that TRU Joondalup had both the Helm's Deep and Uruk-Hai army sets. They might've had a third set but I'm not 100% on that. I just wish we'd have the full range already... -

Thanks jonwil I might try TRU up my end at Joondalup to see if there's anything floating round tomorrow... Had a peek at Carousel Myer & Target today. Myer had the new SW sets, but also looked like they were in the process of unpacking some other stock as well such as new Friends, etc. Target had the new SW sets, including R2D2, as well as new Spongebob. -
Thanks for the video links, the game looks really good! Is it my imagination or have the graphics changed, even improved, slightly, since the last Lego game? It'll be a bit of fun to fly around as Superman or Green Lantern by the looks of it. And running around as the Flash should be a change of place for the sometime slow moving Lego characters in past games. I always wish they'd have a run button or move a bit quicker, especially if you were Free Playing a level second time around and just wanted to burn around and get all the hidden items etc.

Brilliant MOC! That poor goat never gets a break; it's one of the things everyone remembers about that scene

For those interested and local, Morley Myer in WA had the new SW sets when I looked yesterday. Haven't spotted any LOTR here yet, and I'd really like to pick up a Gandalf Arrives for my girlfriend. Anyone spotted them in WA yet?
