  1. If you people don't like the new sets, you don't have to buy them, y'know. I for one, love the new sets, and think they are just as equally awesome as the old sets.
  2. Is this some sort of take-over, or an extended April Fools joke I missed?
  3. Why couldn't these have been real...
  4. My custom loosely-based-on-Japan faction, the Torosai: I plan on picking up parts to build another couple of musketmen, but other than that, it's as far as I'll be going, I just wanted enough to use in dioramas.
  5. I stopped collecting SW when Fleshies came out.
  6. What does my April Fool do for a living? He's the CRAZY Stripper!

One of the many untouted workhorses of the Fleet. While not the fastest, most manoeuvrable or biggest ship in the Fleet, pilots swear it's the easiest to master flying. Due to that fact, the ship is kept in service, despite the original design being over 70 years old. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirdano/sets/72157616184161218/ http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=376262 http://mocpages.com/moc.php/108032

    Earth Hour

Well, I was gonna burn some tires and toss all my old batteries in the lake, but I totally forgot.
  9. Love this set. <3
  10. This is pretty cool, I like the rockscaping. It also looks like it would be right at home in my Cattlepunk theme.
  11. I'm 25% Canadian, 25% redneck, and 50% nerd.
  12. Check in the '09 City pics thread.
  13. You guys are forgetting that kids are TLG's target audience. ;) And I'm quite sure that TLG will stick with conflict-in-a-box type sets for a while to come.
  14. V-LV-19F Just seeing if I could build a newer style car using my collection of mainly older style car parts. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirdano/sets/72157615956062097/ http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=375723 http://mocpages.com/moc.php/107257 The Gazelle was BRK's entry into the muscle car wars of the late '60s. It was touted as being as light and swift as a gazelle, but unfortunately, quality problems kept it from emerging as the winner. This example has been lovingly restored with modern parts by an enthusiast.
  15. 13 x 13 studs, and 16 bricks high.
  16. I agree, I want sets that mix fantasy and realism.
  17. I've seen some people on here saying that you can't make a jousting set with fantasy themes and minifigs. Well, guess what, you can. Lord Drayko has summoned the greatest warriors in the land to take part in the grand tournament, and the final joust is about to begin! http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirdano/3382749613/ http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=375153 http://mocpages.com/moc.php/106353
  18. I'm gonna buck the trend and say the axe.
  19. I found that the series was starting to get a tad boring, but the last episode was great.
  20. As long as they're inexpensive with usable MOCing parts, I'd be all for it.
  21. Myself, I want more lower priced sets. For example: An MMV style inn for about the same price as the Troll Battle Wheel and Shipwreck Hideout, with an Innkeeper, his daughter, two trolls and a knight on horseback with generic chainmail and shield. The tagline could be something along the line of "Can the wandering knight save the Innkeeper and his daughter from the nasty Trolls? Or will the trolls defeat the knight and steal the inn's food? You control the action in the new Troll Assault playset!"
  22. I got it in the Castle Advent Calendar.
  23. I wouldn't mind a Greek theme- As long as it doesn't replace the Castle theme.
  24. The Torosai test fire their latest siege cannon, the Tetsusaiga. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=374168 http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirdano/3363295339/
  25. Tartakovsky all the way. I just can't stand the art style in the new series, they seem to be trying to mix 3D with anime, which in my opinion just doesn't work.
