Zombies came - As with all disasters there were winners and losers. The Automobile Association of Britain floursihed. Offering Extraction and protection as well as roadside reocvery. I present you the Junkyard dog with accompanying mechanic Oli "Oily" Smith (who appears to be slacking a bit).

I hope to produce a suitably friends esque sci fi product :)

REVIEW: 9464 The Vampyre Hearse
Hammerstein NWC replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the excellent review and comparisons :). I'm a huge fan of this series. The figs are just awesome - TLG seems to have taken note that the community wants zombies and detailed mini figs. I love the nod to AFOLs witht the rathbone reference. I think the hearse looks a bit rubbish to me but overall I like the idea of it, the hot rod styling is a good idea. :) -
I love steampunk and I love this - the island itself is great. The lighthouse is a really good idea and the execution is really great too IMO. Maybe add a light house keeper? :)

It's called the Queen's hammer because it is a dreadnought in Queen Victoriana's army. I added the Hammer because it is the flagship of her fleet I van imagine it smashing anything in its path. The colour combo's evolved out of necessity the body was the only bit I planned properly - I did a design where the cockpit opened but when I built the hatch on top the need for that diminished and I was able to contour out the front a bit. A minifig can comfortably sit or stand inside the central area. Again in the first build these was no cockpit lass and the figs head could be seen in the black frame. :). If I do a mech like this again I will take progress shots. Thanks all for the very kind words and positive feedback

Custom Knights from 1991
Hammerstein NWC replied to SirBlake's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I think they are very cool - I'd be willing to bet a small fortune that the Black Knight was your favorite! (he is mine):) -
Like it I can't see from the pic but does he have a nose. I suspect he does not as this is you taking a more lego approach to the fig? :)

My force user and her hand maidens! I'm really pleased with how the combo's turned out. "Yinn Al'Lal" is a Dark Force User. She is accompanied by her bodyguards and Slave. She Specialesin secuction and manipulation, if these techniques don't work there's always Force lightning. Yinn is not to be trifled with! Her bodyguards are expert close combat fighters.

instantly recognisable MOC!! :) I totally agree with this the spacing is very effective and the burnout car is excellent!

hey fella Is the Spiderman available for trade? I have a spidey head but no body! I have more clones than I can shake a stick at - no idea of value etc. though as it's not my thing. What star wars things clones are you after?

The Global Gladiators (MOC)
Hammerstein NWC replied to Hammerstein NWC's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What's the size limit for posting here? Also is it permissable to post just pics of minifigs without actual MOC backdrops? :) sorry for the n00b questions but that's just what I am! I'll add them to this thread later if so. -
Just saw this Moc! I love the colours and the "execution" BOOM BOOM! :)

Palitoy cardboard Death Star in Lego...
Hammerstein NWC replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I still own this cardboard palitoy set and can I see I think your rendition of it is truly inspiring. I loved this toy. My mother picked it up for me in Mint condition in 1986 (or there abouts) and I played it into oblivion - the garbage chute was a particular favorite of mine! My favorite piece is your recreation of the gunner port which looks infinitely better than the real thing!! :) -
I be a scurvey Pirate! I'm building a faction of my friends and I's roleplaying group. The Pirates look good IMO but I've given up on building a ship having seen the masterpieces here! I think I will do a searching for treasure MOC instead!

The Global Gladiators (MOC)
Hammerstein NWC replied to Hammerstein NWC's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks - I know what you mean I love all the aftermarket stuff, I think some of it actually looks too real at times, the brick warriors stuff seems to be just the right amount of real but still bulky enough to !fit" The Djinns shoulder pads are modified silver ninjago shoulder armour, I shaved them down and rounded them so they fit better with some green stuff. His Headwrap is also modified if you look closely. I took a layer off the bottom of it so you could see more of the detail on his (standard) body. :) -
This looks excellent to me I love the sword stand and the walls look very authentic!

GREATEST Creation Helm's Deep by Korean
Hammerstein NWC replied to Riquelme's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Just wow! As above the interior detail is just epic! -
I bought some Brickwarriors weapons and armour and decided to see what i could make - Scenario The Grand Vizier is an evil tyrant who rules the Desert Kingdom Of Arabia. Having trapped and killed Alladin a 1000 years ago he summoned and enslaved the Djinn (Genie) of the Lamp to do his bidding (and gain infinite wishes). Every 50 years he summons the humans of the Realm from about the world using the magic of his lamp. They fight for his entertainment (and their very survival). He also summons the monsters and demons of the realm to fight them. The Champion wins a lavish prize no human has so far won it though, as the Djinn has never been defeated. Heroes of the Realm Ronin, Amazon Fighter, Norse Berzerker, Nomad, Zulu Prince Monsters of the Dark Minotaur, Animated Statue, Undead Ogre, Orc chieftain, Locust Queen, the Djinn

MOC: Tyrnosaurus-REX
Hammerstein NWC replied to captain kaos2's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Actual LoL! great MOC. the napkins are an awesome touch as noted above :) -
Excellent speeder there. Looks like EXOFORCE hair and bright colour combo's are the order of the day! Bright colours in the arms and legs can make dreary civvies look more futuristic. I like to add breathing apparatus or if you aren't purist some of the aftermarket goggles and helmets available really do spice things up! :)

I love this especially the swamp!
-
If you do revisit this monster maybe putting a different coloured underside belly would work - like a tan set of scales or something :)
-
I like it alot especially viewed in the context of the moc. :)
