Swampert used Ice Punch! (click the picture to access the gallery) So, yeah, here is my favourite Pokémon, Swampert, finally done after years of telling myself I needed to do it. It's far from perfect, and I'm sure I'll improve it again since I'm never entirely satisfied, and this is even more true since this is, as I said, my favourite Pokémon. I do want to include a working mouth again, as I was forced to remove it to improve the neck articulation. I don't have many things to say about it, but I really like to work with this kind of things, using weird SNOT and other things to obtain the shapes I want. Comments & Criticism are very welcome ! Oh, and, one last thing : A wild Pokémon appears!

I got Vader since my friend hyped me, but I don't know when I'll be building it. For the lightsaber, I'll see if I can do something.

If you don't mind me asking, does Lewa's mask retain the overall look of 2015 ?

Sadly no, I'm a little tight on money right now and I've gone out of my way quite a bit to get it even if it was under the official price (~33€). Concerning the cape, it would have been cool, but I feel like it should have been bicolor, like in the movies, and I'm pretty sure we've never seen bicolor capes this big (or at all ?)

The chestplate is only made of one piece. As I said already when posting about Luke, the lightsaber hilt is pretty much this piece with more details all around. Oh, and, here is jango's build

The thing is, there is no pointy add-ons, it's one single piece.

There you go, not a fan of it, since I feel the shapes aren't as good as the ones provided with the original look of the set.

Don't say that, you know you like Clone Commander Luke ! I pretty sure it's not but I feel like silver isn't all that consistent anyway, within the same silver color, so I might be wrong. I've seen you ask here and somewhere else, but I need to dig Gali out, first, so I'll take pictures in a moment. I think he's better than I expected, but out of the box without modifications, I feel like it's the weakest of the three, and most likely of the wave. The proportions of the arms and legs are just wrong. With that said, it's nothing that can't be tweaked a bit.

Sadly, no ad or combiner models on the boxes/instructions. Here is Jango, and I feel like he's the least good of the three. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it just doesn't have anything making him particular apart from a good selection of pieces. Please excuse the quality of this picture, it suddenly got dark with a small storm here.

I suppose they've been using this outfit because Vader is in the same wave, to replicate the battle between the two, though I agree his rebel pilot suit would have been awesome. Cody is pretty good, better proportions, but I sure wish they had included a weapon storage on his backpack. Oh and the new shoulderpad is pretty cool, didn't test the compatibility yet, but it looks ace !

It'll take a bit, since I'm building them on camera, but here is Luke. Some proportions problems, but all in all, better than I expected, the saber hilt piece is more or less a variant of this piece while the laser is made in flexible plastic.

Yeah, the only complaint I really have about him is his lack of neck articulation up and down, since he's the Master that needed it the most, for flight poses for example.

Oh boy, here we go. Remember ? Well I have a new episode of Alternate Factory !Just after we shot the video for the combo between all the beasts, I saw all the leftover pieces from the combination, and thought I could work on something bigger, since the original combo was too small for my taste. I really wanted to use the head of the beasts to do a pincer, so here it is. I decided to keep the color scheme limited to mainly black, azure and orange/trans orange, so the beast could look menacing, which is the biggest problem of the original combo, with the yellow, transparent colors and whatnot. However, I did decide to keep the feet and part of the tail design, as it looked really good to me. Also, like with the previous one, the video (in french only, again, sorry) will show you the steps to build it, so you can recreate it yourself, if you like it !

I'm getting an EVO Walker too, so I can have this little guy with me to fiddle with. That does look quite cool ! I'm not a fan of these feet for mechanical builds and I feel like the silver parts should be dark metal, but all in all, it works very well as a minimalistic mech.

I really want to work with XT4 feet to do a mecha for Evo, but I'm not sure this is the frame to do it, quite frankly, as it would clash quite a bit with the overall design which is pretty thin on this one. While the alt was done using the EVO Walker from my friend's collection, I do plan on buying it since I really enjoy playing with the figure built this way.

I didn't want to create a new topic for this, so here you go, I tried to do an alternate build for the EVO Walker, with a more classic mecha frame. It made me enjoy the set way more, as I feel mechas are more versatile. However, it's in french, so don't hesitate to mute and get your playlist out, 'cause Evo do like some good hard rock. I'm not sure embedded videos are welcome on the topic, so please tell me if it must be a link, and I will correct it.

Having played with all the sets, and possessing half the wave, I feel like all the mid-sized set are pretty good. Flyer beast looks very dynamic with the antenna, even if I feel like it needs a small bone for the forearm. Rocka's mech is probably the most classic looking mech of the wave, and is really good, even if I don't like the right arm at all (between the not really good looking claws and the silver and gold armors, even if the printed armor is gorgeous, silver still looks out of place). Furno is probably the best in its own right, with the torso build which is, as stated before, very interesting, and look excellent once finished. However it's a pretty specific type of mecha, and I could understand it's not your cup of tea. Stormer would clearly be the one I would recommend the less, not because it's a bad set, but because I feel like the mech is less "mecha" and more "weirdly shaped hero without head". It's still a good set, and once you get used to the shapes, he's pretty fun to play with, but clearly not the one I feel people should buy first if they want something that feels different. So yeah, I would recommend mostly Furno Jet Machine or Flyer beast as my favourites, but Rocka is also a really good start with this wave, even if I find rocka's helmet not very good looking.
