  1. My second entry for Mecha Contest -A- . Jousting Mechas are a vehicle for competetive jousting in a time and place far...far...away ( Is there and echo in here ?) ;) JOUSTING MECHA : SUNBURST Theme : Knights BRICKSHELF GALLERY bfs
  2. Well you see, no Technic/Bionicle parts are currently made in Dark Purple, so all the Dark Purple you see IS System or Knight Torsos. There is some Yellow System here also ( like the "Horizontal Cylinders" that are not horizontal in this case but verticle and are the core of this Mecha's thighs). The head/cockpit is nearly all system. It all connects and works, after all it IS all Lego :) bfs
  3. Hi Athos and the rest of you guys. I've worked a little w/ Clikits as adornments on a few of my mocs. What I can tell you is that they connect basically one of two ways. 1) A technic pin ( which happens to be the same diameter as a standard Lego system stud ) connects to one type of flower or heart or star. 2) The other type will tightly snap into a technic pin hole OR into a Clikit adaptor ( a few are provided w/ most Clikit sets ) and the adaptors will then snap over a technic pin or sinigle stud (barely). Here are some examples of Clikits in use with Robots/Mechas/Bionicles : I hope you can see where the Clikits were used, sorry for the poor photography (poor camera). bfs
  4. My first entry for Mecha Contest -A-. Jousting Mechas are a vehicle for competetive jousting in a time and place far...far...away :) JOUSTING MECHA : ROYAL WOLF Theme : Knights Brickshelf Gallery bfs
  5. We're just asking you not to generalize and insult people, it has nothing to do with hierarchy. I truly dislike spamming in topics but, I would truly like to express my gratitude to Bloody Jay with a heart felt....THANK YOU ! bfs
  6. bigfatslob, What Ties are you reffering to???? The ones I modified (pics shown at the beginning of the thread) or the link to the brickshelf gallery (UCS normal Tie)?? If you are talking about mine, thank you so much for your kind comments :$ Really, its always great to have nice feedback on your work ;) Thanks so much BFS ;) Yes, yes xwingyoda. I was referring to the ones that you modified @ the beginning of the thread. Great work ! bfs
  7. These TIE fighters are incredible, breathtaking in fact ! I'm impressed w/ the construction in general and the size and details in particular. I'm further impressed w/ the breath of your parts selection and quantities. Great work ! bfs
  8. Thanks all, Oh and mister_phes, Galidor was a horrible series of action figures by Lego ( big and blocky, build for the very young ), take the worst part of the full sized Kighys Kingdom figures and you would be close. Fortunately, selective parts from these terrible sets can be utilized at times to good effect and they connect via friction pin or axle to nicely integrate w/ Technic parts. bfs
  9. Thanks to all ! Bloody Jay, I'm glad to see to appreciate the ray gun, I modeled it after so many 1950's sci-fi movie ray guns ;) ! bfs
  10. Hi, -Sarg_Kullo, Thank you for your kind words -xwingyoda, You embarrass me with your praise, here are some pictures of Gearz & Cogz together: Thanks, bfs
  11. You are so correct XWINGYODA, but how much can I, myself take laying down when remarks are made by someone ( that same someone on more than one occassion ) about my people and country ? ON TOPIC, being an avid Bionicle fan, I think that the naming of a precious child after a faddish toy is insane, further, the young man in questions mother was surely just trying to appease her son and does not plan on naming her precious child after a Bionicle. bfs
  12. No, I think its a family of low income that imigrated to an insignificant FAR north american country from some former communist eastern block country.....wait....oh yeah, my mistake, that was SOMEONE ELSE ;) bfs
  13. Hi Apophis V, Thank you and the head is from the GALIDOR ( eee gads ! ) Ooni set. bfs
  14. After I built GEARZ, I felt he needed a friend so COGZ was greated. It's unfortunate that my parts supply for COGZ was so limited causing a rather "wonky" appearance, sorry. :'( bfs
  15. Just thought I put up this little alien to further alienate *wacko* myself from hardcore system fans :D bfs
  16. This is a breath taking ship by any standard ! It would be expesive if Lego made it, that's for sure. It ALMOST makes me wish Lego would move all manufacturing and assembly to CHINA to cut the cost in half, I said ALMOST wish. bfs
  17. languages, unfortunately I guess we can enter until MAY 31st, almost 2 months from now. I for one would like to wait closer to the deadline to enter, I just hope I can remember that far down the road :'( bfs
  18. Hi, DJ I do still have him together, I usually keep them together at least a year and then I usually do a major upgrade instead of tearing them apart. I was looking at the moc this morning and I think I know where in particular that you are talking about. The black and white "tee" axle connectors just inside the shoulder armor (Hocket hemets), that area needs to be filled in! On this moc, being as light weight as it is, I've had no problems w/ rigidity or joint stiffness. I should fill the empty area in, huh ? Thanks DJ bfs
  19. This is a moc where I've strayed a bit from Bionicle using Hockey/other Technic, Knights, X-pod and System parts ( hopefully Wolf won't be too upset |-D ) Thanks for looking ! bfs
  20. To be honest DJ, the first year of Bionicle was fresh yet classical, but that was not really a choice in the polls. I opted for the '05 sets. True that the Metrus were superior to the Hordika and Lhikan was nice but every other set of the '05's are superior to their '04 counter parts w/ even more large sets (in my humble opinion) :$ bfs
  21. I myself got the link to this fine site from PZPower.com. I love the variety here. I've been a bit of an outcast on BZP because in my "Bionicle" customs, I incorporate Galidor, Knights (full size),Space & System parts. They all work together wonderfully, its the way Lego intended it to be. :D bfs
  22. WOLF, YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR LEGO ! I'm probably older than your parents, I should scold them for their attitude ! Secondly, I agree with the remainder of your post 100% ! bfs
  23. Howdy ! -giyman, you have it right ! I mirror both your experiences and conclusions. ;) -Wolf, there is NO either OR debate here. WE ,THE LEGO FANS, SHOULD ALL JUST JOIN HANDS : bfs
  24. Hey WOLF ! I'm from the U.S.A. and I like it ( and a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force ! ) and I have a special BIONICLE JUST FOR YOU ! :P *kiss* FAIRY PRINCESS ! *kiss*
