  1. I'm almost positive I read you moved from Chicago to CA.Either I'm crazy, or I majorly misunderstood something somewhere...
  2. Wow, that's a lot better than AC Moore's selection.
  3. It's only about two thousand miles between us, give or take. Also true...That would depend on if you know them and how tight the cave is, I think.
  4. Funny thing, I actually prefer contacts.
  5. You would be suprised how often that happens around here. It's just old cars that have not been touched for years, not new ones. Hmm...I haven't seen too many cases of arguing over houses before. (Seroiusly. ) Almost everybody down (Over the age of 13) here owns at least one gun, too. Clearly you have not been through Eastern South Carolina, Land Of The Rednecks. That's exactly right. If nobody ever talked about Hitler, and I yelled 'Hail Hitler!' out in public, would people do anything about it? No, because close to nobody would know who he was, if we never talked about him. (Hope that makes sense) Stalin? Nah, not a fan. A lot of (High School aged) Southern Boys do somewhat like Nazis, though.
  6. I thought it looked like the wings could actually fold downards, but I guess that's just as good. Oh... I keep reading 'Sherrif,' but those doors keep saying 'Bar.' I'll be trying several types of vehicles with just these green parts. Too bad I would have to spend over a hundred dollars solely on these to do that.
  7. Thanks Oky Wan! Does one of those pictures show the Buzz minifig's backpack folded down? Sure looks like it is. I see some purple 1x1 round plates on Zurg's head, so that's deffinitely a good thing. And I just realised that there is a second level on the Western bar, which could be a tad innapropriate for the younger builders. Not much else to see on the jeep, but absolutley love it more and more.
  8. You are talking about the headlamps, right? Might as well go ahead and shave it all off to avoid any potential embarrassment. Then again, having a giant minifigure on your forehead might be just as embarrassing. I'm still wondering if you are talking about the headlamps, seeing how wherever you go, innuendo seems to follow... Best answer would be to buy three, turn one on, and dunk it in abucket of water. I'm sure all of us are completely normal...If you're in the cave with the headlamp blinding everybody else in there, I'm not sure how odd it looks would really matter.
  9. <insert that tiresome argument> as in; Really blocky and somewhat out of proportions, I think. Note how they really emphasize how short and fat he is. No offense to Lego, but I don't think he really looks that great at all, in any pose. I would have to heavily modify him to get my approval, and I don't buy Power Miners (Very few lime green parts) and have too few spare white parts to make any satisfactory mods.
  10. An invisible peg-leg, practically. Too bad it's not completely clear. I sure hope so.While not being a huge Pirate fan, I do enjoy Pirate MOCs and hoped to pick up one or two of these, to give them a chance. It might be a while, now...
  11. Since when has there been European headlamp catalogs? And don't you live in California? Some few years ago I remember there was a Jack Stone toothbrush that came with a Jack Stone fig. I'm not sure if it vibrated or not... Are you talking about the same caves they are talking about? Doesn't seem like you are. I would venture to say it is because you started this thread, right? I guess that all depends on how much hair you have and how wide your head is. I would be tempted to relocate the minifig on a hat, rather than the band it comes with.
  12. Going by all of the [sarcasm] excessive [/sarcasm] space there was in the last one, I would say there is probably not a whole lot of room for anything in this one either. With the ever-so-predictable flick fires, I don't really think there would be bombs in it. I've been wrong before...
  13. Well...At least we can see a side view of the jeep there. Unfortunately (Maybe not ) it looks like I'll be buying more of the Army 'Battle Pack' than planned, so I can extend the back of those jeeps. And I agree, Inconspicuous. The Buzz does look a little too <insert that tiresome argument> for my taste. Guess I'll just be getting Zurg, and for the parts at that.
  14. I actually had the idea before Sly had the MOC, but it is rather well timing, I must say.
  15. Oh, thanks. I thought it was a made up word. And they mean labeling errors and whatnot. That's really nice to know. Is that in the book? This belongs in the Rumor Topic, but I'll go ahead and comment anyway. I finally see why it would be a tan helmet, which is because it is not a helmet at all, but rather one of those caps with 'extensions' to cover the back of the head.
  16. Thanks. I loved the song for years and within the last year finally learned who was the artist behind the masterpiece. I'm thinking about making a MOC for the song...
  17. I did! Heard about it, and either he knew something nobody elsae did or that was an awful lucky find. Looks like some crap if you ask me. Laws vary from place to place. Here in the USA, South Carolina in particular, it goes to say that if you found it and nobody is around to claim it then it's yours.
  18. Please do say something different in your next post. There really is no need to repeat yourself three times.
  19. If it's an old 'sketch,' it might have been before the incredibly useful invention of Flick-Fires. This would be a perfect home for the Visual Dictionary Luke though, had it actually been a set. I guess there is always MOCing...
  20. I've seen that situation uncountable times. Not necessarily, that doesn't work all of the time. This would make me think heat. A lot of heat can cause the bricks to soften a little, and possibly just slightly change shape. Or if it became very cold after being very hot, that could harden up the bricks and make them brittle. Could be.One major reason I think it is heat is because of this: *I purchased a MISB Watto's Junkyard last year, and when I opened it, the bricks were absolutley amazing in how new they were. The owner had kept it in a cool steady-temperature basement. *All of the other sets that came from this guy were also brand new, and had no problem whatsoever. *Of my smoke free collection and others I have seen, my sets tend to stay like-new, in a steady-temperature room. *Some of my friends keep their set higher up in their house, and the only a few years old sets/bricks start to become brittle and tough to build with.
  21. Well, I do see your point. It's just the things like that that make me just want to yell, "Way to state the obvious, Lego!" at my computer screen.
  22. Generally, the really big Arts/Crafts stores tend to have Resin, Dye, and liquids to cast with. I think the one near me is called AC Moore. You might have one locally. If you would insist on using official Lego plastics and colors, I think you could grind up and melt ( ) Lego bricks to pour into the mould. Hope that helps a little.
  23. Yes, but if there is icing, it better taste good. What does that mean? I don't quite understand it... It is indeed awesome, but did they really have to label Darth Vader? I just personally think that anybody who does not recognize Dath Vader doesn't know the meaning of being a Star Wars fan.
  24. I love History. German, in particular. To start off with a question: Was Auschwitz (spelling?) ever demolished, or is the 'camp' still standing? I heard somewhere they were tearing the place down, but I don't remember where.
  25. :laugh:Thought so.
