While I absolutely love the Mosquito ship, I'll be removing the front antenna as soon as I get it. I'll probably modify the head further so the cockpit's an actual cockpit, not just an open seat. I'll probably by an extra one of both the Mosquito as well as the Mantis so I'll be able to properly mod the Mantis. And oh my zarquon I love the Vermin Vaporizer even more after seeing that review. The figures look even better now, and that new weapon is very intriguing. But it's kinda embarrassing that the guy reviewing the set doesn't even know that the claws on the scorpion are 2011 HF parts. Very funny that LEGO thought of adding splatted bugs onto the windscreen. That mini-buggy is ridiculously cute. And it reintroduces a part from the old Insectoids line (That seat part). There's a slight disappointment with the mech: I thought it had two different weapons and double-jointed legs. Oh well, that would be kind of difficult to put into the main vehicle.

The show looks awesome! That Crocodile temple/fortress looks like it would be a great set.

Has there been confirmation of a D2C set? If so, I'm excited.

For me, the (only) redeeming part about the Star Slicer (Space Mantis) are those green blades it uses as arms. That perfectly catches the idea of a Mantis for me. That being said, my top three is: 1. Vermin Vaporizer 2. Warp Stinger. 3. Bug Obliterator

If they are (which I hope) do you think they'll introduce new color squads?

Rock Raiders was kinda violent too, using lasers, ray guns and explosives to kill Rock Monsters who were, in fact, just plain hungry.

After seeing the close-ups on brickset, I'm a little less excited about the Vermin Vaporizer. It's a lot less bulky than I thought, and I don't see any space for detailing. Oh well, a good set to mod, I guess. However, I like the Warp Stinger a lot more now. The zamor launcher, which I though would ruin it's "flow", fits in perfectly, and even has a trans-purple zamor sphere! Actually, it looks like the small bug from the Bug Obliterator underwent a metamorphosis. Incidentally, I think those purple pods would look perfect if used in rows. Actually, if this theme gets a D2C set (which I'm hoping for), I expect it to have an Alien queen using that technique.

I hope it's the orange one too. If it's based off of that, anyway.

I understand that, but there's nothing wrong with some larger "elite ships".

To me it looks more like some of the internal parts are extruding from the "cover".

Awesome "window wings" and front prongs.

I hope this will last long enough for us to get some larger and bulkier alien vehicles. The insects just feel so outclassed...

I don't see how any of the human vehicles (or the alien ones, for that matter) are lacking in aesthetics. And if you don't like how they look splitted, you can always mod them so they're just one vehicle

Oh how I wish the Mecha to be a purple version of a Galaxy Patrol robot.
