Beautiful ship. I especially like the light brick function, It really adds to the interior.

It sounds awesome, but you need to make it public. Please do because I really want too see it!

Review: LotR 9469 Gandalf Arrives
Captain Settle replied to Captain BeerBeard's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This set remind's me of classic castle. No raging battles, just two people in the countryside, with a horse and cart. -
I see you've already bought quite a few lotr sets, why aren't they yet available in England . Even though I prefer yellow mini-figs, your flesh colored soldiers actually look quite good.
-
Although I'm more of a pirate fan I still wish I got this set. It would look great with my small castle display.
-
Someones done it in white at last! I like how you've got some grey mixed in, but some SNOT would be nice. But so far it seems very promising.
-
Yeah I've just realized it is like a battle droid's arms.
-
All those elves must have cost a lot of money, but it was worth it for the coolness of that scene.
-
Fantastic MOC. Although the beach is smaller than I imagined in the book, it makes it seem more like an official set.
-
I love the difference between the modern and pat sides. I thought it was all in the past until I saw one of the vans in the last picture and thought "What?"
-
Could you please put a picture from a different view to show how they attach like that.
-
Good find. There seems too be a lot of black pearl MOC's. I don't blame them as I hardly find the official lego BP worthy of the the actual ship.
-
This ship is coming along very well. I like the use of of snot on the deck and the bow technique is nice.
-
I like the colour scheme and how the enemy is the classic interpretation of an alien. I don't like how it seems like it is always an emergency, so there is no time to relax, unlike in space police III. Space Police HQ had a place to sit down and grab a coffee, because not all of them are hero's; some are just people doing their job.

That is one dapper octopus . Nice Technique used to make the top hat.
-
I don't mind that this set is overpriced because of some "Price to piece Ratio". In my opinion if the finished product is good I might get it, like with this set.
-
I think a set for Gandalf's ride at dawn is essential.

Which Lego LOTR Character is your favorite?
Captain Settle replied to Aragorn8713's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Gimli is the best in my opinion. I mean just look at that printed helmet, and the body print is amazing, even if it gets covered up by his awesome beard. -
nice ship. I've got nothing to say that would help you that hasn't already been said though, But I do love the cabin windows.
-
Classic pirates of course! Even though my only ship is the QAR, I still think the classic feel of CP is what makes it great. Every time I get a classic pirate set, I feel in love with the set from the very beginning, because if you get a imperial set over £10 you will already have a decent regiment of soldiers. I also love yellow figs, which is why one of my classic pirates now captains the QAR.

The Eurobricks Collaborative Pirate build at Brickworld Chicago
Captain Settle replied to Big Cam's topic in LEGO Pirates
Great display. My favorite part is either the dry dock, or the ship with the QAR sails. Ah those gold details on the bow -
What date (time period) do you set your pirates in?
Captain Settle replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
Not worth it, the shako's are everything. Then again, if you only did use tricornes, the officers that you get in every set would finally come in use. But no, I don't follow dates very specifically with my LEGO. -
You would feel safe being captain of that ship, having Cannons in your cabin . I really like the cargo hatch on that ship, nice attention to detail; and those sails look very realistic. Good work.

Captain Settle replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
NOOOOOOO! MY PRECIOUS REDCOATS! It doesn't really matter, I don't know much history, and I never really think about the time period. It's just since I only started finding Aztecs in my CMF bags recently, I have been doing MOC's for them, and using them as islanders almost; just more religious islanders. -

I don't have a set date for my LEGO Pirates, no I don't know enough about history for that. Probably around the times of conquistador's, only because now I've got a lot of CMF Aztecs.(I seem to get them in every pack, but Hey, I'm not complaining .)
