  1. How could it be "half correct"??? I think that could very well be the minifig Santa, but it could also be from this year's city advent calender. Anyway, he looks really good. Especially the hat
  2. Pretty Cool. . . I might prefer spending my money on actual LEGOs, but then a storage case might be useful. . .
  3. I'm guessing that he'll look considerably different from the past Santa minifigs.
  4. Don't get me wrong. . . I would love a Fur Trader. It's just that I'm skeptical. . .
  5. It's not easy. . .
  6. B-OM-24A Here is the main view: a sort of 'pocket tennis court', a slide, and a swing (not an easy build!). On the front bench we have an old man getting an afternoon (or morning?) nap in the sun - maybe not the best atmosphere considering the trash can though! Also a bike rack, lamp post, plus yellow pieces to connect this with the official Lego modulars. Community Park by gid617, on Flickr Just so you can get an idea of the slide construction - it's actually not attached to the upright pole that's holding it up. Seems like it must be a nice day - we have several minifigures visiting, and one of them has even set up a barbecue next to the tree! Community Park Side View by gid617, on Flickr Close-up of the court itself - not that big but good enough for a small game. And of course, we have the CMF Series 3 Tennis Player and the Series 7 Tennis Ace! Community Park Tennis Court by gid617, on Flickr Just a head on view so you can get an idea of what a minifigure would feel walking along the side walk . . . 7. Yeah. Love the cars too Like others have said, it would look a bit better with a second floor, but I can understand how that could be challenging!
  8. B-M-06B I decided to try to recreate a traditional red and white pizzeria - and maybe give it a few odd details. The top front wall is built using side-ways building, as well as the curved design on top, and both story roofs have flat tiles underneath for easy removal. As an added benefit, the stories can be turned around (although yes they do look a bit odd that way ). Pizzeria by gid617, on Flickr Unlike the official LEGO minimodulars, I decided to add interior details to be thorough (and discovered why the LEGO designers don't!) . It's not easy to get detailing in on such a small scale. On the right as you look at the picture is the elevator - it really has a blue stripe on the bottom and the top but that isn't visible from this angle. Pizzeria First Floor Interior by gid617, on Flickr In the front was have a fire hydrant (yellow dots on the right) plus some lights on the side of the building. Sideways building for the area above the doorway, as well. Pizzeria Front No Top by gid617, on Flickr A bit of red on the side to enliven the white a little - plus an exit door, just for the fun of it. The other side is identical except for no exit door. No windows because they would just be looking at the next shop's wall. Better just to stick with artificial lighting! The black pieces on the side are so that it can be attached to the other minimodulars. Pizzeria Side by gid617, on Flickr In the back of the top story we have a smaller window, plus some more interior detailing - just too hard to get a good angle.
  9. OK - I don't know much about the Movie (or book). I guess it would work for a fur trader, but I think that if LEGO was going to make a fur trader minifig, they'd do a different kind of hat
  10. Dwarf Hat? Are you talking about the hat on the fourth-from-the-left hobbit from the new pictures (the one that looks to me like it has antlers )
  11. How did you know what I was thinking about the cards? Yeah, that would have been really cool; in fact I'm actually thinking about trying to design some myself. It was kind of dissappointing that every single minifig from the same series comes with the same peice of paper. As far as the Galaxy Patrol (why does everybody call him the space marine or space something? ), it did originnaly look like he had a visor, but after seeing the helment, there's really no way a visor could even fit But yeah, sometimes it's hard to tell what the minifigs come with: I didn't know the Hockey Player had a black dot until I got him! (Yeah, is is on the sheet. Still, other than that you can't tell.) Glad to help w/the hawaiian girl
  12. That's funny - out of 10 packs we got 2 Galaxy Patrols and one Stunt man! No Aztecs though. Still hoping for one of those.
  13. That looks really odd - how wcould Lego get a compleatly different piece on such a thing? IMHO the original one looks much better
  14. Yeah. I could tell just by looking at the bag that something was different. I think it's the really big armour (coupled w/the hat) that does it.
  15. I would love a Fur-trader sort of guy. But given the fact that this list was translated, I'm guessing it's a buisnessman
  16. I agree about most of those but I'm not so sure about the portable PC. Too similar to S7, if you ask me. Not that I wouldn't like another one but. . .
  17. Yeah, it took me forever to turn the Galaxy Patrol's head around. . .
  18. Here is episode 16 (or episode 3. . . Double Trouble, at any rate ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbXncNnQMNQ&feature=channel&list=UL And episode 17 trailer is also on Youtube
  19. Perhaps I should have said, In case anybody is here. . . Edit: Sorry about the triple posting
  20. In case anybody here doesn't know, episode 16 (double trouble, poor quality) can now be seen, as well as the trailer for episode 17 (also poor quality)!
  21. Yeah. Way out of proportion. Just compare it to a Surf board! And compared to a snowboard it is huge!
  22. If it's anything like the hawaian girl from series 3, it's really complicated; you have to bend it in several directions and get the holes stuck in just right and then if you let it go before you've got the torso put on, it might come flying out! Actually, I had more trouble turning the Space Marine's head around. . .
  23. Anybody have any idea as to when we'll be seeing the rest of Lloyd's cards?
  24. Hmmm. . . I really love the Galaxy Patrol (S7), Gladiator (S5), and I also like the Hockey Player + Artist (S4), Bandit (S6), Sleepyhead (S6), plus the Aztec and Viking (S7) although I haven't gotten them yet. . . Of S8 the conquistador and Ancient Thespis sound good - plus a couple others. To what minifig are you refering when you say the geisha??
