Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Kai NRG replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm pretty new here, and I'm thinking about joining the Kaliphlin Guild - my question is, are there any pieces that are absolutly needed to join a guild, and are there some that will be vrey helpful, or do I not have to worry about that? Thanks -
Short legs fit fine in a spinner: in fact, they are actually IMO better because it is much harder to get the required amount of leverage necessary to knock out such a small minifig. Also, the CMF Small Clown has short green legs. . . Yeah, that's an awesome crown. Especially since it's transparent but no snake heaads

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I agree. He looks a lot better than the old Santa. A bit thin, of course, but that was to be expected -
I don't know: Maybe a window? Or a touch of gold?? I like how you have the window at the top though!
-
To me they're faces look a bit like tiger faces. . . I think they're all wearing the same type of hat though. That's because he's earth - his normal and ZX spinners were both green. If you ask me they csould be brown or black, but oh well.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Actually, I see all the CMF's more as individual minifigs than army - or in this case team - builders. So for me, a number is fine. -
True. Still, I think thease are cool!

The Black bounty does seem like just a color change, but how are the new suits just palette swaps? Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the weapons (and likely also the Stone Army) have something to do with the Island of Darkness (which in turn has something to do with the pirates). I really can't wait until we get out of this "Lord Garmadon creating and destroying something in every episode" phase and into the real plot! I don't know, they seem pretty cool to me. Anyway, the top piece might end up each slightly different from each other.

Sure

They look really cool, and a lot more like the traditional "ninja" than the ZX (although those were awesome). It seems like they might be the new suits the ninja will use - although I guess we'll find out in the next few episodes. . . They do! Although, since the front of the book is cartoonish, they'll probably look a bit less like lightsabers in LEGOs (if we ever get them. . . )

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, I realy don't think this Series is so bad. Sure, it's a step down from S7, but who was really expecting one that good right away again anyways? I'm not a big army builder either, so to me the number on the Football player is fine - sure you can't build a team, but it makes it more realistic. Yeah. The S1 cowboy was more a counterpart to the bandit than anything else. . . -
That's true, and I would have loved to add another floor. But like I said, I just don't get the right kind of sets (I tend to stick with getting several $15-20 range sets rather than one big one, and those don't have that many bricks ). So I really couldn't do an estra floor.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

I think the pirate could very likely be a prelude to a future Ninjago Pirate season. The rest seem more to be connected with current or past themes (alien from alien conquest; bat from Monster Fighters). The only other possiblity that occures to me is a possible SA indian/Spanish theme (w/something like the conquistdor and Aztec), but that doesn't seem too likely. -
B-OM-24E Well, I don't have that may bricks suited to building a modular, but I decided to give it a try! So here's my Museum of the Middle Ages: Museum of the Middle Ages by gid617, on Flickr The front of the museum originally belonged to a castle, thus the doors. Of course, it has been modernized somewhat! On top there are two knights jousting (or maybe engaged in battle?) and on top of the turret stands another warrior. There are also four tourists walking around, plus a busnessman passing by. If you look closely at this next picture you can see the throne inside. Museum of the Middle Ages W/O Tourists by gid617, on Flickr On the right in the interior we have a knight, and also stairs leading to the roof. Not too much on this side because the stairs take up a lot of room. There is a bow and arrow hanging on the wall. And of course, the king is there, but he is not visible from this angle (his front is truned toward the window anyway). Museum Right Side Exibit by gid617, on Flickr On the left side we have first the court jester, with a tuba , then a chest full of gold (it actually does have gold and jewels inside!), on top of that a mini-knight on his dragon, and also a golden weapon rack. The tip of a black minifigure platform is for the blue knight. Museum Left Side Exibit by gid617, on Flickr And last but not least, a detailed throne across from the door: Museum Throne by gid617, on Flickr You can also see more pictures on my flickr photostream .

Excelent modular! A bit of interior detailing would look good, but I love how you split the colors!

Nice Park! But I don't quite get the alien. Why it he there?

Or how about a root beer? That would be cooler, IMHO, and more likely that LEGO would do it -
OK. That makes sense

It's not from IMDB either. . . they still have the same description. Hmm. I don't know where else it could be from!- 4,591 replies

Especially like the starcase with the book shelf. . . Awesome modular!

Yeah, that also looks a bit odd, since Lloyd is always in grey. Edit: Does anybody know why the picture of the front of the Character Encyclopedia says it's "not approved by Licensor"? Does that mean LEGO has not certified it?

Yeah. The idea of a "female alien" seems a bit strange. . . -

Yeah, I noticed. Funny! To me, Dareth looks a bit like the new S8 Diver. . . minus the hat and leads, of course. Supposedly this is what will happen in Episode 5 (althouh we have had a couple false descriptions. . . Still, it seems acurate.)- 4,591 replies

I know, the idea of a newspaper is not new. Still, I don't have one (or two) and this one also has very nice detailing. Like Ojik says, the Buisnissman minifigure has nice parts, but put together he's just to plain. A little like the S7 DareDevil, if you ask me.
