I bought my first set of Decool figures this week and am generally happy with them - the only disappointment was my Shazam who seemed to be quite poorly printed. Has anyone that has bought Decool or Sheng Yuan figures been sent the boxes when they've purchased? If so, where did you buy from?

But Lego claims to hate the aftermarket. Why then do something which merely feeds that aftermarket? Other companies seem to manage to produce SDCC exclusives which don't alienate the rest of their fans, either by offering limited numbers for sale outside the convention or by making the packaging exclusive but not the content. Lego has had some of its most loyal fans point this out to them each year when the exclusives have been announced but has chosen to repeatedly ignore those comments. For a brand which has prided itself on its links with its community that seems really shoddy to me.

Hi everyone This is the first castle MOC built by my 8 year old son, Nat which I promised him I'd add to EB. It mostly uses pieces from my old castle sets, especially 6073 and 6080 (which means lots of molded wall pieces). The fence pieces are from 369 (the Coast Guard Station). The biggest lesson he's learned is not to make the model an odd number of pieces wide as it made building the roof and adding the doors quite difficult for him. I've been teaching him about building walls, hence the way he's built the tower at the top of the model; he (and I!) are keen to practice new techniques. I'm going to be showing Nat any replies to this thread so be nice everyone!

I've just noticed my name on the bonus list. If that means a prize, that's fantastic - I really didn't expect to get anything. If it doesn't, no problem. I certainly wouldn't want the organisers to go to any further personal expense on my account. I love EB but am much more a lurker so to even be able to enter was great. Personally, I had enough fun watching my kids put together the submission and they had a blast as well. Thanks again to Cop Mike and everyone else involved.

If the sets are going to be minifig driven I'd much rather have a random building to help create a street scene/diorama than a vehicle which makes no sense. That said, I'd much rather have a comic book location than anything else.

Giant goblin makes me sad. I was really hoping that we'd get the classic comic costume. And, as a comic geek in my youth, I would have preferred the green and yellow costume for Electro. Other than that I'm really happy with all of the figs, although some of the sets are a little dull. I know some haven't liked the Hydra goon but I think he looks great and may well try to pick up quite a few of him!

I think like many others I have concerns that there are some very important locations and characters that are yet to appear in Lego form. The series would also really benefit from a few more Riders of Rohan, perhaps in a battle pack. My riders at the moment won't be installing fear in the Uruk-Hai any time soon!

Well, I asked my 5 and 7 year old to do what they could and this is what they came up with! I'm not sure they understand the concept of symmetry... Thanks for organising the competition!

Would it be worth building a list of UK independent stores that sell Lego? (It wouldn't be worth including chains like Argos or WH Smith as they'll be the same all over the country). We could do it on here or even build the list on a Wiki.
