Wow, that seems like a really good deal. I just crossed referenced bricklink and ebay prices on the sets individually and they are quite a bit more expensive than that price, looks like i'll be getting on board on that one! Cheers for the link.

lol, i love living in the country. Target here had heaps of r2's and everything else on the shelf. Bought a vw off the myer website today, might get another one next week and mabye a tower bridge as well.

Wow, big project! I'm looking to do this later on myself, but since i've never used bricklink before for parts (only full sets) i decided to start small and build the 10027 train shed first as sort of a test run. With 670 odd pieces it's turning out to be frustrating enough on it's own so i applaud you for your effort here! Can't wait to see your end result, will watch with interest.

Got 3 r2's tonight. One for myself, one for my son and one to keep all pretty in it's box :) I'll be hitting up myer for the vw tomorrow

I'm the same mate, i also have a issue with room but i'll be definately making room in the next house i build! I have room for probably one to display at the moment, and i'm leaning toward the carousel because of its awesomeness! Plus i believe it appeals to most people regardless of whether they're lego fans or not. I probably won't build the modulars until i have the room to display them properly, along with my train layout. So it's pretty much between the ships, carousel and the death star, which my sons are hounding me to build! :p

Nice sets! I have an emerald night setup exactly the same as yours, one carrige just isn't enough for the emerald night! I also have the maersk with 4 cars, not as impressive as yours though!

Unsure what to get during these sales. I'll be going for 2 or 3 r2d2's and mabye jabbas palace. Big w have the super star destroyer which is tempting given it's just under $500. Pity the monster fighters aren't out here yet, will be interested in those when they arrive. I have gone to toyworld and put 2 winter bakerys on lay by, for the price i thought they were good value.

I also struggle with this choice myself. I have all the modular buildings plus an extra emporium all still boxed up and wrapped in bubble wrap. I have the grand carousel, 2 death stars, 2 black pearls, 2 queen annes revenge, imperial flagship, 10027 train shed and the emerald night just to name a few and i can't seem to bring myslef to cut the little seals open! Damn, i've got a real problem here!!

I buy most of my lego abroad, purely because it's always cheaper than buying in oz. I have all of the modulars and all but 2 were bought in the states. The 2 i bought local was only because i made a deal with the seller to ship free if i bought both of them at the same time. Having said that, it was both the pet shop and emporium and i still paid $440 delivered when i could have bought them from bricklink and saved $60 odd bucks doing it that way. I'm constantly keeping an eye on sales at target etc. and buying what i can that way. But for the bigger stuff i rarely bother looking local anymore at all. Postage prices here will also be much higher given our geography. I live in a country area 3 hours from the city and it'll cost me say $30 to ship a pet shop 3 hours down the road whereas i bought the tower bridge from amazon in the states and it shipped for $20!! It's the way it is, not much you can do about it.

Hi, I'm new, so go easy! Probably been asked heaps of times so i'm sorry if it has. The 10027 "big red" train shed has caught my eye recently as a potential addition to my set. I don't have any older 9 volt trains as i've just recently rediscovered my love for lego and only have pf trains. Firstly, will the pf track mate up with the 9 volt of the shed? Also, will the pf trains fit in the shed? I have the emerald night, maersk and 7939 freighter and was wondering if they'll fit in without modification. Sorry if these are painfully obvious questions!

Hi all, New here, and love the site! So far i have 2 emerald nights, one with 3 cars. I have the yellow freighter and also the maersk train which is pulling 5 trailers. Concentrating now on some buildings for my layout atm.
