Which amazon site? I've never seen them that cheap.

What's their price? It's noe saying unavailable on that link. I bought 1 of these off a guy in perth for $529 shipped. When it arrived i was disappointed to find the box was all banged up so i contacted him to arrange a replacement. I ended up buying it off him for $400! Plus i bought another one off him, his last one. Seems if you want a good price you need to go offshore, which is why i jumped on his while i had the chance.

i always buy at least 2, but sometimes get 3 or 4 depending on price. For example, i have 3 death stars. 1 for me, 1 for my son when he's a bit older and one for collection/resale later on. I have a hell of alot of lego still sealed up but it's only because i'm collecting for a city/train layout and cannot set it up at my current residence. I'll be building down the track and will be making plans for a man cave to have my layout in!

Wow, that's not too bad that price really, nice job. I've come across a guy that's selling 2 of these. One is new and sealed and the other has been made once and taken apart and sorted into ziplock bags. At $1200 for the second one which includes all the parts, instructions and box, i'm thinking about jumping on this. The new one is also not bad at $2000, the cheapest i've seen in a while.

My local target still had some a week after the sale started but they're all gone now. Glad i grabbed 3 when i could.

As you know, living in oz can suck a bit when it comes to shipping. I have found however that you need to bundle as much as possible in one order to cut down on your costs. Most places will charge you a minimum, regardless of whether there's one piece or 100 pieces in there, so make sure you order as much as you can from one shop. I also found the shipping from europe is nearly always cheaper than shipping from the states. When you're in bricklink in a shop having a browse just check out their splash pages, most have their shipping costs and weights in there, gives you a good idea.

Wow, i congratulate you guys on such dedication. I want this set but given i'm just soooo fussy about having everything original, i'll be paying big $$$ and buying one sealed up, i just gotta have the box and instructions, plus i'm too lazy for bricklinking such a big set. Still haven't finished doing my 10027 train shed yet!

Haha, i've been watching the same. One guy from china with 0 feedback has sold the ucs shuttle and cafe corner in the last 2 days. Now, he may be 100% legit but it always makes me nervous dealing with those newbies with goodies such as those. Anyhoo, $1000 au in his pocket, just hope the buyers know what they're doing and that their stuff turns up.

Still readily available on bricklink for $140 odd bucks, quite a few on there as well. Thinking about getting another one myself.

Meh, i'll still buy it no matter what and so will everyone who wants it regardless of price. Why? Because it's freaking awesome!!! Yeah aussie prices are high yada yada yada but it'll always be that way. I buy alot from overseas on bricklink and work sites like ebay, gumtree and such to pick up good deals in oz and so far have done well. I find if you're patient, good deals will come along.

Yeah i'm the same. I've got heaps away at the moment so i'm going to concentrate on getting those under control before i layby more. When another 20% off comes on i'll be going for the lighthouse and hillside house as well.

Also missed the SSD which is a shame. Living in regional areas makes it very difficult for me, given that the closest big W is 2 hours away, i made the call and was told that there were 8 in stock but they wouldn't do anything over the phone which was very frustrating. I rang at seven this morning to see if they had any left, only to be told they sold out as soon as they opened at midnight. Oh well, on the plus side i picked up a death star today for 500 delivered to my door, which was pretty sweet!
