  1. Erik shrugs. "Your essence, up to you." "Since the hex prevents them from damaging us for the whole round, we'd be better to pile attacks on one of the hexed enemies. Preventing the free hit from the knight is worthwhile, but I wouldn't worry about the creeping hand."Erik attacks the Skeleton Mage from the front row with the Titanic Axe. Battle order: William William (if using repeating crossbow) Warlen Erik Siercon (if revived) Avalanche Alexander
  2. Does skull guard just protect from the next action used against it, or the whole round? Erik tears a squirrel from his chest and throws it away, accompanied by the chunk of flesh still gripped in its teeth. Staggering into the back row, he swings his titanic axe at Carrion Squirrels A. Battle order: Erik William Siercon Avalanche Alexander Warlen
  3. Oh yeah I must have missed it. You would still be K/O'ed. Sorry.
  4. Siercon would actually have no risk of KO if he attacked Skeleton Knight, if you want to save the potion. Also, William's already targeting Squirrel B Battle order: Warlen William Erik Alexander Siercon Avalanche
  5. "Sorry guys, I must have miscounted the enemies. Warlen, actually, do you mind trying out your healing staff on Avalanche? I'll take the hit from the Skeleton Mage so we don't risk him being K/O'ed. William, do you think you could use your repeating crossbow to stop another free hit? Actually, thinking about it the repeating crossbow does more damage overall than the croise crossbow, since you're attacking twice as much, and few of the enemies can damage you anyway." Erik attacks Carrion Squirrels A from the front row with the Titanic Axe (Repeat)
  6. "Probably safest. Those Carrion Squirrels look like they'll hit you pretty hard with all those bones." Oh Erik should be on full health from Natural Respite too. Order Erik Warlen William Siercon Alexander Avalanche
  7. "First demons, now undead; someone's gathering an army here!" Erik exclaims. He attacks Carrion Squirrels A from the front row with the Titanic Axe. Battle Order will come when more people have posted actions
  8. Haha no worries I think I just ninja'ed you with a change to the challenge actually
  9. "Okay, I'm fine with Immortal. The other one would make the battle take twice as long, so Immortal probably gets us points slightly faster." I just did some calculations and assuming that challenges run with You Only Die Twice take twice as long as challenges with Immortal, Immortal does get GP faster. There's a bit of a risk if the immortal enemy is particularly hard-hitting, but between Erik and William we can hopefully tank it.
  10. I doubt Erik will be joining a faction any time soon, but at this point I'm thinking he's more likely join Sungold and vote for Illdria as leader. I've always thought of Erik as aligning more with the Crescent values, but he hasn't actually seen them do anything to back up their values anyway. Actually, I could go in for an Eric/Erik teamup to bring down Sungold from the inside, if that's on the table. Also, question about the Fields of Glory: If a party flees from the roaming monster, does it remain at the same location?
  11. "The "You only die twice" challenge would definitely earn us more Glory Points, and if it makes the fight too hard someone can always throw a smokebomb, so I'm up for that. I was a bit hesitant to add a challenge since I suspect this area will be harder than the previous one, but if everyone else is happy to give it a try, why not? I don't think I brought a smokebomb, though, so if it comes to that we'll have to use someone else's."
  12. Ah sorry I forgot a battle order. Thanks for using the previous rounds' order. Erik picks up the bone, and peers dubiously at it, before looking around at the carnage of a field of dead animals. "Guess I'll hold onto this for now. We can always redistribute later." "I seem to recall a plan to head west? Shall we head to area 12: Ghastly Marsh, or play it safe by opening a route to the sanctuary through area 11: Butterfly Plains? Or I believe someone suggested we just clear the easy areas for quick experience - we could do that, but if we're hanging around for a while we might be better off coming back to them later and doing harder challenges to earn more glory points." Area 12 Ghastly Marsh with Challenge: Immortal
  13. "Ha. Did I say I'd deal with you scum eventually, demons?" Erik spits at Scarecrow B, attacking it with the Titanic Axe from the front row.
  14. "Not for sale." Erik changes weapons to the Twin Axe and attacks Scary Crows C from the front row. Dual strike hitting same target. Battle Order Erik Warlen Siercon Avalanche William Alexander
  15. "With you keeping that big crow mob off our backs, the rest of us can pile on the mad cow!" Erik yells back over the whirling wind. He attacks Mad Cow from the front row with the Titanic Axe. Battle order: William Erik Siercon Avalanche Alexander Warlen
  16. No worries. Seeing William protecting the party, Erik drags his Titanic Axe into the front row, and if Alexander rolls special damage, physically attacks the Mad Cows, otherwise he casts Lightning at Scary Crows C. Battle order William Alexander Avalanche Siercon Erik Warlen
  17. Okay. I found this in quest 130, which is where I got the impression it wasn't rolled - when Sarge isn't confused, Sandy specifically says it's a critical hit, whereas when he is confused it doesn't specify. I wouldn't bother searching through quests though, confused is just too confusing.
  18. Erik uses a remedy on Alexander from the back row. Battle order: Erik William Siercon Avalanche Warlen Alexander Order/actions subject to change
  19. So a hero who is confused and hits an ally just does damage = level+WP+power bonus, right? They can't deal critical hits or anything?
  20. Taken aback to see demons on a farm, Erik freezes, and by the time he recovers he sees his companions are already laying into the enemies. "I don't think those scarecrows could scratch Siercon, so next round it might be worth leaving them both to him. Alexander, if you could hit the cows or one of the smaller groups of crows, that'd be great." Erik blasts a lightning bolt at Scary Crows A through the Titanic Axe from the back row. Battle Order: Erik William Siercon Avalanche Warlen Alexander
  21. "Ah, of course. I'd forgotten how you warden fellows enjoy taking other peoples wounds. Actually, I believe I misunderstood how these challenges work. Looks like there's no point doing a challenge with less than a 2x modifier on our first battle, but maybe next battle we can take that challenge." So, No Challenge for the first battle, since all the GP bonus will get rounded off anyway, unless we want to do one with at least 2xGP. Also, thanks Flipz "Perhaps. Might help to see how easy our first battle is before we decide, though." He tilts his head at the knights comment on immortality, nodding once despite clearly having no clue what was meant. "Yeah, it might get too tough for us, but it's at least worth investigating."
  22. "Lend it to Siercon, if you don't mind - my axe has a garnet in it anyway." Erik says, as he lends the Darkstar Wand to Warlen, and the Silver Cup of Victory to Avalanche. He also offers the lighter armour to William."Pleasure to meet you, Mr Donauld. I did come here hoping to find the blasted bugbear that stole my book, but I'm happy to see what we can do about this monster in the west." The battle-mage turns to the rest of the party, after peering at the map for a time. "The Corn Maze (Location 3) seems a good place to start - it gets us closer to the Sanctuary, if we need it, and we'll be heading West, so we might at least get a look at whatever's causing this 'tomfoolery'. Taking the 'See You in Hell' challenge also looks like a good idea to me, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone disagrees." Wait Erik doesn't have Restoration, sorry. I don't know why I put that there.
  23. So Sarfangr in Heroica isn't enemies with the rest of the northern gods, then? Or Eric would just still rather support him than the weak southern gods ? Also that's a cool picture. Reminds me of that crazy lady from Game of Thrones who kept setting fire to people.
  24. Is there a particular format you want stats in? Also I plan to lend out some items to other heroes on the quest - would you rather I do that in the hall or in the FOG thread?
  25. If Farfarello uses his free hit against Thormanil before Pretzel's turn, I think that would knock out Pretzel as well because they're soul linked. Then Namyrra would have a chance. Alternatively, Sandy might be planning to have the party wake up in a cage or something. Reasonably common QM/DM move in other games.
