  1. A building which really should be included in the Architecture series and I love how you've managed it at such small scale.
  2. Great! I'm going to deal with my mini modulars when I have time soon, so will probably adapt this and I'll check out axalonark too. Thanks! Keen to separate my minis a bit as they look much better when not together. I also bought a second set, so might try adding floors like with the modulars!
  3. Very Cubist!
  4. Interesting choice! Love the flag especially.
  5. Beautiful! I like the choice of round windows to represent the tiny arch windows.
  6. I was inspired by my sister, Leela... I told her I was spending too much time with LEGO. She said she pictured me in a cave in a robe with disciples turning up to gaze upon my structures in wonder. I said that sounds like a sweet MOC. She said yes, except you couldn't represent the LEGO structures. I said that sounds like a challenge. Then I thought of the nanoblocks, except of course it is cheating.
  7. Yup, instantly recognisable! This would be a good addition to the Architecture range.
  8. Everything about this model is fantastic, and the '40s minifigs and poster really bring it to life! I wish I could get to Stockholm!
  9. Love this! The yellow looks amazing, a colour you would not think of using if you were building a temple.
  10. What a fun idea! And kinda realistic... if they made a moonbase they would probably build it in sections... love it! Looks fantastic already
  11. Fantastic!!! Now make the DUPLO one
  12. Thanks so much Roger! You must have been having a really good conversation I wish I had seen it... by the time I heard how good it was it had sold out. Of course.
  13. Thanks Leo! It really complicated the build but I'm glad I did it.
  14. He answered very well, that was interesting. Thanks for posting the link
  15. I have the Meerkat set, a friend saw it in Australia and thought of me. I too enjoyed the instructions, not having my hand held all the way. The teensy bricks were, frankly, quite irritating! One thing these imitation LEGO bricks are really good for is... imitating LEGO bricks!
  16. The third shot of the model matches your pic of the original beautifully! Very interesting building and a great job.
  17. Play.com have a 10% promo voucher today only, use the code on the banner Some decent deals: £63 Batcave £65 Republic Frigate £52 Podracers £36 Tie Fighter
  18. Nice tumblr of Brutalist buildings here - contains swearing!
  19. Fantastic! That's a lot of tan. Well done for making it through the build alive!
  20. Amazing, all those months of hard work got you 1800 supports and then it all paid off... the power of television still reigns supreme over the interwebs. Congratulations (once again! - the more I learn about your campaign the more I appreciate your dedication).
  21. I thought it might be useful to have a thread for LEGO news/events/general info around the Games, especially seeing as there is a LEGO store near the main stadium and perhaps visiting AFOLs might also go to Legoland Windsor for a day trip. And to kick things off, I have heard a rumour; there may be a special sporting minifig set available at all UK brand stores. I wonder if they would be new figs or just a collection of existing sports ones. Customised "London 2012" ones would be ace.
  22. I liked yesterday's skin! Today's is nice'n'all, but yesterday's was great!
  23. Wonderful! Love the colour wheel. Is it possible to make trans clear minifigs? I wondered, as I have a head and a chefs hat but didn't know if there were trans bodies.
  24. Not sure if this is oooold news, but just saw that LEGO have released branded storage drawers.
  25. Haha! Love the ears.
