You've got an awesome mom!

Good thing your mom doesn't open those orders or I get the feeling you'd get a lecture!

MCW Indexes Discussion Topic
purpleparadox replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I was thinking about using some of the decals in the index so I read the tutorial on printing decals. I had no trouble using Word to get Luxorv's decals to print in the right size. However, I could NOT make any of Severus's decals print at the right size. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone help me? -
The sorting hat, so it must be the great hall!

I wouldn't call how I buy Friends sets weakening. I use them as parts packs and get rid of the mini dolls. (Not throwing them out, selling them and trading them for useful minifigs.) But... If YOU buy them to build the sets... That might be weakining. To each his own, I guess!

I didn't include MOC in the title because despite the fact that I made it, it seemed too simple to be called a creation. It is mostly a display for the minifigs. It was built to show them off, not my building skills. I was reading Batman: Battle for the Cowl when I saw this scene. All I could think was, this would be so easy to recreate in LEGO! All I needed was the minifigs from the Catwoman Catcycle City Chase set. So I bought the set and put together this SIMPLE scene. First, here's some reference pics: And here's my version, in Lego: Well, although it's simple, everyone has to start somewhere and I hope you liked looking at it! EDIT: I updated it and I think it looks a lot better! Thanks for the advice, guys!

The Penguin's Movie and Cartoon Minifigures. )
purpleparadox replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Spielburg can't make bad movies and The Penguin can't make bad customs! Like always, I love it! What are you using for his jacket/trenchcoat thing? I'm working on my first custom, and I hope to someday be as good as you! -
Yet ANOTHER reason to wish I had a Lego store closer than 3 hours away.
-
I just went and checked all my pockets in the hopes of a "discovery". No luck, but I'll be off to the store later today to pick up some Lego! That sounds pretty good, although I'd rather have a partner who shares the Lego hobby.

And the LEGO store workers are fine with all of this? Cramming in pieces until the cup is overflowing and taping the lid on?

I don't know if it's been discussed already, but I've got a question. I know the rules state that you can't use any of the new minifigs or their accessories. What if their accessories aren't new, or come in different colours? Then is it ok to use them? What I'm basically asking is, can I use old colours of the new minifigs accessories in my entry? Thanks.

You're so right. You can fit, what, two? Three? Minifigs in one pocket of your jeans easy. Multiply that by 4 pockets and add shirt and jacket pockets, and you've got a lot of minifigs snuck into your house.

Thank you. You are COMPLETELY right. I feel stupid for making a topic about this now. Sorry everybody.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really can't say I like Loki's helmet. I just don't like it! I know it's accurate but there's just SOMETHING about it that I can't like. It seems a bit too...rubbery. There are some pieces that I can handle in rubber, but that's not one of them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they make it in ABS plastic and that it looks better in real life than it does in the pictures. -
Hi! I have NO IDEA where to post this, but since it relates to custom minifigs, I thought here would be an alright place. Mods, feel free to move it if I'm wrong. So, I'm working on a custom minifig. The thing is, I need a pair of sand green legs. I have NONE of these. Can anyone provide me with a list of all the minifigs that have sand green legs? Thanks!

The main selling point for ME was the minifigs.

Thanks. I think that's what I'll go with. All the characters in the Superheroes set are important, main characters, VS most of the characters in the SW set being fairly generic and uninteresting characters. Maybe I'll get on Bricklink someday if I feel the need for a Commander Gree.

You sir, are one of the luckiest men alive. Good luck turning her into an AFOL! Someday I'm going to find a girl who supports my addiction! (And hopefully she'll also use LEGO too!)

O Wise LEGO Masters of Eurobricks, I have a question. I need to decide between 6862 Superman vs. Power Armour Lexand 9491 Geonosian Cannon. The price doesn't tip the scale for either set, they are both $25 here. Thanks!

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

In my opinion, any character in minifig form is good enough for Lego. To each his own!
