i on't agree with you, i think the temple is pretty awesome! there are lots of deatails, and look at all that gold pieces! i'm getting one of these for sure, and also of the jungle duel and the jungle cutter..oh, i think i must get them all! *tongue*

actually it does, but i wanted to have a key somewhere, and just didn't know where to put it, so this is where it ended up :-P I recognized the thing with the many broen too, but unfortunately i have a little lack of bricks at the moment..so maybe i'll change that a little bit in the net weeks.

That's really very underwhelming, if it is true, and so it seems....so i think the only possibility for me to get that set is anytime months after it comes out on ebay or something, for a better price.

2500 pieces?! where shouldall those pieces be?? that just CAN't be right, that seems technically impossible...even the 2007 big castle has less than 1000 pieces, and i would thing that it is not too small...

wow, that's really cool! i already thought about doing something similar with my sets, but haven't worked out yet how to do it exactly. i love how good all the colors of the new sets work together!

Man, these sets are so awesome. Incredible work done by the designers there, must have took a long time to get all this ogether. if they weren't too expensive i would go and buy them all 3 right away *wub*

I decided to not put the trailer higher, since there are not really existing "off road" trailers i think. but it does look a bit weird, so maybe i'll do a mod on that, too. I simply used those feathered red off road-axes, they look like this (sorry for the blurry picture):

I got this overall very sweet set a few days ago, and the only thing i don't like at all is the wide trace of the wheels, and that they are pretty high for an off road vehicle. So i decided to do a very quick modulation, with those great red axes from former 4WD-Vehicles. It's so simple, but yet very effective, and gives it a real off road-look. I got a few pics, so tell me what you think about it! :-D

OMG, i just saw this thread and that they're really are going to make elves! i'm so freakin' excited, cause that's what i wanted lego to do since a long time. can't wait 'till the new sets, 2009 seems to become an even better castle year than this year :-D Edit by *yoda* : watch your language please !! Great review! But what i just noticed..how do they navigate the ship? there is no steering wheel or something else! And how do they move the small boats? Nothing to row them there, as far as i see...

simply ask the seller if all is complete and if the set/the bricks are in good shape. can't really do much wrong there. most of the old sets you can't get unopened and new anymore unfortunately.

are there any photos of the stuff the 2008 castle advent calender includes?

the "boss" of the orcs in the tower raid set has got a golden helmet and the new iron armor. it looks great! gonna shoot the photos now, the review should be up in at least 2 hours.

I will write something about that in my review later today cause that's one thing that bothers me too a little bit, so stay tuned. I just got finished with building up my just arrived brand new black knights castle!
