It is not even a box really, it's just a cardboard sheet with windows behind which are little picures, just like a normal advent calendar that comes with magazines. You can fold out one side as you can see so that is able to stand on a table.

I remember having one of these back in the days, i don*t know if it was exactly this one, but it looked similar for sure. Unfortunately those didn't have any lego parts in it, but just pictures. I think it may came with the lego club magazine, but i'm not sure.

Man, i thought they reported something about a new set for 2009 on TV when i saw the title Cool building though, i like it

I really like the color scheme more and more, persoally i think orange and lme green are made to be together, and i also like the glimpses of blue on the minifigs. So far, i'd say my favorites are 8958, 8960 and 8961. Don't like the design of the others too much, but these three i'll get pretty sure.
