  1. for red rims you can use container block http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47676 within tire and wheel like you can see on my Deere 7230R http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=535335
  2. Very nice, wheelbase is perfect, cab is very good, just put black rims on it (if you have them) and it will be perfect. Just one idea - you can put front winch and other forestry attachments like on wftrac http://www.werner-trier.com/1/wf-trac/the-concept/
  3. Povratnik, exactly; they are inside tire together with wjeel from 8448 set
  4. I like to make mocs because there is so much arround us that could be great models, not to mention that it is challenge to make good model of a real thing. Everyone hes to decide what her or he wants to make original models or mocs. Due to economical reasons technic models have (imho) mostly unfinished or unusual solutions. Typical example v4 engines - they only exist in motogp, and machinery has usually inline 6 engines. some big douers have v12 and mercedes actros had v6 and v8 engines until last year... to make "copy" of someone else's moc is like plagiat and it is not some special level of creativity, but everyone has a freedom of choice;-)
  5. I like model the best set after Unimog U400 which is my favorite. But honestly I think of buying two of them and make 3 axles articulated hauler. I've become Unimog as present from my wife and thought great for parts. they I've waited for compressor (it was missing from box) with unfinished model. After a while I've deiced to buy another for parts, because I did not want to tokk it a part. The same was with 8448 convertible and I can not say that with 42030 will not happen... The reason why I want to buy complete model is that it is better than to buy only parts. Remember that wheels from 8264 set were really expensive. for about 10 wheels I could buy whole set in Muller store and If I may say so - it it never enough LEGO parts. As mostly of my models have transmission, It would be nice to put one 9F & 3R transmission in hauler. If you think it is weird, I wont blame you. sorry if explanation is to boring... Hi Neighbor, I use 8X8 dishes, part 3961. regards I
  6. I could not agree more. Finally (when I bought this set) I could make my flagship - it will be lime green with one E-motor (that I need from this set) and some interesting technical solutions... of course this model will be also adopted to yellow rims and green engine http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=535335
  7. exactly. IMHO just yellow rims are the reason to buy this set, not to mention panels and green engine and green beams. We must be reasonably and except that bucket allone costs (in production) probably like whole pins from 42009, and mog tires are more expensive than 62.4X20
  8. Hope to find some 11 holes beam in green with engine and 3X3 L shape thin liftarms were nice in green, but lets wait til august to see final product... btw. Volvo does build 4X4 articulated howlers A25D models if I'm not mistaken. Anyway great B-model despite several 11X5 yellow panels "missing"...
  9. first of all very nice job. Since you have no big enough bucket, you can make something from forestry line like grapple (since people on 42030 topic wonted some forestry machine) http://www.volvoce.c...<!--NoParse1--> just one info (if I could help) gear reduction on portal axles is 3:1 with one gear 24 tooth and one 8 tooth (at least on video)
  10. and it would be perfect for "my" John Deere 7230R bith yellow rims and green engine as you can see under http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=535335 you're right as you can see under this link http://www.deere.com/wps/dcom/en_US/products/equipment/forwarders/forwarders.page?
  11. exactly, even smaller classes have front suspended axles and some bigger have independent suspension at the front. JCB Fastrac has both front and rear suspension
  12. by my calculations 22-23 studs or someone correct me
  13. nr. 2 and nr.5, but I do not know if there is yellow dish 6 x 6 inverted Igor
  14. Indeed, I apologize for my doubts about it. We only do not know if there is 4 or 6 cylinder engine inside. My guess is 4 cylinder Igor what we can see on this image http://www.flickr.co...08/12212356314/ it could be (finally) 6 cylinder in-line engine made by LEGO
  15. exactly the same issue as on 9398. But honestly yellow wheels racing medium is what I was waiting for at least 7 years. Now patience payed off. just have to wait if there is fake engine or just green block to act as fake engine. Never the less everything I want from set is there - Yellow rims, yellow rims, yellow rims, yellow rims, and a number of parts. It would be great august this year. Igor
  16. Paul, I believe that new suspension arms will be used with new small hubs (both the same as on snowmobile). Second due to problems with big turning cycle with CV joints I think it would be only rear wheel drive something like on extreme cruiser 8081. Why no hubs - it looks disproportional to have 5 studs high axle and only 10,5 studs tire diameter (81.6 X 38R) as you can see on your "New Suspension ideas using the new 2014 parts" BS folder. Regards Igor
  17. Regarding powerpuller tires, well they look great but are not worth it due to the extreme forces involved in making them move and not break whatever model they are in. Better to stick to smaller or at least lighter tires. exactly, they are to wide for steering and can only be properly used on non steered axles or on articulated vehicles like front loader or articulated tractors etc... you got the picture. Only way to make them useful (for my creations) is to make powepullers taller ind thinner...Not to mention that they are quite heavy and require another rim, so I do not think that we will ever see them again, perhaps some tire 102 X 38 R with buggy pattern to fit wheel racing medium, but not anything else unfortunately for front loader and pickup truck you know much more than me but I assume that dozer will be probably size of 42006
  18. unfortunately not. when you take calculation based on scales of pinholes on bent liftarm that is used as rear mudguard and wheel/tire combo, you will see that it is wheel racing small with Tire 81,6 X 38 R Baloon. But if Front loader will look like one that jorgeopesi made that would be great.
  19. you can see on Brickshelf images of new suspension parts at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=536914 Brickshelf gallery is by user TheScooterGuy, not mine. Anyway great suspension parts for buggies or trophy truck vehicles...
  20. sorry. I use server os and did not see images on my browser when quoting. Next time I'll just copy/paste text
  21. Hope I'm not to late 42021 B model is a snow bike similar to this http://www.timbersle...nowbikeinfo.htm I agree cargo plane is one must have set, pity that 9396 has typical helicopter rotors that would be ugly on VTOL aircraft made from cargo plane.
  22. just one simple question - is it possible that at the four corners of dog bone instead pin holes are axle holes? arrows are popinting towards corners that I'm thinking about.
  23. best way is to use Wheel/Tire combination from 42000 set. Do not neglect turning radius with Wheel/Tire combination
  24. Thank you, that is what I thought. Portal Axle Hub by Effe with additional modifications is only solution for me to fit inside wheel futuristic.
