Where to buy single LEGO bricks and -elements?
Starwars4J replied to Corran's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Not to hijack this thread, but does anyone know of a good seller that has a variety of bley and dark bley parts at reasonable prices? Preferably in the US, I need a variety of small parts, so it would be cheap, and I'd rather not spend more on shipping than the actual parts... -
Maybe, but this will ruin my whole backstory of my Necromancer's manipulation of a false Death to gain access to an ancient sword :-P
-
Very much so! Thanks! As for the piece...it's nice. it'll be nicer in person, I just hope it doesn't go the way of the viking warhammer. The one thing about the scythe is that it's a very inefficient weapon though
-
A scythe? Where? I didn't see one, but this IS a small screen. could someone post a pic with it circled? Thanks.
-
Sell them where, though? I don't have a BL store, and this packs were such a hit, so many people bought so many, I doubt these will be worth much...unless there's something to make you think otherwise?
-
Hm, the more I see those horses and arms, the less I like them. I really hope this doesn't continue too long since I still love the theme... Quick, someone! Shock me back to how wonderful this theme is!
-
Woo for the pointed visor, but...is that a black jellybean sword I see? :-X Besides that though, absolutely wonderful!
-
I guess I shouldn't list it then <_< -Nikon D80 Camera (if anyone knows anything about these, advice would be appreciated) + 2 lenses and carrying case -10 of each battle pack (most of which I'm returning. nobody needs 10 droid packs, and 10 clone packs on top of the 4 I got was just excessive) -Fountain pen -Crocadile wallet -Glass Sudoku set -Lord of the Rings DVD set

Admiral 4J to Lord *vader* : I'm currently in the Outer Rim. I'm negotiating with a species I was not previously familiar with. They call themselves Chiss, and appear with blue skin, and eyes that seen to glow red. I've also observed nothing but jet black hair. One of their rank is especially interesting to me. I think you might enjoy meeting him. I'll include all information and coordinates in the attachment.

First of all, I need to ask why all the news happens while I'm away :'-( Okay, this line looks like it's gonna be fun. Personally I loved the old skelly design, the loose arms were fine, and well suited to a SKELETON. however the new ones can be just "undead", and have a reason to be stiffer :-P As for those prototypes, I actually made a threat a LONG time ago about the clear fig and horse, asking if anyone knew where I could buy the prototypes (since someone had them). I ended up almost joining NELUG, where the man who took those pictures was a member. These are old, remember, and I doubt we'll see the trans figs (which I want like you have no idea), and I still haven't seen a close up of the horse, but they look similar enough to be related. Again, remember that they are OLD pics, and might be a little different in actual sets. I just hope they maintain their mobility *wub* I also prefer the normal grey shortswords, integrating a new color will ruin my army! Unless for my BlackFalcon faction I can have they use the pearl...ah well. The maces look stiff, I sure hope they're not, they need to be on chain links and not stuck together or I'll be one angry owner of like 50 of them. It's too megabloky. Same for the dragon, absolutely pathetic. It looks too goofy and unrealistic. The old sets all had this charm of realism, even the mythical dragons. They tried to make them look like real animals. Not so much with this. Ah well, I'll just hope for new faces, and buy a bunch of old style skellies on bricklink before the price goes through the roof. They're going in a good direction here. I can only pray the space line does as well.

I use quickedit all the time and have no problems. Unfortunately I cannot vote here, as well...my favorite helms are not grouped into one :-P The flared helm, and the bullet helm (aka archer's helm) both find a use in the same armies. The bullet helm is designed to work better for archers, and considering the open faceplate is a good choice for them. The flared helms are more for footsoldiers, and the famed pointed visor on a plain old round helmet work best for knights. I wish I could choose among them, but they all serve different roles in the same army :-/

Admiral 4J to Lord *vader* : My Lord, we have arrived out of our long journey in Hyperspace and intercepted a Rebel transport. It contained their newest stolen fighters from the Incom Corporation. Why the idiots didn't fly them as opposed to transporting them, we shall never know. Regardless, I have a nice Sithmas Present for you.
-
Admiral 4J to Lord *vader* : My Lord, my TIE bomber squadrons leveled the rebel base on Kashyyyk. Following that, two waves of AT-PTs and AT-RTs took over the base. We captured three high-ranking rebels who told me some valuable information. It will indeed be a Merry Sithmas for the Empire! I also picked up seven hundred wookiee pelts as well. Ah, such good slave labor wasted like that! It's a good thing there are so many more...
-
OOC: :-D Admiral 4J to Lord *vader* : Yes, my Lord. The rebels are fleeing like a bunch of insects. We will find and crush them. Do you need me to pick up a Sithmas tree from Kashyyyk, as long as I'll be in the sector?

Afraid not, due to the nature of the windshield :-/ I'm driving home tonight, so I can take comparison pics for you. No, it's not dirty. I used two pieces of computer paper to add contrast against my couch :-P It's a pretty large fighter, so I couldn't take the pictures in the way I normally do. My couch, however, is brown, which wouldn't show it off too well. ;-) As for the "landing gear", I think that the 1x3 inverted slope on the front is supposed to be the landing gear. Did the original Y-Wing have landing gear? I forget. Also, if I forgot anything in the review, please just ask and I'll try to cover it. I took the pictures at like 2 AM and was exhausted :-P

Set number: 7658 Set Name: Y-Wing Fighter Price: $39.99 Number of pieces: 454 First of all, let me say that I started off hating this set, but I've grown to love this as my favorite 2007 Star Wars set so far. This set is the pinnacle in Lego greebled goodness. First, here's the box: Not much to really say about that. Note it's a 30th anniversary set. Here's the Y-Wing from the front (note the two up front lasers): From Above (note all the greebles! It's even more impressive in person): It's a decent sized ship that feels slow and armored. Here's the rotating ion cannon turret, built via a simple mechanism: Here's where the astromech goes, same as in the previous versions of the Y-wing and X-wing: Look at all the greebs! They work very nicely: Side greebs stuck on via a very simple mechanism: Here's where you can load the bombs: The bottom of the fighter, with the place the bombs fall out. Kept on by a very simple mechanism: With the bomb bay open: Here's the back pin: My original problem was that the door opened sometimes while swooshing. But then I realized that it was part of the mechanism. The bombs only open on their own when the ship is being pulled "up", which is natural for when a bombing occurs. Here are the engines: Cockpit: Look, the pilot sits on white tiles for some reason: Pilot with new gun mold: Here is the parts list: The front of the wing attachment pylon, where the two proton torpedoes shoot out from: And the back, where you use your finger to flick the missile out. It's a stupid idea that really doesn't send it that far (although it can go a decent amount). They stay in the socket under most conditions, but during swooshing they might fall out on their own. Overall, the ideas work nicely, and it's a huge improvement over the older model. It works on many levels, and looks very real. My favorite of the 2007 sets so far. Make sure to pick one of these up! Pieces: 8/10 Figs: 7/10 Playability: 8/10 Swooshability: 9/10 Price: 9/10

Now you just need this :-P
-
A little early, but a wonderful thought none the less ;-) Merry Christmas Athos, may next year bless you with as much creativity as this one has.
-
Sail Barge hands down. The ISD is mainly plates (not all that useful really...), but comes with nice figs. The sail barge is cheaper, and comes with a bunch of nice figs too. It's also very creative and well done. The ISD is just...eh, it feels unfinished.

Er, remember. This isn't a topic to ask for new ones. If you don't like the one you have now, the admins have a tendency to make it worse :-P -
Er, this was a couple of days ago, but... 4 clone battle packs, and some of those bionicle squids (since they look fun). I ordered one of the new bionicle sets to use them, only $10, not bad. Edit: I just found out that my mother ordered 10 clone battle packs and 10 droid batle packs as a little Christmas surprise 8-

Ah! Sorry, I've had finals. Expect reviews up tonight (EST) of both the Y-Wing and the Grievous fighter

Well...at least he contributed to it. Reviving old topics isn't a bad thing. Just discussing the same thing over and over is bad ;-) -
Okay...but way WAY too small.

Check here Pretty close to CC I'd say :-P
