I totally agree with you Gyl, the goal of these fun contests should be to better yourselves and not brag about beeing the best which doesn't say much because I'm sure a lot of voters will vote for the members they like rather than having a totally unbias opinion on the member and focus solely on the MOC itslef (I would love to be proved wrongon that ;-) ) !! Sometimes tiny MOCs are just brilliant !! Having interesting categories would add a little fairness to a freestyle contest ;-) After its all a question f contest and phrasing ;-) I really don't agree with you Sinner because you can always expand a lot a normal 8x8 in all directions and that adds a lot of creativity without beeing a real restriction !! Weight and other parameters for me are no fun restrictions !! Bettering yourself is great, but I way prefer liberty to achieve that goal ;-) *yoda*

Having different categories is one thing, but if I have to watch what I am building due to restrictions, I will never enter it !! I don't mind finishing next to last when there are entries like Gyl and Hinckie in there !! We are definitly not in the same ballpark !! I lovce freedom in building, and if I'm last I don't care !! Without freedom, contests are NO fun, its only competition... A definite no for me on tht issue !! *yoda*

True :-D Except that Eiffel Tower though !! Its big and impressive and very far from beeing MF size !! Its bloody microscaled and still is more than a meter high X-D Like the upcomming Taj Mahal will be microscaled, but that won't prevent it to be impressive ;-) Me too I do hope these sets sell well !! We want that trend to pursue and increase in numbers !! If TLC were to do that UCS cstla, it would be massive and not jiniorized at all !! Thats not the UCS way :-D You are right in term of size !! The wizard is a good wizard, so I would be surprised knowing TLC's ability to reuse parts and figs to see a dumbledore looking like wizard :-D *yoda*

Well actually I was only refering to normal "building" sets ;-) And they are truly in thier lmarket there as building toys !! I don't mind TLC venturing into fun stuff like ice trays and cake moulds and what have you !! I think they're cute and it adds friendliness to a brand IMO. As long as they don't loose any money in the process, I like these products !! And off course I totally agree with you with the expension of UCS sets for nerds oops hardcore AFOL builders with lots of money and display space !! Look SW started the trend, then Batman followed with the UCE, and all that lead to what we know Cafe Corner, Market Street, Eiffel Tower and all the new '08 sets !! So TLD do expand trheir market which is a great IMO !! If the trend continues, we might see a fantastic castle and other 5digits sets from different themes ;-) Amen to that I say !! The more the better !! *yoda*

Great to see that someone is positive on that set ;-) I wouldn't go that far, but I really think its a great looking ship and like the SI, the first pic of it doesn't do him any justice ;-) Purely because the Sith Starfighter is Darth Vader's ship and not Anie's ;-) You have to remember that the Clone Wars series are situated between Ep2 and Ep3 ;-) I am positive like Vader stated that we'll see that great SSF 8-

Tks for that comparison pic Dunamis ;-) OK the box is big !! I pictured it a tad smaller though !! I know what I don't like, its the fact that it has the regular Lego Star Wars logo on top with Vader. UCS sets should have a different iconography like they did in the past. Sure its a trivial detail but it adds to the fact of owning something special !! After all its the most expensive set ever as of now ;-) Happy building !! Oh I could see many many uses of such a wip >:-) X-D Any fans of wonder woman around here ;-) I would be surprised if there was only one whip mold (in the case the whip can't bend). After all Batman has different weapons and SW has 2 new blasaters !! Welcome to EB Tomcat Rio ;-) I think like you that this is a first wave !! I'm sure 2008 will see more of that Castle line ;-) I'm pretty sure we'll see some more dwarves sets !! I wonder if we'll see more skellies !! Now that we have mainly 4 factions: crownies, undead according to BL, Dwarvies and trollies (yeay I know I'm putting orcs and trolls in the same ;-) ), I think in wave 2 TLC has to integrate them all instead of too much expanding on 1 or 2 factions ;-) I am sure we'll see a new chess set with dwarves and orcs, after all they did it with crownies and skellies ;-) Actually I think its quite hilarious tht among the older members (that had Lego during its golden age - 80's !!) only Vader and I seem to really love that line :-D I don't think it looks too MBish (can't say the forbiden word X-D ). I think its really a good integration of Lego modernity mixed with classic accessories toped with a fantadtic fantasy feel !! And I totally agree with your positive attitude ;-) I don't like Bionicle but if that line sells well I am happy for Lego and by extension for us fans !! Good selling lines are alaways a win/win situation wether you like them or not ;-) Without SW and Bionicle, I am sure we wouldn't be here today ;-) *yoda*

Actually are you sure its not the opposite ?? On the second pic the goblin is green with yellow hands (totally wrong !!) whereas on the first pic the goblins are sand green !! It not the firt time Lego does stupid mistakes on the catalog !! I remember that they dut the preliminary Sail Barge and not the real set in |-/ *yoda*
