Exactly !! With the prliminary pics TLC went really far in the norse stereotypes which gave a great feeling of fantasy as well !! What shocked me apart the taking away of beards is that small boat !! If you remember, it was only a small fisherman with a giant squid and net !! And that was such a perfect set !! and they changed that to a way bigger okish boat with shitty dragon >:-( Also I remember that the Midgard serpent really looked more frightening !! Also, the fort was a big lt down asw ell !! The prelim had a water fort with a dock inside !! Oh well, the final product was definitly NOT to standards to the prelim !! This also might be a reason for that line failure !! *yoda*

I dioubt it also BUT the viking line is the perfect example of taking a great line and sets, and releasing something NOT to par with it !! The preliminary set were better in a lot of ways !! Thats why I hope Castle won't suffer that fate !! I really can't imagine a dwarf without a beard :-P After all, for once Lego is producing loads of beards !! You have one in the new Hogwards, one in the skellie attack ship, one on the evil wizard, one in the future impulse set !! I think that TLC is set on bearfd mode X-D *yoda*

Great entry SN !! First you really has some great humour in there !! Run bloody pirates, run !! Forget your cloths and weapons, just run in the water and swim like ther's no tomorrow... Then the fort is really nicely built. It has a yellow castle feel to it which is great for nostalgia. That trans baseplate has really cool uses !! Also as a SW geek its always a pleasant surprise to see a SW torso in a pirate's forum looooool. OK I sense this will be a great and fun contest !! Can't wait to work on my entry !! *yoda*

Great eye Tijn ;-) If you look closely on the attchment of the left (on the pic) "wheel", you see its bvadly attached and you see that there are 4 studs there !!And the shape is clearly one of a disc ;-) Well done, you have solved the Hailfire question hehe !! I was thinking of something way more complicated loool *yoda*

X-D indeed !! The designers were probably asking how to integrate a lot of cool adventurers elements to please older AFOLs I guess :-D At the end of the day it would be interesting to count how many adventurer parts we have in those 4 sets !! Recycle On !! *yoda*

Tks for the heads up SW4J ;-) It was obvious that these pics (especially castle) were preliminary ;-) If you look from past experiences, usually they do not change too much the SW line, and what is happening with Castle was what happened with Vikings if you remember !! Lets hope the finall products are as shown for Indy, I wouldn't want that chrome gold chest and all other goodies taken away for set reduction !! Also will the N1 torso be changed ? I hope not !! And for Castle its good to know that the torso and helmet of those goblins are just preliminary !! BUt I also hope that line will not sufer the Viking fate !! Remember the great beards on the preliminary pics and at the end of the day no beards at all !! Lets hope the dwarves will have their beards !!! To tell you the truth its this kind of post that makes me scared !! *yoda*

True BUT explain to parents that their kids' RC train is stopped !! What will they think ? That the RC system is deficient and will that assumption make them buy something that is probably more expensive ? Very doubtfull IMO !! Look at Playmo for instance !! How long have their RC system been operationl ? and Its still up and running !! *yoda*

Looking at the pics once again that temple pic suffers the K3PO syndrome !! Meaning the Hovito was digitally taken away for some weird reasons !! Look on the side of the box and you'll see 5 shadows for 5 MFs, and in the pic there are only 4 ;-) Indeed those in the entrance of the Temple are some adventurers baby Trexes !! Also I just noticed in the entrance as well a piraka spike in reddish brown 8-

Well excuse me for not beeing a pirate nerd Loooooooool !! And I totally despise the Halloween concept as well hehe. I don't have that much of a pirate collection anyway hehe. But I like that contest and I'm sick of having each time 1/3 puny votes looooool, so I need to better myself building fun MOCs and thats what its all about !! But I have a good idea based on a movie which I really love, so I'll base it on it !! Even in the movie its about pirates !! No its not scooby doo nor SB rofl !! But trust me on the fact that I will use that vivid imagination of mine... *yoda*

I hope for you guys !! After reading that the RC trains are not powerfull enough, I really have doubts about this !! I mean look at how crappy the AT-AT and Dino walk !! And they do talk about the financial burden of the 9v trains, BUT all the 9v trains I bought didn't have the motor and that you could buy seperatly which did not really increase the price of the set !! However with the RC train, we have all plastic tracks which do not look good, + you have really expensive sets !! What other function could the train have ? A noise brick ? I hope its better than the creator one. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but all those power funtions require batteries (unlike the 9v) and batteries do take some room in a train !! One of the huge design flaw IMO od those RC trains ;-) *yoda*

I know what I'm going to do anyway and it won't be very detailed and is not even based on a pirate movie per se !! I haven't really followed all these discussions but my understanding is that TLC decided to "kill" the train by adding these power funtionnal gadgets like they use in that AT-AT and all new designers sets |-/ When I read this I am happy not to be a real 9v fan or I would be extremely pissed off !! *yoda*

I'm sure a lot of you will crucify me but do we need that many dwarves ?? Lets not forget that in the small BP, we'll have 2 goblins and a dwarf !! Personnaly, I sure love that fig from what we can see but I dont need a huge dwarf army !! On the other hand, I would really want a bigger white skellie army !! And Impulse can be a good opportunity to give us exclusive figs !! Like the bishops BTW !! I would much prefer something I need more or that is new !! And lets hope for a city mailman !! I am fed up with all the figs wa already have way too many off (if you catch my drift hehe) !! Diversity On !! *yoda*

Okie here's my entry ;-) Its a tiny and simple ship part of a way igger project I have called Team Odysseus which I really need to get moving !! That small ship can be intergrated to 2 other MOCs I need to finish and post later !! I still don't have a name for it but here is my cute little one seater ;-) So here is a pic of the simplistic cokpit controls and my brave spaceman in it ;-) Enjoy and commentaries are always welcome ;-) *yoda*
