Here;'s a link to the BL announcement. http://alpha.brickli...ge?msgid=878137 "Through this collaboration, the threshold will be lower for MOC production in efforts to increase the number of custom MOCs available for consumers. You will be able to discover new MOCs on CUUSOO collected from all over the Internet and cast a vote for a specific model. Once the number of votes reaches 100, the MOC will be reviewed by BrickLink for commercialization. Alternatively, you can directly upload to MOC Shop if you already have your own creation. Kohei Nishyama, CEO of CUUSOO, stated, “We would like to work on this project to cultivate a new, organic brick community that will last a long time using our legacy and brand.” “I am just happy to serve the LEGO community with our services,” expressed Jay Kim, CEO of BrickLink. The joint project has attracted builders like Masao Hidaka, the builder of LEGO Piano which currently gained more than 9,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. You can visit CUUSOO BRICK at https://cuusoo.com/brands/cuusoo-brick. Please extend our invitation to your family, friends, and other LEGO designers. – CUUSOO + BrickLink Staff" and to the cuusoo page itself https://cuusoo.com/brands/cuusoo-brick It'll be interesting to see how this pans out.

They were the LBG 1x2 Technic Bricks with a cross in the middle. They held the top of the fireman's pole in place in the Fire Station - they have been replaced by a green one and a blue one from my inventory and my MOC continues!
-
I'm trying to avoid placing a BL order for the two remaining pieces that I need for my latest MOC. Now I just need to work out whether I dismantle the Fire Station and grab the two in that set or redesign my MOC so I can omit them altogether.

Welcome to the forums! Whereabouts are you?

Thanks, I'm reorganizing my build room at the moment, but once it's complete I'll reassemble the town and post images. Thanks for pointing that out. I must have been having a blonde moment. Cheers! I'm a few bricks away from posting my next MOC and again it's a motorized Modular one. I'm really enjoying the challenge of finding what to automate and how to make it work.

In my experience the colors with the largest variation in hue have been the yellow - as you indicate dfenz, but also white and reddish brown. To be honest though I appreciate the variations as it makes for more interesting and representative builds for my shabby Lego town.

They're from two sets - the Parisian Restaurant and Mia's Lemonade Stand. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=15396&in=S Oh, and Er0l it's good to see these motorized. I was thinking about your approach. How easy would it be to build this with two overlapping rings so that you could do an intersection?

Super job on the snow. Actually the whole thing is really well done. Good build.

Bricks & Pieces section "I want to buy a piece" won't
eurotrash replied to Prince Manic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Bricklink has three US based stores offering more than 69 1 x 6 Bricks in Orange from $0.14 a piece used and $0.15 a piece new. It's probably your best option. -
I've got two things on the go at the moment. First, I'm trying to squeeze a MOC into a 16-wide baseplate while still having the sidewalk out front - it may have to go diagonally and second, I'm struggling with another gearing issue for the same MOC. I'm thinking of scrapping the gear mechanism I've currently built and hiding it in an adjacent building. Both will be solved within the next few days.

MOC: Commercial Building (Juice Bar 41035 MOD)

I can see this being a very effective MOC next to your beach. It looks good and the color palette you've chosen is growing on me. Thanks for sharing it with us.- 16 replies

You should have seen it before I had the step down gears in place. It was scarily awesome! Thanks for the blog post Kristel. It's very much appreciated. As for the red thing - it's a vending machine, built during much warmer weather and included in this MOC because I couldn't fit the aquarium I had planned in that space. If you think the two minifigs in front of the building are representative of hipsters then clearly Atlanta has way more problems than any of us suspected.... Thanks for all the comments!

Good looking entry. It looks like plenty of thought has gone into the detailing. I particularly like the greebles you've added to the lower edge of the rink and, of course, the statue at the rear.

Nice job! It looks like the perfect piece for a large display. -
Chinese Laundry I've had the idea of this building on the drawing board for some time now, but it wasn't quite right and so it's been built and rebuilt a number of times. Then I decided to make it dynamic and give it some movement by adding power functions. So, here it is; a Chinese Laundry for the Oriental district in my City powered by an M-motor. As usual the facade is showing some wear and tear - there's missing and broken masonry. The red parapet at the roof includes a Lego car hood, but the main attraction is the working mechanicals. That was v1.0. In v2.0 I connected the white steam clouds to the M-motor, but got the gearing backwards and instead of having slowly rotating white zephyrs I got a couple of high speed white Tornadoes of death (it took me ages to find all the pieces again). I'll try again in v3.0 Here's some more details on the facade. The ground floor contains the Laundry itself and steps leading up to the second floor. The laundry includes a double row of washers/dryers, cactus, cash register, ductwork for the dryers, a seriously over the top electrical junction box, storage shelves with supplies, a clothes rack of clean shirts for customers to pick up and a vending machine. [Credit: The washing machines were modded from a design by Eurobricks' vecchiasignoraceppo] Here's the second floor including the mechanicals. It's a M-motor connected to some step down gear, a simple homemade cam, a rocker, and an axle leading out through the wall. Here's a shot of the rear of the building. There's a washing line, seagull, and dumpster. I hope you enjoyed it. As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome! Edit: I corrected the description of the motor to an M-Motor (thanks Mestari !)

There's some really effective techniques in use here and I love the facade - it just looks so right. Well done.... and the rest of the layout looks impressive as well.

Great looking scene with some really effective techniques and the birds are superb!

I'm no Lego Master - more like a Lego Charlatan, but I have built a couple of Lego SNOT Signs - both from within established sets like the Pet Shop and Grand Emporium and in my own MOCs. ( like http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98216 ). If this is the symbol for Dragon... ... it's going to be quite difficult to build it within a small space by using SNOT, perpendicular tiles and plates, clips and bars. What size are you thinking of?
