MOC: Mower
Pat-Ard replied to Pat-Ard's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Oh yes, small motors would be great!!! Or even smaller batterypacks... At the moment I can only fit one motor in... But I think small motors wouldn't have enough power. -

Thanks Tim, I used BL Part# 53992 or 680c01. -
Thanks Alasdair  yes, I know this part, but it's rae and very expensive, as I mentioned above Pat

Thanks Tim for this tip. Is there a way to connect the standard cylinders (BL Part 47224c01)?

Hi folks, used the last days to fit a battery pack an one motor in the chassis - holy c... Too bad, that there's not enough space for two more motors and an IR receiver... Here's a screenshot of the LDD. Have fun. Pat -

MOC: Mower
Pat-Ard replied to Pat-Ard's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks at all for your praise. @Moz: Thanks for your explanation! When I first saw this machine, the operator mowed the steep bank at the highway. He stood several meters in a safe distance from the driveway. And the Mog "just" comes in for transportation. Pat -

Thanks! Hmm, yes, but I don't know if there's enough room for the pump... Let's see... -
Hi there, some days ago I saw an Unimog at the highway. Nearby stood a man with a remotecontrolled mower. This was it, one more piece for the Mog. I search the net a while and found the mower. I started building one prototype to check if it's able to build. After that prototype I made the LDD. And to move this machine it needs a trailer... The scale should fit to the Mog. Here's the prototype: And here are the LDD-screeshots. The housing of the mower is able to fit three motors... So maybe I'll build it with motors... First of all I have to order some parts at BL and I have to destroy 8043... Let's see... I'll add this MOC to the Attechment-thread for the Mog, when it's finished... So far Pat

Yes, a real nice trailer indeed! Unfortunately those cylinder brackets are really rare... and quite expensive, too! Maybe I'll try a large LA and an extra motor an batterypack in the trailer... Let's see... At the moment I design a new "attachment" for my Mog, which needs a trailer, too. But this one is smaller than yours. Pat

Attachments for the Unimog 8110
Pat-Ard replied to Korni's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
and here are my enhancements... The double mower: Here's the LDD: LDD mower The LDD is not the exact version I built, because I first made the LDD and then bulit it real. During building I had to change some things... The trailer: Here's the LDD: LDD trailer The LDD is updated. Only one part isn't in LDD. I colored it in pink. You have to change it for BL part# 57515 in dbg. The pneumatic zylinder an switch isn't show, too. Ah, and by the way... I have an Unimog U20, too. I customized the original model... Shortened the chassis and built an new cab and so on... But sorry, there's no LDD... The picture shows it with the first beta of the trailer. If you have any questions just contact me via pm. Have fun. Thanks Korni for the new thread. Pat -
Need help with gears

Hi there, thanks for your help... I'll check each if it's useable. @Hopey: no, it's not IR controlled... Pat -

Need help with gears
Pat-Ard replied to Pat-Ard's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, thanks for your idea... They have to be inline, because I want to build an allwheel steering, but I want to have the posibillity to change between normal allwheel steering and crabsteering. And to make it all a little harder, there's not really much space... Best would be, if the steering of one axle would be switched off when the transmission ringis in neutral position. Thanks again Pat -
Hi Folks, for my new MOC I need some help of you. I need a gear which could be used for changing the turning direction of an axle. The main axle comes from the left and turns clockwise. In one position of the gear switcher the axle to the right turn clockwise, too. The other postion lets the SAME axle turn counter clockwise. And both axles (left and right) have to be in line! Does anyone have an idea? So far Pat
