Jinnipher watched Vindsval's guardian angel come forth with a grimace. "Hmph. Not bad. Your little fairy better be up to the test." She nodded to Arthur and noted the dragon's weak spot, charging forward with Beheader and striking the Left Rapturewings.

"So thee hath found out about the Etherium. Impressive, heroes. but doth thee realizeth the importance of such a thing? Imagineth, streets lined with the mineral, blocking all charms and magicks. Tis a wonder Zylstra hast experienced such supernatural foes without it being discovered." Ezeran notes the squadron of alchemists surrounding the encampment. "Misprise hast nothing to doth with it, mage. We art simply doing what is best for Olegaia." She gave a look of disgust to the symbiont, as far as Ezeran could tell through her white mask. "I believeth not in accidents, child. We were hath led to the gnomish mistress's home by her knave. The boy is quite clever for his age and hath built monstrosities to roam Eubric's streets. During our investigation we hath found yond the automatons hath used the mythical mineral to disable magicks. Of course we hath followed his movements and discovered yond his mother wast delivering loads of the thing to the boy from Zylstra. At which hour the lady wouldst not coop'rate, well... t'wast only a matter of timeth before we hath found what we were looking for." The Cardinal examined the party as her alchemists continued to spread. The imps looked on helplessly, but on the defensive. "And anon behold at what hast becometh. Thy interference hast disrupted our op'ration, and I am afraid I can alloweth nay further complications. Zylstra shall burneth and the imps 'long with it. The Eth'rium mine shall beest ours and our vision for Olegaia shall at lasteth beest did realize. Prepareth heroes, for the beginning of a new world is near." The alchemists began pouring out a liquid in a circle around the imp settlement and lighting it. A ring of fire quickly surrounded the heroes and imps, as well as the Crimson Crown. The heroes would have to act quickly before the alchemists approached! QM Note: The battle will be up soon (today or tomorrow), you have a bit of time to prepare. -
OOC: Did you roll for Enamored? Jinnipher repeats her attacks with a will.

"Let me at least put these gloves to use and get some gold out of this, heheh..." Hybros swings the Sword of Ancestral Hatred and Iustitia at Aim twice, in the front row. -

QM Note: Sorry for the delay again guys. I'll try my best to finish strong. "Very well, then we will trust your judgement on this, heroes. The woman has not seemed trustworthy from the start, and I sense ulterior motives at play here. If you are all ready, we will present the case to the Baron. Recall all of the evidence you have found and prepare to share it." The party readied their gear and prepared to head back into town, but a voice called out in opposition. The Cardinal stood in the way. "I am afraid I cannot alloweth thee to doth that. Heroes, imps." "And just why is that, human?" Nahzka's layered voice hardened. Sigil and Tyrfrix appeared behind her. The Cardinal made a sound resembling a laugh. "Thee already knoweth we cannot alloweth creatures from Azazot to roam beneath Eubric, but most importantly we shall not alloweth our... operation faileth." A multitude of Crimson Crown members appeared behind The Cardinal, moving in to surround the imp settlement. "Tell me, do you even have an inkling of the importance of this place?" -
"My fate has always been my own." Jinnipher strikes the tail from the back row with the Brine Blade.

Hybros gives Namyrra a nod and trades his Phoenix Emblem for the Overkill Gloves and equips them in place of his Sterile Gloves. -
I remember talking about that a long time ago, I think the verdict was that people are so used to the element system we already have. Pep M had some good ideas, I'll try to find them at some point.

Hybros drinks the Nostrum from his Hollow Dagger and uses it to attack Ronove along with Iustitia at Bifrons in the front row. If successful, he switches targets with the same weapons. If not he repeats. -
"It's far to late to let this all go by the wayside. Let's finish this." Jinnipher drew Beheader and pointed it at Immortalis. "Did you predict this, o mighty dragon?"

Hybros sips a Mulled Wine and nods to indicate that he is ready. "Lead the way, Aunt Briamarte. I am certain your powers will be most useful, both for healing and battling back these demons." OOC: May we see her stats? -

Before Sigil could reply, Nahzka appeared behind the heroes without warning. She spoke with her striking yet hypnotic layered voice. "I see. We suspected something like this would happen. There are ulterior motives at play here, although we imps are still very much wrapped up in this. Heroes, you have completed this investigation and it is you that know the clues and details best. Thus it is up to you to determine who is most likely the master behind the recent events. If you believe you have gathered enough evidence, state your primary suspect. We will proceed from there." -
I don't think I've posted about the last few titles, but the most recent is Shroom Eating Cultist - Magical fungi have taught me to worship a Rubix Cube.

The heroes return to the imp settlement, where Sigil greets them alone. "Heroes. What news have you?" -
Jinnipher took a swig and held out the flask to the person next to her. She realized it was Lind and yanked it away to give it to Thormanil. She also dropped the Fenghuang Incense, letting the electric blue smoke surrounding the party. "Let's do this." She held the pommel of Beheader firmly.

Hybros nodded. "It would be the right thing to do. Besides, we may draw out our foes into attacking us. We may learn more about them or catch them off-guard." He gave one last look at the infant. Such a curious creature. He remembered inspecting Ellaria's own child when she brought it into the hall. He wondered where that child could be now. Hopefully not eaten by demons. -

Hybros grimaced. "We brought your child back, and as soon as you have taken it we will return to the castle to continue to fight demons. Please do not make us fight you as well." He nodded at the weapons. -
Jinnipher sheathed her blade and tucked a strand of hair behind her pointed ear. "If the sword didn't kill him the poison will soon enough. Kill him or let him rot, this'll all be over soon." She raised an eyebrow. "Going to frame all those feathers you've been collecting or what?" "Don't you have enough swords?" Jinnipher watched the exchange silently, giving Gabriel a small nod once Masson wasn't looking.

Vinum grunted. "Don't know much other than what the other folks in here already told ya. You'd better not be causing trouble in there." Rollo picked off a piece and examined it with interest, his expression quickly turning to amazement. "Unless this is some kind of trick, this... this is Etherium! A mythical mineral that's talked about by miners. I didn't believe it even existed." His expression again turned to suspicion. "You found this at the dig site? Along with the direwolves? Whoever those belonged to knows the value of this mineral. You see, it can dampen and even completely block magical spells and charms if in direct contact with the source. You can imagine why some would want to avoid such things." He gave Ezeran and his symbiont a glance. "Aren't you the detectives here? Figure it out!" The rockling chugged his drink. "..." "Er... like I said earlier, he don't talk much, by choice rather than threat." -
"He seems occupied with admiring my hair. Like I said, I've got him where I want him."
-
"Hell no. I've got this bastard right where I want him." Jinnipher repeats.

The crowd was the same, consisting of Vinum the bartender, Rollo the digger, Melvin and Thimlin the sailor dwarves, and Rodney the rockling. Thimlin gave a hard stare at Goliath. "..." "Uh, direwolves?" Rodney looked a little scared. "Zylstra's no place for direwolves. I haven't seen any, but they must have been brought down here by someone. And I doubt that someone has the town's safety in mind!" Rollo approached the table from his stool at the bar, frowning. "Like I said earlier, I haven't gone near that place, especially since those sounds started happening. Let me guess, those were coming from your mystery direwolves?" The dwarf shook his head. "Something fishy is going on here. Tell me, heroes, did you find anything else at the dig site?" Rollo watched carefully through his spectacles, clearly suspicious of the heroes. -

Zoot's Reaper continued to buzz as it had since the heroes arrived in Goetia. Its messages that were usually whispered in Hybros' ear were totally unclear. "Heh, then maybe you and the monk can get along, though I am no stranger to being called a demon. This Brahne, do you have any idea where she is now? And what kind of power she wields that would make someone jealous enough to do something... something like this?" The imp gestured around the room. Hybros flashed his own teeth in a grin by pulling down his kerchief. "Heh, that is quite the condition. The teeth are not so bad once you are able to hide them I imagine... heheh." "Well then, we must continue with our mission. I... agree with the Monk. The human child will only be put in danger's way with us, it is much safer in the temple guarded by the enchantment. We can sneak back here and hopefully help Catnip without Solomon knowing our next move."
