  1. I've got family and freinds living in Forida and Texas. I wish everyone there safety for their families!
  2. Hm, I still hope we get it in the US. It looks great! If not, I'll snag the City one. By the way, does anyone know if these are S@H exclusives? Sorry if I seem noobish about this...
  3. Hold on, folks, let's keep MacK for a bit. At least until we find the machine. Also, I think another amendment to the rules is necessary. I don't want to go ahead with this unless you guys want to, but I'm thinking of letting anyone join at any time. All in favor? If this does come to be true, should we let them take over any non-player character (that's not a major one), such as Jaimedodger714 taking over Rex? Or should they make their own entrance? "Alright, has everyone gotten what they need?" Butcher asked the group. "Okay, captain, land over there by the frigate. Easy 501, I suggest you come with us. The rest of your troops should remain as backup. Too many troops are more likely to set off the alarm." "So, where is this place, exactly?" asked MacK. "That's what Adam is going reveal..." Jim replied. "Well...?"
  4. Ah, thanks.... I can guess what the other possibility is though...
  5. Hmm, bringing another Sith into the SW universe is a little big... let's just stick with Grievous, alright? By the way, my character isn't that stupid, I just don't want to get backup because their's not enough time. Okay, rearm and resuit in the ship, then all of us are going into MacK's shuttle, while the clones go in the RGS. Aw, it's a shame to have you leave MacK... You'll die with glory... Also, let's kill off Vader's son, he hasn't posted here in months.
  6. Yugioh... I'll save the amazon pic to my FlickR. Sorry, I don't have the older version... Done! I'll send you a PM.
  7. Yes, that's what the title says...
  8. Relax, guys, LuxorV seems to be taking a break. Let him rest for now, maybe another decal maker will arise.
  9. 7662: MTT Number of Pieces: 1330 Number of Minifigs: 20 Price: 99.99 USD/ /79.99 GBP Theme: Star Wars: Episode I Year Released: 2007 Brickset Folder Bricklink Catalog Welcome to my review of the awesome new version of the MTT tank! I hope if at first glance, this set looks good to you, by the end of this review, you'll want to go out and buy it right away. The MTT was used as a troop transport by the Trade Federation up until episode III, when they were shut down. These hover-crafts are gigantic in size and powerful in strength, although very slow. The box The standard style of box art for Star Wars sets at the time. Note the sticker that says "Includes 20 minifigures!". Yes, the sticker does not lie, and I think this is the most minifigs we've ever gotten in a SW set besides the new Death Star. Overview This set is huge! The MTT alone makes for a great set, but the extras make it a super-sweet deal. The extras include 20 minifigures, a small hover transport, and a Droidika. You get quite a lot for only 100 dollars. MTT This chunky monster is mostly all brown, with a little bit of bley and trans-orange thrown in, as well as some black. It has many doors: a total of eleven, and is shaped like a "P" laying on it's back. With two huge laser cannon emplacements and a clever troop deployment system, this tank is one to be feared. Front Out of all of the angles, this one makes for the most imposing view of the MTT. The two flaps (or doors) open up. What do they open up? All to be revealed later, my friend. Also note the rotating ball system that is used for the cannon emplacements. Bird's-eye view A view from above. Note how smooth and sleek the top is, as well as all of the greebling. Back The rear part of the tank. Can you spot three doors? Again, note all of the greebling that is included all over the exterior, which offers lots of detail. Inside This is a pic of the inside of the back part. Here you can see the where the small transport is stored, some control panels, and a look at some sort of gear system. Cockpit This is the cockpit. Not very detailed, but that's made up for in the amount of space. I know it's hard to see in this pic, but it contains a chair for the pilot, a control panel, and secret to be revealed, all in good time. Bird's-eye view Here is a better shot. The top slides open, as well as two side doors. But the only way down is to jump! Hatch In the back of the cockpit lies a small emergency escape hatch, in case the pilot can't get out the other ways. You might be thinking that it's a little ridiculous to put so much safety concern into one little battle droid. But these aren't just any battle droids; they're very valuable pilot droids, which take much more programing and time to make. Inside Front The two side doors on the front open up to reveal the large interior. Here, you see a cool weapons storage rack, and some kind of shelf... I wonder what it is? Deployment Rack Ah, it's the droid deployment rack where all of the battle droids are stored! Just turn this knob... Knob ...to activate the gears, which push out the rack... Deployment ...an Viola! the shelf slides out. This sytem is very smooth and easy, just turn the knob and the rack will slide out. The doors will be pushed open automatically. Just make sure when you roll it back in, put the bottom door up first. This is the main play function of the set, and it works really well. The two shelf's can come off easily (you'll see how this works in a minute), and can fit eight battle droids on each shelf. Deployment (cont'd) The battle droids fold up and sit on the shelf like this. They fit snugly, and their guns are stored on the weapons rack. Weapons Rack Here is the weapons rack (the jumper pieces are supposed to be all bley, but I'm using some for something else currently). The pistols just fit in the little holes, and then it fits well in proper place within the MTT. The rack can hold a total of sixteen guns; just enough for all of the stored battle droids. Underbelly Here is what the underbelly of the craft looks like. Although in the movie, the MTT is portrayed as a hovercraft, TLG gave this wheels. Not that I'm complaining, of course, the wheels work perfectly! Small transport Here is the transport, which carries a platform that holds a communications dish and two blaster rifles. I must say that this is a good design, and the inclusion of two extra blaster rifles was very kind of TLG. Attachment system Here is the attachment system that was mentioned before. It is a simple, yet clever way of easily placing and removing the platforms. Four studs or placed on the bottom of the plate, and they make it secure, yet easy to remove. There are several different things that can go onto the transport, which you'll see now. Transport Modes The transport can also have the pilot seat as cargo, in case the pilot is needed elsewhere. Or the gun rack, if some troops need a weapons drop off. Or perhaps some troops need a lift? Droidika Here is another extra of the set. It is way oversized compared to the movie versions, but I can't say that it's inaccurate. It has a very clever design, especially with the feet. Side Here you can see how the arms are attached, by an Exo-Force robot arm, two Agents pistols, and a binoculars piece. Minifigures Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for: the figs! There is a grand total of 20 figs! That's the most we've gotten in a SW set besides the new DS, which is very impressive. It includes 16 regular battle droids, with the new twisted arms and guns, 2 blue pilot droids (and the works), and two new dark red security droids, with the works. The security ones are especially nice, and the solid dark red is way better than just the markings on the original security droids. You couldn't have really asked for more in this set, and so many figs make this set extra-sweet. Although an additional yellow commander would have been the icing on the cake. Well, that sums it up, it's time for the... FINAL VERDICT: Build: 7/10, to be honest, I really thought building the MTT itself was quite boring, although the pace picks up later. Playability: 9/10, This set was basically designed for playability, as you can roll the tank around, change the transport modes, and deploy the figs. Very fun! Swooshability: N/A Minifigs: 9.5/10, you couldn't ask for more, except maybe a commander. Figs are all great. Design: 10/10, really clever design on this one, and the variety of smooth and sleekness goes well with the greebling. Price:10/10, easily a full score on this one. Normally, considering the price-per-part ratio, this would be 130 USD, but it's only 100 . Overall Score: 9.1, an excellent set. You get a huge tank, a great transport, 20 great figs, and a clever droidika all for only $100. I highly recommend this to any Lego fan, as it is great for parts as well. That's all for now folks, I hope this review was convincing. Thanks!
  10. Amazing! It's perfect to the movie, and the paintwork on the cockpit is spectacular! Now this is what I want for the Order 66 series in Lego (Plo Koon's version), but maybe replace the booster ring with an ARC-170.
  11. Exactly. Jim miscalculated his landing by a little bit. He meant to land right in front of the base doors, but instead ended up on top of it. Unfortunately, the "snow" was actually just a thin layer covering solid ice. He landed heavily on it, and screamed in pain. He had gotten shot, right in a weak spot between his leg and thigh armor, and was bleeding. He turned off the jetpack, and rolled off of the roof of the base. He landed facedown in the snow a few yards in front of a group of figures. Oh, not more droids... he dreaded. "It's the Commander!" he heard someone say. "Quick, get him inside!" said another voice. "Get everyone inside. Admiral, order all remaining troops to fall-back into the base, and get the injured into medic capsules and bring them inside" said yet another. "Yes, sir". Butcher looked up slowly and mumbled something. Two familiar faces were looking at him with concern. "Is he hurt?" "I don't know..." Jim was losing consciousness. The stray laser bolt hit him in the hip by chance, and he might have broken a few bones landing on the ice. "Aaaaagghhh!" he cried suddenly. "Hip... shot... help me up..." Thok and MacK took his arms and lifted him up. "Can you walk?" Thok asked. "Yeah" "Alright, let's get inside". *** It was about an hour after the previous events. Butcher just got out of the bacta tank, and now he was mostly back to health. He walked with a slight limp. "Better?" asked Oky Wan. "Yeah..." "What happened?" Oky asked. "And make it quick, we have to get out of here" added someone who Butcher didn't know. "I'm Wouwie, by the way. The droids and mutants are blowing the whole place up." "Do you have escape tunnels?" Jim asked. "Yes, but there are only a few left. The rest are caved in." "How about transport?" "One Gunship. That's all." He didn't mention the AT-AT, but Jim didn't care much for that. "Alright, let's go". "Wait! When are you going to tell us what happened?" asked Oky Wan "Please, not now, I'll tell you when we're in the air. It won't be long before they collapse this whole place. Or discover the ship." Jim answered "Alright..." Oky Wan said reluctantly. They started running through the narrow tunnels that provided an escape route for the team and the remaining reinforcements, which weren't much. About 50 troops, mechanics, and other military personnel remained. Several times, they had to change directions because of the sudden cave-in's. After reaching the Republic Gunship, they flew off. It was a very narrow escape; the group watched as the base crumbled mere minutes after they took off. "Okay, now tell us what happened" insisted Oky Wan. "Alright, here it goes. I simply used a jetpack and a cloaking device to fly overhead and drop small mines all over the droids and mutants. They wouldn't expect an aerial attack. Unfortunately, a stray bullet hit me as I was about to land" Butcher answered. "Why didn't you tell us?" Adam asked. "You guys would have never went with it" he said simply. "Now, let's get to MacK's ship". Oky Wan sighed. Always on the move he thought. "Then what?" asked Thok. "Then Adam has some more explaining to do, classified or not. I am part of the RSS (Republic Secret Service), so I should know.
  12. Excellent! I hope you never destroy this one, because it is very cool. The whole thing is very accurate, and the trans-blue plates were a nice touch. I look forward to seeing future versions of this wonderful MOC.
  13. Ah, yes, that was it, thank you. Expect to see some of the sunglasses heads and black suits to be missing (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
  14. Very good battlefield! I love how the victor of the battle sets up their weapons right away, and camps out there. The blades and missiles are great. The whole thing is kind of scary, and I can see this being in an Apocalypse based movie. Very good story-telling techniques, and the mech is great! I also like the uniqueness in your weapons. This reminds me a bit of Timeshift (a game). The only thing that you could work on is your pics= they are a bit blurry. Aside from that, excellent work, and I look forward to your battle this weekend.
  15. Useful post, ON! (I hope...) The AT-At was huge. It was something Butcher never encountered before. It looked like the Turbo Tank model, but with legs instead of wheels. Why would they do that? he thought. One thing was for sure: he was not getting into that thing. The commander solely preferred his own two feet over any vehicle, even his own starfighter. Besides, the thing was way to slow, and it would be vulnerable to interior explosions. "Alright, let's go. The plan is simple: get to Easy 501 and his troops, and destroy everything in your path. Oh, and don't die." "Wait! We can't just barge through, we'll all get killed!" insisted Oky Wan. "Not if I can help it" replied Butcher. "Besides, this is something they won't expect". This guy is crazy thought Oky Wan with distaste. Butcher saw the look in Kenobi's eyes. "Trust me, this will work. Now, let's move. MacK, do you still have that signal?" "Yeah, they're right across the battle field, pinned down in a cave", he replied. "Good. Everyone, stay under the walker." The team headed out from the small bunker. Their were about three hundred battle droids advancing on 501. Butcher and the team were attacking from behind, so they had a chance of surprising the CIS. They got about three quarters of the way to the droids before they were noticed. "Uhh, Jim, they've spotted us!" said MacK. But there was no response. "Butcher...?" He couldn't have gotten shot already, and his body was nowhere in sight. "Guys, where's Butcher?!" MacK yelled. No one knew. We're dead! he thought. The group started firing randomly at any battle droid in sight. The AT-AT was providing some help, but it was still hopeless. The droids were closing in. In less than a minute, they would all be dead. Then it happened. First it started with a close by MTT, then a whole column of vehicles and battle droids. They all suddenly went up in flames, and left a path for the group to proceed. So Butcher did have a plan Oky Wan thought. How he did it and where he was would be answered once they got out of this frozen warzone and into the base. Whew, that took a while! KimT, thanks for changing the title, and please don't worry about accidentally changing it!
  16. I second that. You guys are acting like McDonalds is the end of the world or something. Yeah, :hmpf_bad:these are crap, but I guess I didn't really expect Lego.
  17. Looks like we have a new joiner in the "Making fun of other's mistakes on their expense" scoreboard! Hinckley: 2 Shadows: 1 Erdbeereis: 1 Butcher: 0 ...Anyways, I think Shoc and Sandy said it. Smileys are okay, it's just that variety is better. By the way, Calvin, what "alternate" smilies are you talking about?
  18. I don't know what the shop name is, but the seller's name is Zoe, and I just made my first BL order from her. So far, I have gotten free insurance on my order, plus a bonus minifigure! Let's just see how this plays out, but so far I am very satisfied!
  19. Nah, I bet he just set the time zone a couple hours ahead. That's what I did once or twice. But Happy B-day Lord Thrawn! Eat lots of cake!
  20. You shoulda thought of that when you making the chamber! We need that "Make a scene from your favorite Movie" contest. NOW!! But seriously, we do.
  21. Very nice, now I know what you needed those different colored hands for! Which reminds me, I'm making my first BL order today to get some of those different colored hands/ heads. These remind me of my Element series. Whoops! Let the cat out of the bag! And what are you talking about with the chrome silver 2x4? I see it right in these pictures!
  22. Oky Wan, this is not the time to take a nap! You mean passed out, right? Also, what "Game" mystery do you speak of? EDIT: Oh I just noticed the title change... how strange... I certainly didn't ask for it to be changed, did any of you guys? I'll ask KimT about it...
  23. The new age look means more work for you, so I voted that one. But seriously, just look at my response in the topic like this for the History/ Adventure index. EDIT: I just saw your Castle index, great job! I would like to see the "Need Review" tags on this one too! If you want to, that is.
  24. It's not that some people (me included) just outright hate them, on the contrary, I'd fork out some money for a small set. And remember, these are PRELIMINARY, so people's opinions on the final versions may be different than the are now.
  25. Yet, I still think it is very minor. If anyone seriously believes this to be their favorite, I will arrange something, but it's kind of late now. Not that I think it is a bad theme, however.
