OFF-TOPIC GAME INFO Well done to everyone who has played so far! We've reached the 400th question so I decided to change the rules slightly. Here they are: The questions are now going to be category-related. The categories are: Characters/Creatures & Species/Droids/Vehicles/Weapons & Technology/Locations/Organizations/Miscellaneous (Language-Force-Food-Music-LEGO-Others) When you submit and answer, I will reply telling you whether you get the point(s) or not. If you got the question right, you must send another PM telling me which category you'd like the next question to be. This can help to give you an advantage over other players, if you are good at the category you pick. The same category cannot be chosen twice in a row, by any player(s). Also, every member is allowed to answer every question. The player who answers correctly has 10 minutes from the time I send the reply to choose a category before a random question is picked. I'll begin now with a random question and we'll go from there. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me. So, once again, let battle commence!

He's new, so he can't use the PM system. When you're in the 'I'm new!' group you can't send or receive PMs to prevent spamming. That's what he means.

I really like the droid. It looks perfectly-suited to its job as a barman. I think the bar seems to be lacking some detail. For example, you could use some SNOT techniques and maybe put a picture (if you have any) on the wall. I know that the idea is it's all grey and boring like the Empire, but I think it would look better for the purposes of a MOC. Just some hints I think could improve it.
-
Nice MOC and funny backstory. A picture of the bar without any troopers in would be nice, as well as one of the droid on its own.

I'm not new. I've been here longer than you! Back on topic! I love the pirate tank and Home One sets! The figs in both are amazing but I'm still on the fence about whether to buy them. The pirate tank, as well-designed and accurate as it is, is completely unrelated to anything else in my collection. There are only two figs so it would be easy to buy them from Bricklink, but then there's not much point having them without the tank! Home One has a lot of playability but will be too expensive for me to buy in addition to the CIS Shuttle, Tank droid, Hoth base and Battle of Endor sets. I might just buy the Ackbar fig from Bricklink and give this set a pass. I already have an A-Wing as well.
-
Technically, the 'two pirates' are Hondo Ohnaka and Turk Falso, not just generic Weequays.
-
I know. I was just trying to point it out to JimButcher. I'm sorry.
-
I agree with you about the jetpacks. Admit defeat! New moulds and printing would not be unnecessary and are extremely likely to be included in the set. Sometimes, TLG adds loosely-related main characters in sets allowing collectors to own the figs. Hondo Ohnaka was included in this, probably because there aren't going to be any more Florrum-based sets and they wanted to include main characters in this one set. On the other hand, TLG also throws in completely irrelevant characters such as Commander Fox in the Homing Spider Droid and Palpatine in the Venator-class Star Destroyer. It isn't spam, it's discussion, which I thought this thread was for. Surely the news thread is for new information? What are we supposed to 'discuss' here then?
-
What do you mean? Why would they show it as having exterior printed pieces if the final model was not going to feature them? Also, we've pretty much established that it won't have an interior, so I doubt there'll be any 'control panel' pieces.
-
I doubt it. Either way, you're agreeing the tank will feature printed pieces, regardless of whether the designs are preliminary or not.
-
And now, by request, some of my own designs: Added Bacara Added Galactic Marines Please leave comments about these telling me what you think and how they could be improved. This will help me to get an idea about how good my own designs are. They are loosely based on their phase-two armour designs (coming soon ).
-
Now that could be a good set, but probably too expensive for me. It's a bit of an awkward shape but I'm sure TLG could pull it off!
-
I think even you, KimT, will agree that existing playsets like the Mos Eisley Cantina can be improved A LOT. When sets like the Market Village and others have been released recently, there is hope for redesigned SW buildings. I don't think the X-Wing needs to be changed, though.
-
Maybe so, but the one you referred to was clearly older, ie. more preliminary. I mean, why would TLG make a preliminary box design with printed pieces and then get rid of them?
-
Although I'm not a big sports fan, I officially stand as a Liverpool FC fan in football and a Saints rugby fan. Both are local teams that most of my family and friends support. Obviously, in international events, I support ENGLAND!
-
What is wrong with the existing ARC-170? I'm not sure if they can update the X-Wing much, but new, grey TIE Fighters wouldn't be too bad. btw. This is a TIE Mauler: That was a TIE Crawler, which has already been released. Again, neither are my cup of tea, but I'm sure there are many EU fans that would love them.
-
I wouldn't. I'm not a big fan of the EU at all. The playsets would be fantastic, though! Yes. That is the X-Wing I bought. With hindsight, I'd rather have the 2007 version with better figs. Yoda's hut isn't anything amazing.

I would have liked him to, or at least a normal clone. However, in the article it mentions the tank is from 'Dooku Captured', neither Jar Jar or the clones were featured in that episode (I don't think ) so I doubt it was never ever planned that we'd see them in the set. I agree about the looks:
-
Again, the Tank Droid does have printed pieces. That's a preliminary box design. I'd like Jar Jar in the set instead of Obi-Wan. It's not so much that I like Jar Jar (I don't at all!), it's just that he's an important character in that scene and he'd fit well into most peoples' fig collections. I hope the Pirate Tank is no more than
-
I agree with that! I'd buy several of them. There were five in the cantina, actually. Ah, you mean retail droids? I'd rather have basic droids and clones to build up my armies. The retail droids didn't seem to be much use and are a bit of an ugly design. I suppose I wouldn't complain if I got one, though! But not everyone wants an army of Grees. The set sounds like a good one and I'd also buy multiples of this version. That was TC-70, Jabba's protocol droid during the Clone Wars.

Which Clone Era is your favourite & why?

I thought so. Battlefront games normally aren't anything to go by for canon material (as great as they are! ). BF2 stated that 'clone commanders' were members of the 21st Nova Corps who carried chainguns! -
Just found some more easy ones. Added Barr Added Galle Added Inc

Where did you get that info from? Sergeant Fox was a member of the 501st Legion present on Coruscant during the Great Jedi Purge. Either way, neither of those troops are 'sharpshooters'. I doubt he would mean those when he said they were "dark red". The only way I could imagine you thought he meant them would be because they were 'sharpshooters' in Battlefront II, which was incorrect as they are paratroopers of the 212th Attack Battalion. The sharpshooters in Battlefront I were just clone captains, so he may have been confused between the red armour. The only person who can clear this up is Booger540. -

Do you mean the Coruscant Guard?
