I have some parts that I am trying to find on bricklink, is there anywhere on eurobricks that can tell me what there official names are called so I can find them on bricklink?.

Thanks for the comments guys, this is the 1st technic set that I have changed from the original one and am pleased with how it came out. Foggy, I didn't have any more diffs so the other 2 axles are just axles joined together but they work fine enough for me. Alasdiar Ryan, I noticed it was too long after I took the photos, and had since changed it to the length where the red line is. The drawbar is also too fraile, and bends, I might have look at maybe making a 2 layer one for added strength?. Also the drawbar can slide inside the trailer to adjust the length a little bit. I might look at putting guards on it soon, but ran out of parts. Erik Leppen, I don't think there is much to those trailers anyway. It looks like a block because I had to make it strong, and that is the only way I could think to do it. The red chassis is how it came out of the box. I wouldn't have enough parts to change the colour of it anyway.

log truck Foggy, I wasn't trying to make it like a real one, but loosely base it on the tri drive one in the 1st picture in the link. The more wheels and axles the better for me. The crane was how I wanted it.

I know everyone's probably over it already, but I recently received the 9397 log truck. As I built it I changed it to my liking and now I am really happy with it. It has the front bumper from the 8285 tow truck, polished rims, new guards and filled in the bonnet, polished front grill, foot steps, modified crane, extra axle, dual wheels and rear guards. Also made a 3 axle trailer with dual wheels. Let me know what you think.

I think that they need to build some different construction vehicles and different vehicles, there have been a few different versions of cranes, bulldozers, excavators, tractors, motorbikes, trucks, tow trucks, helicopters, loaders, backhoes, planes etc. Time for something new. Maybe a line of emergency vehicles, police car, fire truck, ambulance, maybe a SWAT personel carrier or something like that. 1 question, why has lego never really done army stuff like tanks, personel carriers, jets etc?.

Or maybe a airport fire truck like a Oshkosh.

I personally want them to do a new 3 axle fire engine with power funtions for a working ladder and maybe able to pump water through it. Or a army tank with a power funtions turret and make it RC. And a police car. Also want them to invent some sort of flashing lights for construction vehicles that you can hook up to a battery box, just my thoughts.

I have just finished putting together the 8421 Mobile Crane truck and have had a few problems. You have to start the motor alittle bit to engage the clutch to change functions, there is alot of play in the switch, you can turn it right over and it doesn't engage. Also does anyone have any fixes for the ram problem with the arm dropping???. Apart from that everything works sweet and I am very happy with this set it is awesome.

Does anyone know what you call the new tracks on bricklink?, can't seem to find them.

I have recently brought one off bricklink from Belgium MSIB to New Zealand was about $300 euros, it was the cheapest new one on bricklink. Will be building it soon. But the euro to nz dollar is nearly twice the price so I wont be buying anything from those places anymore, stick to somewhere closer. I have heard alot of people saying that it needs more boat weights in the back is this true?, might have to buy me some more weights. Has anyone got a photo with new tracks on one?, might end up changing to new tracks aswell.

I have got a 8041 Race Truck, but I am looking for some ideas to modify it to make it look better. Has anyone modified this truck to make it different or look better or even RC it?.

Any info or pictures of the 9393 Tractor yet?, there is nothing on brickset.

Davidmull can you please put up some pics of what you mean and how it can be fixed. I thought about putting a trailer on the back to sit the arm on and putting a compressor function in the trailer to help with the weight of the arm. Like in the pic:

I have recently purchased a 2nd hand 8421 Mobile Crane for a good price with the box which is very hard to get in New Zealand and was wondering if anyone had done a review on it?. A few sites have said that this is the best technic set ever made, what makes this set so good. I have got the 8053 and 8431 crane trucks but what sets this apart from those ones. Also anyone had any problems with it?.

Success!!! I had a brand new 8288 Lego crawler crane turn up on thursday from Belgium thanks to Bricklink. Cost me an arm and a leg but it was worth it, especially since it was brand new in mint condition. Does anyone know how many of these are in NZ?.

Rodeown are you able to widen the front wheels to the same with as the dual rear wheels?.

Does anyone know when the new technic sets especially the 9397 logging truck will be available in NZ?.

Yeah or something that just folds up like a PALFINGER crane that still has the grab attached to it. Using 2 LA's. Basically same style as the 8258 crane truck but is simpler that can be used with the logging truck functions. Space won't be an issue as the logging truck will be turned into a semi.

You have got some nice ideas efferman . I would like to do a fold up crane like the 1st pics that you have in the 1st post for the new logging truck. Something that would have the same reach as the original one on the logging truck but can fold up like the 8258 crane truck.

Now that brickshelf is working I thought I would put up some pics of the new bonnet I made for it. Next job is a centre twist using the new mini turntable. Please tell me what you think.

Is this around the same size as the 8285 tow truck?, only a 4cyl! shame it didn't have a straight 6 or v6 like the tow truck. Truck wise does everyone like this or the tow truck better?.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the new mini turntable?.
