  1. Just got the 7674 V-19 off ebay for £23 inc p&p, used, and no box, but I'd only be building and displaying it anyways :P
  2. I am afraid it is simply a misprint. The black has been printed off-center, albeit on both occasions. On the left one, it is printed too far north, the give-away being the clear bleeding of the black line for the center of the lips, as well as the lower eyeliner showing white where it is supposed to not overlap the black, but join as a continuous white>black line, however the white sits underneath. Due to this, the upper eyeliner is also too high, giving a smaller image of an eyelid. The head on the right, the black has been printed too far south, as well as a little too much (talking a few hundred microns xD) to the left. This is noticeable because on the left black lip line, there is orange between the edge of the blue lip edge and the black lip center edge, as well as the fact you can just make out the center black lip line on the right actually stops just before the edge of the blue. Leading on to the eyes; are clearly too low on the black because of the orange running between the black lower eyeliner, and the whites of her eyes. However, from the looks of it, the printing of the black on the left head, is the thickness of how it is supposed to be, whereas the left one is slightly too thin and you can see the holes where the printing has not adhered... Anyhoos, I'm going far too nerdy now xD I hope this puts rest to anybody getting hopes up that there are 2 separate prints *edit* talking from experience of being a printer
  3. Oh my gawd! I've just seen that Sith Fury class Interceptor... Must.... Have..... DAM this SW Lego addiction
  4. Just seems farrrr too much money for getting something so little. Take the recent most Tie fighter. You get 413 pieces, 4 minifigs, a Tie fighter, and it is a themed license, for £50. And this is often looked on as being too costly. With this Hayabusa? Something which half the population has probably never heard of or seen, something which has no form of playability, no real features, doesn't do anything, only 369 pieces and 1 minifig no one can relate to... It looks 'nice' and all for a 'cheap' price of £/$50... The best thing about this set? The solar panels are (I assume) printed, and there is a nice shiney gold radar dish piece... This is all just my opinion though
  5. New.... PC....wallpaper..... GAH! that is awesome! I have my Chrome Vader, yet, seeing your pic, yours looks sooo much more impressive than mine xD Your camera angle/setup of the figs/planet works beautifully!
  6. I retract my previous statement xD
  7. New vehicles. And more than likely, they would probably re-use the P2 clones but with more common leg printing and new head/body prints. I dont think they should use P1 clones, or for that matter, any otehr clones/troopers other than the episode they are supposed to belong with, or it just gets a bit mindless as to what episode they are actually trying to achieve...
  8. Its good, and I can see the angle your coming from on what you are trying to achieve, but I feel there needs to be a representation of the engines, perhaps the use of the binoculars or something similar? The top (as already mentioned) is just a few studs too wide on the slope too :) But you have the basic shape going well!
  9. Good point: I am absolutely loving the middle floor, it is sooo highly detailed and just lets the memories come flooding back... beautifully executed! constructive crit point: I'm left feeling that the top floor needs some sort of... I don't know... extra special movable features? Seconded about the chute idea. It is Death Star style imo. It wasn't aimed to be the same shape, just built with the similar design status of the integrated rooms and how they are implemented. Perhaps bring the middle floor out in the very centre of the edge of the walls a few studs to give it a bit of a more curved look in the middle? Other than that... I want to see this in bricks! xD *edit* Perhaps the use of some curved sloped bricks to give it a more smoother feeling on the 'shape' (tops and underneaths of the walls) it is reaching out to be?
  10. 1) b:100 2) Expecting to see the Hoth battle the most, it is one of my fav parts of the old trilogy!
  11. Thats the lil bugger! what is it called, or referred to as?
  12. I have a quick question regarding a particular piece of lego... I'm trying to find out what the piece is called that looks kinda like a Lego spanner, but the handle is much shorter, the semi circle clip bit is symmetrical and is often used as something that can grip something like a lightsaber blade thickness pole... Any answers?
  13. No fair! Im running out of money and they do this?! Thats a perfect opportunity to get it decently priced and now I can't afford it :< DAM LUCK!
  14. You're right :P I get too carried away when I suddenly think of something for part of it that I'm not currently working on, then I go off onto another part of it... so many parts get left half done xD For example, the small (exhaust?) greebling on the very bottom at the rear-most side panel... (this bit: http://www.modelermagic.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/kg_at-at_-028.jpg) I am absolutely stuck on how to achieve this :( TY JJ! Means a lot =D
  15. Yes, you are correct on the front shoulders, in fact, the whole drive engine assembly/hips are slightly too elongated (by perhaps 2 or 3 studs), But I think that without a semi-large redesign, I shall lose some strength in the build. I shall however address this when I have the physical pieces to mess about with as I build it, because this will now niggle away at me xD Pics of more angles: Link is here: If you would like even more angles, message me in particular which you would like, and I shall upload some to my flickr!
  16. This^^ Its making me think the head looks slightly too small now =/ Although I have an idea which is very simple which should hopefully sort it out...
  17. Firstly, ty foremast jack, I used the parts program to get a bricklink list. All parts for the head are now on order, about 80% of the parts I have received... so soon as I get the rest, the head will become reality! And now why I dig up this thread again :P I'm having problems figuring out a way to make angled plates for the bit of armour covering the 'hips', on the side but underneath the body. As you can see in the picture, I have used 1x2x3 inverted sloping bricks temporarily, but I can't really see a way I can effectively use bricks while keeping it all angled inwards, so I would like to use plates instead. However my lack of experience is stopping me from knowing a technique how to do this. I cant really use the 1x4/4x4 plate hinge assembly because gravity will just pull it out of its angle and will just become vertical... I could use the 1x2 hinge bricks, and actually do it brick style, but then how would it be stopped from drooping to vertical? Any ideas/suggestions would be huuugely appreciated! (ps also, can a mod change my title of this thread to WIP AT-AT.... please? I forgot to type it in originally) All progress pics can be seen here: (if link doesn't work, just search Daft Vader1 and go to LDD AT-AT)This pic also shows the technique I'll be using to get the increasing angle for the joining of the armour plates. I havn't seen it used by anyone else for anything (although I'm sure I'm not the first to think/use this!). I feel that this is often either overlooked, or just not done for whatever reason. I wanted to attempt it and I think it'll work out ok!
  18. This very muchly captures the lego-esqueness of non licenced lego =D Great job!
  19. I dont personally know, but if you go to lego online, you can look up for the instructions from them, and then search through the list at the back/end of the instruction book (pdf file) and then compare that to looking at what parts are used to make it, in the instructions make-up of the AT-ST. I had a quick search on itt, pages 22>60 of instruction booklet 1 show the instructions how to build it. It is a long winded way of doing it, but its the simplest way I know of... Unless you go on bricklink, and add the complete set of 8038 to a wanted list, then just check through the instructions, note down everything that is needed for it, then just remove anything that isnt needed form the list
  20. Absolutely love the young George Lucas! Even in such basic Lego building style, it is very clearly him!!! Brilliant moc and carried out very well =D
