Keliim sees there is some movement around the questboard. "Quess I will habt tae go 'nd see what all th' shuffle ist 'bout." He reads the quest #151, "Imp, what ist an Imp?" Oh well it needs help, I am always read tae help ones in need." He thinks to himself. And writes his name down for quest #151. Then he moves back to the table and asks Boris, "What be yer opinion o' th' stat this town ist in?" Habt ye pick'd any side on any of th' houses?"
-
"Aye th't be so." Keliim pauses and drinks from his mug of mead but is also interupted in his own thoughts by the satyr question. "Naa, my helm ist more mi style." And he smiles and taps his fingers on his heroic helm that is beside him on the table and then he continues to speak to Boris, "I don´t wanna soond like a hypocrite now but howst people act around h're ist really low. It seems like everybody just thinks 'bout wh't benefits themsleves 'nd may change their mind 'bout things just in a blink of a second. 'nd wh't ist worst others lives art not worth anythin', killin' for coin ist th' game it seems." "Like on one o' th' quests we let a want'd murder go cause he offer'd us information 'nd "reputation" in excange of his 'nd his mens freedom..." He pauses again. "I donst know maybe I am a hypocrite when I say i willst try tae do th' right thing 'nd try bringin' every thug 'nd criminal in for justice. A hypocrite tryin' tae go against th' system." "What ist justice anymore, th's place ist so full corruption! Th' rulers art nay in trouble as other men, neither art they plagu'd. Th'refor pride compasseth them 'bout as a chain, violence cover th'm as garment. Their eyes stand out witsth fatness. They knowst nay o' any rules." The big man goes silent again drinking his mead.
-
"Glad tae hear th't my friend. Return'd awhile ago, yes. Habt tae say th't I been on two quests in a row th't has really widened mi view on things around h're."
-
The big man lightens up when he hears a familiar voice and turns around. "Boris, lang time nay seen. Sit down." Keliim looks at the new faces around the hall, "Aye, many faces i habt never seen h're. Competent lookin' fellows, I must say. But how habt ye been?" While talking to Boris, he sees the satyr again wanting to trade stuff, this time the big man is a bit more friendly than before. "Nay, I habt nay ne'd for th't helm but I habt nay need for th's cap either. Ye canst habt it, I am always willing tae help a fellow hero out 'nd ye look like a decent fellow." Keliim hands Tim the satyr the Leather Cap (SP:1; headwear)
-
Keliim returns to the hall and walks over to a lone table that is place in one of the corners of the hall, and sits down. His wolf takes place under the table.
-
Keliim walks into the marketplace and buys 3 smokebombs (15 gold), 2 meads and 2 smelling salts(110gold). 300 - 15 - 110 = 175 gold left
-
Keliim had already left to the marketplace when the Satyr comes to ask about the exchange. But he will be back.
-
A moment of silence, which is broken by the big mans sigh. And he turns to the boy again and says "Keep th't up, never change!" Then he gets up and walks out of the hall, signaling his juvenile dire wolf to follow him and he leaves to visit the marketplace.
-
Keliim could see that the boy was left confused by his spoken words or then maybe it was just his accent that he did understand. Not to show what he really thought about the boys goal. That he wanted to tell him that he should return home and stay out of trouble he asks him, "So what art ye actually tryin' tae achive bein' a hero?"
-
"Th't be true. Altough I be thinkin' ist th' world worth heroic acts or be we heroes enough tae save it!" Keliim watches the young knight in the eyes, "But ye be still young 'nd eager tae help 'nd habt th't naive view o' seein' somethin good in everybody, I canst see th' flame still burnin' in thy eyes... promise tae continue withst that." Then the big man turns is view back to the tavern counter andhe continues drinking his mead. Without even turning his head away from his mug, he hands the young Satyr the Cherries. "Th' be thine, I habt nay need for th'm."
-
Keliim looks confused on the short kid, in a knights armor offering gold for the helmet. "Ain't ye a tad too young tae be h're? But I willst accept ye offer. Thanks." The big man takes the gold and gives the boy the helmet.

Being away from Eubric for a few months, Keliim and his wolfreturn to the freeport. Walking down the streets towards the Hall reminded him again of the place, the filth, corruption and hate that dwelled from the streets. It reminded him of why he had left, he did not understand why he had return but something about trying to help, try to do the something to fix the unfixable. Maybe he was naive, maybe foolish in thinking this place could be saved form its upcoming doom. A doom that it would bring on to itself with this pace. He stood outside the door to the Heroica hall, hall of heros. "hmph, wh't a joke." The big man though to himself and pushed the doors open. Once inside, he told his wolf that he should lie down beside the frontdoor and then he walked over to the questboard, to see it be empty for new quests. He also see a dusty note he had left awhile back, he dusted it of and sorted it out. The he walks up to the bar and sits down. "May I habt, th' regular, dear?" He told Scheherazade. When the orc hands him the 2 meads and plate of grilled chicken, the big man asks her that if she has seen Boris around? "I think he is around here somewhere, but I don´t keep up with every hero coming and going! Oh, but before I forget, some Mopag knight left this for you. She hands him a bag of gold. Keliim looks at the bag and wonders why he got this, it had to be from Cree because he didn´t know any other Mopags but why. But then he pockets it and raises his mug in honor of the Mopag.

Quest #145 First of all, big apologies for disappearing after the quest was done (again ) Somehow, it seems I always need to take (or it just happens by itself), a total break off when the quest is finished, just to concentrate on RL and not follow anything on any forums. But now I should be back. Second, thanks Pally (can we call you Pally ), Palathadric for a good quest. It was your first one, right. Not bad, I don´t think I could had done any better. I will have to try someday. As others said the pacing was a, to be honest, almost "nightmareish" but that had to do pretty much with that almost everybody had some real life issuses to handle. (Hope everything is turning for the better) I liked the battles, maybe a bit too hard. But that is not a bad thing, why should every battle need to be easy. But there should had been more of them, ofcourse we did talk ourselves out of one atleast but when the quest was this long the lack of needed exp. and leveling up was bit of a let down. Loot and rewards were great, almost too good. But maybe it was a little compensation for the slow pace Story and plot was good but confusing as others pointed out. At point it seemed none knew what to do. The ending somewhat explained some bits. I liked the NPC but maybe more fleshing out but that is not easy to achive. Exp. Cheapy was good, a real rat he turn out to be . The other players. Great job roleplaying, considering that the RL issues. And I will look forwards to playing with you all again. Too bad it seems Cree (Pedguin) has left the game for now. Take care.

Heroica RPG - Quest #145: Rescue My People!

Thanks for having me, it was fun. I will put some thoughts in the lounge when I have more time. PS. So what did happen in the secret Cree vs fake Pimky quest. Fake Pimky=Dead and in a bloody way as Cree put it? Keliim starts to leave, he walks the same way they took to Pemos Hideout. He felt empty after the quest altough it just was a day long, it felt like a much longer time. He headed his way to the place that had become like his home. BackWood village.- 563 replies

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Mencot replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
Those changes sound rather good, making "truce" optional would had been an improvement alone. The "Cavalier" class that was spoken of earlier, sounds really good and the new changes made to it, would make it something that should be added to the game. I could see Keliim becoming one. Who or what would give out this class? -

The big man was shaking his head and thought "this was not what he signed up for...", he wanted to believe him and some part did. "If th't be th' truth, th'n ye won´t habt nothing against comin' back to Bonaparte with us, right?" He turns to the two men, obviously not doing anything of important.
