Can you change your username?
WhiteFang replied to Ronan Nissen's topic in Forum Information and Help
Hello Ronan Nissen, Changing of user name is possible UNLESS you are able to provide a valid reason why you want to do so. In order to do so, seek approval by forwarding a pm with your reason to the admins to inform them the intention for doing so and they will consider the request on a case by case basis. The question had been answered above and I don't intend to see this topic to become a "Request Centre for User Name changes". Thanks. WhiteFang -
Opps, I had indicated the wrong day.

With some green foilage covering the walls, similar to the left view. I believed it will break the colors to illustrate a dense forest scene. Orignally, I envisioned this moc to be a Forestmen expansion, then I changed the approach and tried this instead. Thanks! Hi Raven and ISC, thanks for dropping your comments. Both of you have make me think carefully again, on this outpost concept. Guess an outpost shouldn't contain so many soldiers. I will be spreading them out later, in the landscape scene. Perhaps, I should reduce one crossbow, one forest ranger and one axe soldier to give it a nice "4".

Hinckley, amazing piece of work! The buildings and the ship's designs are just so lovely and wonderful, especially the tavern and inn. Perhaps, its a good addition to the market village. I am surprised that you have me and Brickster's sigfig. Thanks for including us in it, even though we are badly sliced and bashed by KimT and CopMike. Very creative indeed!

I share your sentiments too. We ought to be grateful that Brickshelf is there for us to use. For their site policy, its up to them to define what is useful or not. It's not right to judge others' folders in terms of whether is it useful or not. Anyway, its up to yourself whether you want to be responsible or not, by helping Brickshelf.

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
WhiteFang replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Lasse D, great! If there are instructions, I might be able to learn a couple of wall techniques. Thanks in advance. -
In Singapore, we don't have many houses decorate with Halloween decorations or know its significance. For most young adults or teenagers, they are likely to join in for some Halloween parties in some disco joint or pubs, just to have fun by dressing up. I had never seen people doing trick or treat in here.

Thanks Pr0visorak! Never thought someone will ever comment my moc as "cute". The purpose of multiple colors involved, is because I want to break the building contrast. I had observed their castle walls from Teddy, ISC, KimT, Dragonator and etc. They had used certain grey to break away the dull look of its walls. You are correct about the damaged walls. I thought black will be the right color to start with, by illustrating its building damage over the years. Another specific reason is, I had ran out of white bricks, so I took black bricks for substitute.

Hello ColdBricks, Welcome to Eurobricks. Although you have joined us a year ago, but I guess you are not familar with how Eurobricks run. There is a forum which is known as BSTF (Buy, Sell, Trade, Find) where members could post their request or sales in there. However, this forum only allows usergroups for "Citizens" and above to create and post topic in BSTF. Refer to the "BSTF Rules" in here. You will find BSTF very useful. However, at this moment we will refrain you from posting such topic until we get to know you better. You could start introducing yourself in here. For now, I will lock this topic and moved it to the right forum. If there is any question, kindly approach any of the staff for FAQs. Thanks WhiteFang

Hey Norrington, welcome to the game! We are going to be concluding the end of Day 4. Hope you have been following with us closely. Seriously, I am looking forward to your particpation.

I admit that the color scheme which I had took, is odd for most castle builders as most of its building orientation is in light or dark grey. The main reason is, I don't have these excess grey bricks for me to start with... I thought for awhile before I decide using black and white combination and a little green and brown by the side. The main problem which I forget to consider earlier is to include green foilage at the front and right side of the outpost. Never mind, I can rectify on that later. Regarding about the archers' add on, there are actually some of the archers have brown cape and quiver, holding a bow with them. Look at their face carefully. There are new rookies whom have recently added into the ranks. Only senior rangers has the honour to wear a cape behind. By the way, its possible to do so but it might damage the cape due to the quiver blocking it. Once the cape is placed there, its best not to move it too much. Thanks for your honest opnions. It will help me a lot in my building later. Thanks for that suggestion. I am trying to build a mini-campfire and resting area for them. I might increase the scale that I am working with. However, the landscaping was put to a halt, because I had ran out of bricks. Yes, a battle picture is something I had envisioned.

Hello fellow Eurobricks members and Castle Lovers, Recently, I been spending a fair amount of time, building my first Castle building moc. It's defintely not as impressive compared to others' wonderful creations. Mine is created solely on my limited amount of bricks. The reason why I had listed it as "part 1" is because in the later part, I will be expanding this outpost with a forest scenery if possible. Comments and critics on my moc's improvement are strongly welcomed. I am trying to improve my techniques and hope to build a better design in the future and I really hope all of you could show me your kindest guidance for an amature builder like me. Story background A tiring day in the sunny bright morning in the southern part of Crown Kingdom. A group of soliders led by the elite forest rangers, was escorting the king's treasure back to the Capital. However, things are not moving smoothly as they are ambushed by orcs raiders. Leaving with only just a few men, the forest rangers had led the soldiers to an abandoned outpost and fortify it until reinforcements arrived. One of the forest ranger, named Alton has dispatched "Elorando", a smart owl whom has the same tracking capability like "Fernando" from Black Knights Kingdom. Will this group ever survive the raid from the orcs and stay hidden in the forest, while waiting for reinforcements to arrive. Stay tune for future updates. Front view of the Abandoned Outpost Interior Layout Side views Staircase leading up to the towers Priceless treasure hidden behind the walls Close-up shot of its archers Surviving soldiers lead by Forest Rangers Hope everyone of you had enjoyed viewing my simple MOC. Henry and Sergio have voted for that lady with overdoze lipstick symptoms... Seriously, I had been trying to observe Mustafa's store and placed Sergio down there to observe and stand guard. One thing for certain, tonight is defintely going to see some actions, as some of us here have refilled their abilities. I believed Mustafa is innocent at the moment. As for the votes, I do not know whom I should vote as Henry and I was patrolling around the village, missing out all the actions earlier. My basis is, since both of my men had placed their votes on her and I hope I can trust their judgement as their superior since the night is going to end soon and the rest of you firmly believed that is a bitch. I meant witch... I had decided to vote for Cassandra/Bob the Construction

I like this Blacktron Version 2 of yours. It looks very sleek and cool with its orignal look of Blacktron with an added futuristic touch in it. The wings are nicely done with SNOT.

Marc, nice to see your LDD's design come to life. The color schema is great. It's completely aligned with the Emergency Crisis crew team. In fact, these sets are a must to have for EB News Team and EB News Reviews. Perhaps, we need to increase our budget to acquire such vehicles. I will love to see a review or two on these sets. If you are interested, perhaps you could sign up for Reviewers Academy. By the way, could you let me know your new title for this topic? It's rather misleading and when 2010 comes, we will have a discussion topic for it next year. Till then, it's clearly a moc. Let me know your new topic title and I will amend it for you. Thanks.

Nice piece of work! I enjoyed viewing this construction sets of yours, which reminded me of Classic Town construction scene. The 4-studs concept with yellow facade and some old school elements such as the scope and bucket. I like the digger though. The only thing I find it a little wierd which is the wheels. I thought most of such design are made of tracks. By the way, thanks for sharing. I heard TheBrickster had featured you in Classic-Town.net too.

It's nice to see this Halloween goody bag from you. I thought you only focus Batman goody bags. The photography shots are nicely done and I will like how you did with that dark wizard of yours with the fiery flame, I believe. Thanks for sharing and have a great Halloween. :skull:

Very good review! I did not have a chance to comment in the academy earlier. Well, I love this set very much as this is one of my earliest childhood set and is my favourite castle ship of all times. The sails from its range of minifigs and weapons included are just so amazing for an incredible affordable price. I must admit I love this set so much. I wish TLG could ever create such a set again, and sweep our foot away. Furthermore, this set comes with 2 additional Black Falcon soldiers and 3 Black Knights soldiers. Thanks for doing this classic castle reviews.

Nice transformer creation. In fact, it reminded me of a particular scene from transformers cartoon where "blue sports car that can fly". Opps, I forget its name. It's a good thing that I can understand these chinese characters

What '09 themes will you be changing?
WhiteFang replied to bub166's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Poll values, reset. Previous votes add up to 22 will be void. Now, everyone of you, please return to the topic. As for me, I am excited of what is coming for 2009. I had chosen Castle which had got me excited, with the 10193 Medieval Market Village. Yes, that is the set I am looking forward to mod and built my own market village. I am not a good moc builder, so I think will do slight modifications a little bit here and there. Likely, to build more market stalls. -

I realised you are not familar with the poll feature and I am not intending to let this topic goes off track. That's why, I gave you some pointers on how to improve the quality of the topic itself. Everyone is learning, so is me and you. Don't worry about making mistakes, but remember to learn from it. -
What '09 themes will you be changing?
WhiteFang replied to bub166's topic in General LEGO Discussion
After reading the introduction of this discussion, I begin to understand your objective clearly. There is no worries, and I am not intending to pull down this topic or poll itself. I want you to be aware that poll and discussion topic are supposed to work hand in hand, especially when the poll is divided into 3 structures. I need to ask you something about the poll though. Are you intending to allow members to click multiple options for part 1, 2 and 3? Untick the checkbox, so you will only allow the user to choose only one option. --> Multiple choice question? (Allows users to select more than one choice) 1) ...what theme are you most excited for? Since this question is asking "What themes excites you the most?" Meaning, the member can select multiple more than one option. 2) ...which do you plan on modding most? Since this question is asking "Which themes do you want to mod first?" Meaning, the member can only select one option. 3) From what you chose on Question 2, how heavy will the mods be? Since this question is asking "Based on question 2, what will be the scope of the modifcations be?" Meaning, the member can only select one option. Fix the poll structure, and I will reset the entire poll values to reflect the correct results. Furthermore, change the questions in bold or re-define it to a much better sentence structure. -

Re-write your top post, and state clear and exact objective which you hope to derive from this discussion itself. The second and third paragraph is an explaination on the polls features. -
What '09 themes will you be changing?
WhiteFang replied to bub166's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hello Bub166, I don't understand the objective of this poll and topic. Could you clarify the exact purpose of this topic by indicating and editing it on the top of your first post. Saying an introduction such as "There isn't much to post here... Just vote. " do not add any value to the topic conversation, especially when the discussion objective is defined in an unclear manner... In addition, to what JimButcher has mentioned. In Eurobricks, Knights and above has the ability to create polls. However, you are granted the poll power as a vassal due to the very fact, that this power was given to you for usage inside the Reviewers Academy, where you as a student makes use of the poll feature to practice your reviews assignment for evaluation. Abusing of polls are strictly not allowed in both public and academy forums. There is a reason why it's only available for a higher user group. Take a look at Lesson 3, FAQs under Question 2 and 3 in the Reviewers Academy, where you find an offical explaination for the poll feature. Thanks. WhiteFang -
I am not sure if Legomilk meant this way, but I will try. 10193, Medieval Market Village is one of the 2 exclusive Castle sets from 2009 which will be available in Shop@Home. However, we will be expecting more surprises for 2009 if someone has already got hold of the information.
