  1. I seriously wants to vomit blood.. I am not even sure if they understood what I am driving at. Let's hope they can resolve it soon.
  2. Thanks guys for your kind comments. Thank you for your assurance too! I am so glad you enjoyed this special presentation! Oh yes, The Penguin is not supposed to be an easy foe for Batman to mess with. I supposed the main attraction for most buyers will definitely be the availability of the chromed claymore, even though the overall pricing will be quite dear.
  3. Hello everyone, BrickArms Limited Edition Chrome Pack (Blade v3) Earlier ago, I have covered the BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 review and now I am back to bring you another exciting new product that was designed and developed by one of the leading Minifigures Customisation Manufacturer, BrickArms. This time, I am reviewing the new release of the BrickArms Limited Edition Chrome Pack (Blade v3) content that was part of the May 2011 (Pack-a-Palooza!) products launch. Contents of the BrickArms Limited Edition Chrome Pack (Blade v3) The BrickArms Limited Edition Chrome Pack (Blade v3) comes with these detailed amazing chromed pointed pokey blades as followed. The Claymore, Plasma Blade, Gunblade, Glaive, Bayonet, Chainblade and silver U-Clip. These are the standard content which is made available in this packet. By touching and feeling with the content, I must really admit that the workmanship for the chrome finishing is more than just amazing. Seriously, I had never seen such excellent chrome finishing and it is unlike any other typical chrome finishing that will eventually see the chrome fell off or chipped off. In this case, to ensure that the quality is maintain at a high standard, the electroplating process was used to enhance the durability and creates that beautiful shiny finishing. Of course, this is not an affordable process that will ultimately achieve low cost. In the past, I had done some research and understanding the process of vacuum metallisation and it is a very expensive approach to achieve excellent chroming for such similar items. To place such small tiny delicate items in the chamber, the investment outlay which you have to put aside to build the fixtures and obtaining the infrastructure made it even dearer than you can ever imagine. I am not sure how Will achieve his, but for sure, he must have faced quite a lot of challenges. Bringing a special presentation together with Batman and the notorious villains Now, after some basic introduction which was done above, I will bring together with my LEGO Batman and his arch enemies in this presentation. I am sure these villains need a serious upgrade on their weapons arsenal and sometimes, close combat with the caped crusader, Batman is not just pulling the muscles. You ought to equip yourself with some sharp blades to make Batman to break his sweat. Oh well, Batman is not alone in this fight. This package is one of mine preferred pack as I am a big fan of blades especially since I love to equip them to my medieval minifigures. However, at the same time, this is also the only BrickArms blade pack available and some of the weapons are not suitable for the medieval era. The main attraction for this pack for myself, is to obtain certain exciting delicious chromed weapons which will be explained further in this review. Of course, another fatal attraction is the influence of "chrome disease". I supposed we humans are all attracted with those shiny stuff and that sort of stuff gave us the perception that it is precious. Indeed it is, like a magpie. Furthermore, you can't purchase any of these chromed weapons individually. You got to buy them as a pack. Claymore (chromed) My favourite all-time weapon and the only main motivation to get this, is the chromed Claymore! Yes, this is likely to be my official weapon which will accompanied my sigfig. Just note the details craved right from the handle all the way to the tip. It is very fitting for a medieval knight. Plasma Blade (chromed) The Riddler chooses the Plasma Blade which is a hi-tech weapon that has long twin blades by the handle. A very sophisticated sci-fiction weapon which is a nice addition to your collection. Gunblade (chromed) As for Batman, he chosen the Gunblade, like the famous Final Fantasy 8 lead character, Squall Leonhart choice of weapon. This is one of mine favourite weapons too, as I finally able to own it in chromed. A wonderful combination of gun and blade fuse together. Glaive (chromed) Not sure why this is called a Glaive as the Glaive is normally considered as a polearm weapon, consisting of a single-edged blade on the end of a pole. For Two-Face, he used that to carve out the skins of his opponent to satisfy his evil half. To me, this is a decent looking "kitchen knife". I do not know why I had that idea, but it struck me this is much suitable for a chef. Bayonet and Chainblade(chromed) plus U-Clip (silver) The Penguin, coincidentally also our Eurobricks member nickname too. He holds both the bayonet and the chainblade which he will be demonstrating together with the silver U-Clip. To me, I considered all 3 accessories to be a form of added damage supplement for firing weapons. A very good way to inflict damage upon close encounters. Precision Sniper Rifle combined with Chainblade The Penguin chosen the Precision Sniper Rifle and combined it together with the Chainblade. Note how the silver U-Clip holds the weapon together. You can choose to customise and orientate this accessory anyway you like to give the best appeal. Combat LMG combined with Bayonet While, the goon chosen the Combat LMG (Light Machine Gun) combined with the Bayonet. A fine weapon to charge at the enemies even if the weapon runs out of ammo. I really prefer the bayonet and it can be used together with those assault rifles. To conclude, this is a decent weapons pack. Even though it is a little costly for the amount of blades which you obtained but it still gives the optimum best and enjoyment for you to equip them. However, for myself, I will really prefer to see the Rapier and Dadao in this pack too. I can't really recall what are the other 2 earlier versions that was released based on the assumption that (v3) is known as "Version 3". Overall, it is definitely worth to buy a pack to try out these nice blades in chrome flavour. Lastly, I really enjoys the "poking" and "sharp pointed feeling" of these blades. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and Brickshelf folder (when moderated).
  4. Then, in this case, it is allowed. Nope, I told you it was not the most obvious staff.
  5. Mariann, even though I just reading it from mine mobile web browser. I am already feeling excited as you are. I can't wait to sit down in front of a decent computer to view those delicious images. I can't believe this set is filled with tons and loads of printed bricks. I can really imagine the use for all of these! Thank you so much for sharing. I wonder if it will ever be just a park exclusive?
  6. I never state or at least indicate in the rules. However, you are strongly encouraged not to. Given the scale of 16x16 to place 16 of them in there is very tight and the focus and part of the evaluation is to judge your unique 16. In order not to de-rail into other non-related minifigures in there, it will just serve more confusion as you will need to differeniate in them via your entry descriptions. This is a traditional rule which exist in all past and current categories. No usage of new parts from the Series 4. Available? Can you please show the link to me. Make a guess! Unless the designer of this poster is willing to step up, but I am sure it is not an easy guess.
  7. Same analogy applies to Disney Toy Story LEGO sets as well. But Disney Cars is one step higher than Toy Story.
  8. Same situation, my friend. I need the new ones though... I meant the new chrome gold bars...
  9. Excellent review! I agreed with you as I, myself have mixed feelings with regards to the LEGO Cars set. I am a minifigure fanatic and getting sets that don't have any minifigures doesn't really work out for me. At the same time, I don't want to look back to see myself regretting it. I strongly believe the Tokyo Pit Stop serve as an excellent starter for you to get yourself familiar with the new Cars platform especially with the delicious printed specialised bricks. However, I am much excited to get Guido though.
  10. No, I don't wish for that. It will completely defeat and destroy the purpose of having the unique variety of Collectable Minifigures.
  11. I still don't have any positive news on my end. Sits there and wait...
  12. My dear UK Eurobricks friends, Without quoting and re-quoting anyone's comments, I will like to resolve and disarm this hostile issue at this very point in a friendly and objective manner without letting our personal feelings to be an obstruction to our views. Firstly, let's not be harsh and get personal with one another. We are a global AFOL community and for sure, we are here in Eurobricks is because we enjoy our LEGO hobby. I can understand the frustrations that are coming by some of you and as compared with previous successful attempts done by Daily Mirror. For sure, LEGO polybags giveaways work very well and it definitely works like a charm for the publisher who is marketing those exclusive polybags. We know this time, demand exceed supply and it has caused lots of resentment out there. I think this model will just work the same way and the same disappointment will be shown across the globe. The event is over and we can do nothing much about it and the Sun will likely not do anything much to resolve it, even though I felt the redeemption thing sounds fishy to me. As I don't resides in UK, I am speaking it from a passerby objective. Let's all not look back at this with bitter thoughts. WhiteFang

  14. Thank you AoNZ. It was sheer lucky. I really never even expected it. Yes, I think we should!
  15. Hello everyone, I am very pleased to bring and share with all of you a very special review which features on one of the leading Minifigures Customisation Manufacturer, BrickArms. This time, I am going to review the latest exclusive release of the new BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 content which is made available starting from the month of May 2011 (Pack-a-Palooza!) The new BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 is the first of its kind which incorporates 13 unique different items which will consist one each of the following colours or prints. They are as followed, "white", "silver", "bronze", "green", "mystery metallic" or "mystery transparent", "transparent clear", "transparent blue", "transparent red", "transparent yellow", "assorted camouflage printed patterns", "chrome", "brown", "helmet" (blue, red, OD green or white) and 1 pack in 20 will contain a 24K gold plated Brickarms item. The packaging can be resealed again after you have opened it, so you could continue to make use of the pack to store those items. I supposed many of you are anticipating the content inside the mysterious packet. Please take a look at this BrickArms Forum discussion topic for more information. Taking a peek into the mysterious content The excitement is killing me My mysterious BrickArms weapons line-up In this one and only mysterious packet which I have received, I have gotten the following BrickArms items. They are the BAR (24K gold plated), BAR (chrome), M1-Garand rifle (army-green), Lewis gun (trans-blue), AC8 (camo-printed), Combat LMG (trans-red), Modern Combat Helemt (red), Needle Gun (mystery metallic), M21 Sniper rifle (transparent), Tactical PDW (brown), HCSR (bronze), Combat SMG (silver), Apoc SMG (white) and Combat LMG (trans-yellow). All of which excites me very much. Can W.F's mercenaries be able to resolve this? The beginning of the BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 review The BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 is an innovative great concept which uses similar concept of the recent craze of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 5. Of course, there is a huge difference in both of such concepts with the exceptional similarities as both are random by nature. In this case, the BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 are packed with rare and uncommon BrickArms items like the camouflage prints, transparent, army green, etc. Personally, I see this as an opportunity for us to buy a good random assorted pack filled with many nice unexpected weapons. I, for one enjoy the fun and novelty of it especially the measures and precautions which Will have taken, as explained below. It is true that we do not have a choice to select in the weapons we want. However, as part of the buying experience, it is all about not knowing what to expect that brings lots of fun into this. You never know when you will ever need a part which you don't need it now. I can imagine Will have done lots of tremendous effort to make sure that this fun is not ruined. He ensures that the package are sealed properly (double-layer security) before he ships out to his resellers. He does a great job to ensure the allocation of different random specific colours or prints of the 13 different items. You got no way to identify which mystery pack has the 24K gold plated item as all of the packaging is the same. Yes, there is no dotted marks or any sort of markings made available. Furthermore, the weigh of all different random BrickArms items computation are all random as it will be a combination of either 13 to 14 items altogether. In this case, it will be very hard for one to deduce based on the packaging weights. Thus, this further reinforce the probability and equal distribution for the buyer. BAR (24K gold plated) I am extremely happy and elated to have scored an incredible probability. For mine very first pack that I have gotten, I can't believe my odds and luck to be able to score an incredible and beautiful BAR which is done and presented in a 24K gold plated finishing. Mere words can't express my excitement and joy in this very unexpected situation. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to score a 24K gold plated BrickArms item. Do note that the the 24K gold plated item is being placed in a separate ziplock bag within the original content. I have used my sigfig to hold this precious priceless BAR. Just admire the sheer bright golden shine on this weapon. The finishing is made up of high quality and it is definitely have a beautiful and smooth finishing. I reckon the rest of the other 24K gold plated items will also be as nice as this. It will be stored safely to ensure that it will never be misplaced. I will love to have this displayed in a nice acrylic casing with spotlights hanging above. BAR (chrome) Next, we have the mafia looking gangster who is holding another print of the BAR. This time, we have it in chromed finishing. I never had the chance to own the BAR in chrome finishing and it is very pleasing to know that I managed to secure two different finishings of the BAR in a single packet. The chrome finishing are very nicely done. There is no doubt that chrome are actually so much nicer when vacuum metallisation is being used in this expensive process. It is not like any of those cheap looking paints that do your chrome finishing. This is completely different. Every angle is covered with those delicious chrome. M1-Garand rifle (army-green colour) The M1-Garand rifle coated with the Toy Story army green colour is very much suitable and appropriate for our green solders. From the musket down to the rifle butt, every bit of it is well designed and I am surprised that green is as nice as their brown rifles. I am equally glad to have this in my collection. Lewis gun (trans-blue) The power-pack Lewis gun is now presented in trans-blue which is somehow best suited for our aquatic friends. You can't really purchase trans-blue from the website, so it is definitely pretty uncommon to acquire one. The rounds mechanism on the top can be rotated like the regular ones. It is a fine weapon indeed. AC8 (camo-printed) The camp-printed AC8 is one of mine favourite weapons in this lot. First of all, this is my very camo-printed weapons in my collection and I am extremely impressed with the quality of this print. I seriously do not know how Will's printer is able to cover the details of those camouflage prints but you got to admit that the prints cover every single speck of it. Furthermore, this camouflage print is one of mine favourites and you can't really buy this directly too. Combat LMG (trans-red) The fiery hot Combat LMG is now in trans-red. It can also be used in volcanic actions battle or infuse with fiery flame that will take the enemies down. It is a nice decent weapon which can be used in your collection. Modern Combat Helmet (red) The red Modern Combat Helmet is the very first design that I have owned. It is a customise design which is developed by BrickArms and it is well designed. I am wondering what sort of use I could use this helmet for, but who knows I might use it for a Red Guard, one day. I am sure I will be able to find a good use for it. Needle Gun (mystery metallic) Did I get the colour wrongly? I am quite sure this was classify as mystery metallic? Or was it actually purple? Then again, whatever the case, this Needle Gun is very appropriate for my sci-fi action minifigure. I don't really have much use for this, but I am very certain I will be inspired to find ways to utilise this new weapon of mine. M21 Sniper rifle (transparent) The transparent M21 Sniper rifle is one of my hot favourites among this lot. I am fond of transparent stuff as it gave me a feeling that the weapon was actually quite invisible looking, if I adjust the brightness further upwards. I love those sniper rifles and this will adds into my valuable collection. Tactical PDW (brown) Before I got this brown Tactical PDW, I never knew that this weapon was only made available in the BrickArms Modern Combat Pack. In this pack, only black was made available and it didn't sold separately like other weapons. This is definitely a fine looking brown weapon. HCSR (bronze) Take a look at the bronze HCSR. The bronze finishing is very appealing and I thoroughly enjoyed it very much. In fact, I will love to collect all different rifles in different colours and this bronze version made a fine addition. Combat SMG (silver) The silver Combat SMG is also another one of the very useful weapon which I could love to use, along with my M4, AK, weapons. Those sub-machine guns are truly awesome and this design sure reminds me of MP5. Great to have this weapon in silver. Apoc SMG (white) This is a fine new white Apoc SMG. Like the silver Combat SMG, these weapons are very useful to equip them into your SWAT officers, urban combat, zombie warfares and stuff like that. White is pretty uncommon too, and I am pleased to have the Apoc SMG in white. Combat LMG (trans-yellow) Why am I using the Space Police II minifigure? Not sure what is the reason behind it, but I find the colour schematic of the trans-yellow Combat LMG very suitable for him. Even though the weapon is traditional by nature but the trans-yellow finishing made the weapon appears to be futuristic somehow. Furthermore, this is the second Combat LMG that I have received in this pack, including the trans-red. All ready and equipped At the end of this review, I am extremely pleased and delighted with my first BrickArms Mystery Pack Volume 1 line-up. I am very happy with all of them and it also gave me a chance to try out on those new cool looking items which I never had a chance to see before with my very own eyes. Of course, the same design which I have been getting, also adds in a great deal of fun with some nice uncommon colours too. All in all, I really love and adores the 24K gold plated, transparent, chrome, bronze, camouflage-printed, silver and army green the most. I will highly recommend all to pick this pack up through the official resellers if you are interested in this concept with a great deal of fun. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and Brickshelf folder (when moderated).

  19. Ohh, I noticed my latest new title! - Excalibur, be my strength! [ I got to love this new title of mine. At this moment, I am still not sure who gave this to me. I am suspecting either ISC or Kiel who gave me this latest new title. I am sure it was inspired by my latest sigfig choice of weapon. ]
  20. I did tell you to share. And I will appreciate if you share in the right existing topic. Read the tutorials in Euorbricks Website and Forum. Brickshelf folder need abit of time to moderate before the link become public. You can deeplink those images as quoted from the tutorials. Please be clam and don't be frantic. Appreciate greatly if you follow the advice and instructions. Thanks.
  21. Happy Birthday Cammy. Opps. It should be Big Cam. May you have lots of fun and joy in this lovely day.
  22. First post updated too! Thanks guys for helping to update them.
  23. Yes, it is the same old rules like all previous Collectable Minifigures Series contest.
  24. I saw the movie last night and I got to grab mine Whitecap Bay soon. Now I understands the various new characters. I got to agrees that the Fountain of Youth entrance is wrong, but I don't think it is easy to create a vertical entrance. I really wish that set includes Angelica or even the Spanish. Geez, I could now really relates all of the new POTC 4 sets in a fun fashion and it really thrills and excites me more after watching. Even though, I got some of mine own complaints with regards to the movie, but there is nothing I can do. To appease yourself, getting those LEGO sets are a nice start and everything about it. I can't believe I will enjoy this theme much. Now, I need to expand my POTC collection soon.
  25. For people who have watched the movie, POTC 4, you got to be amazed with the whole Captain's Cabin idea especially the bottles rack. I totally never expect the logic and concept behind this. I watched mine last night and after watching, I need to complete my POTC collection soon. It's just amazing.
