  1. Maybe I should volunteer as I have most of the Kaliphlin sigfigs. Problem is, from October on, my new job will start so I won't have that much building time anymore :(
  2. Wait a minute, you are from Germany? Why are you looking for shops in the U.S.? The overseashippingcosts are way to high to be interesting :(
  3. Hey, MAESTRO wants a trading post there as well :p Oh, now I think about it, PGTC & GEAR will have a stockage room in Stedor. There is still one spot free for a Kaliphlin trading organisation. Is there a major trade organistion I am forgetting? Also, does the PGTC has a herald? :) About the namechange: With using my real name and the first letter of my last name, I am hoping to do my hobby in a more professional way :) The maximunus made me really laugh :p
  4. Seriously, I understand you guys expect a lot of LEGO, but sometimes you really are in a bad overdrive. Probably the sets are based on the 3 most important moments in the movie, so kids wants to buy these sets because that specific battle was so epic. And yes, they could have slightley changed the minifigs to please the AFOLs but don't forget, the minifig still has to be a copy of the character in the movie. Kids are real experts in noticing these things... So be happy with what you get!! And if you aren't pleased with the sets, modify them yourself!! It still is LEGO
  5. Aaah my siggy is staying the same as always :p Lord Dama is a prince from the guild of Ximus and as every warlord there adds Ximus to their name, his common name is Lord Damaximus :) Other characters from the same Guild are Lord Tomvaximus, sir Bendeximus, general Whisximus, admiral Bostoximus, champion Erehximus, ... :) (edit: those characters are already used in my storyline)
  6. Nice intro Behemoth!! :) I changed my name ;) Lord Dama Ximus will still be my siggy so you still can call me DM :)
  7. Aw, a fallen Alleenridder-brother :( well, he died as he wished: like a hero :)
  8. Just saying :p I do have those flags in my flag collection though :p
  9. Hmm, I got a fig or two with some artist clothing but not the dog :p otherwise I can create a herald for Ruadh if you tell me what has to be in it :) Or Ruadh van have a specific flag combination (like orange-purple or blue-dark green or ...) :)
  10. At Behemoth: don't be bothered because your first MoC already disappeared from the first page. There are just a lot of new entries being posted everyday :) especially nowadays due smaller AOM-builds and Mount-Up entries. Also, have some patient, one of the next days I will comment on all the new Mocs of the last 2 or 3 weeks :) And everybody else: part 1 of 3 is ready of project "renovating West Stedor" and has a 96x48 base :) Will be photographed soon :D
  11. AscI finally have my troops reorganised, is there a need for sending reinforcements? :) I discovered I already have 130 "1001 Tigers" :D
  12. Very nice DG! I will comment on the topic the moment I got my laptop back :) Now, I want to start a small discussion here. Should there be marks of age in new buildings?? In my story, my city is a new build city. That's why there are no agemarks in the buildings. If I take a good look to your gatehouse DG, there are already some agemarks in the stonework. I understand most of us castlebuilders love to see a building that looks like it is more than 500 years old. They look to examples of castles which survived all those ages and still can be visited nowadays. And they want that look in their castles. But somehow they forget that they are building in a medieval setting. So in fact the building should have a new and fresh look. Ofcourse there are exceptions like cities who have been recently raided or are some hundreds years old theirself. A new house should look new. If I was a lord in medieval times and my workers made a house or castle for me that already looks 200 years old, I would be pissed off :) I hope you see my point of view. It is not only about the fabolous gatehouse of DG, allmost all the Avalonians have this "agemarksyndrom"
  13. Welcome in our beautifull Guild Sarah! As Kaliphlin is well-known for its good taste and fine manners, your artists will certainly be a part of our cities :) Like others said, a city needs a lot of different things. There can also be more than one city specialised in a certain skill. Qarkyr for example has a great fame as mining city :) (Mpya) Stedor is very famous for its gem-mining, goldsmithing and weapons (there have been builds made in the past) The only thing you have to take in count is the location :) a city in the forests will have no opportunities to become a mining while a city in the mountains has nothing to do with wood :) Perfect! I will incorporate a Ruadhi in my WIP ! Have they something special so you can easily recognise them?
  14. Happy holidays as well LV!! Don't forget us as shadowmere is represented in my next build :D
  15. Congratz everyone! I really enjoyed your entries :) too bad I was in a dark period myself, I will make it right with the next challenge :)
  16. Altough it is nice to present it at the same moment, I would advice you to make your city step by step :) it took me 3 years for half my city (7 48x48 modules). And it will take me at least 3 more years to finish my current ideas. I see it as a lifetime project :) this way I can also spread the cost of the bricks over some years :)
  17. I am using my veto against steampunk for chopping down trees or to use steampunk machines in warfare. You can always use slaves if you want to chop down trees. :) There are many possibilities in a medieval fantasy world without the need for a modern society. :)
  18. You can also use pringles-boxes to sort your pieces :) and you get some chips with it
  19. Yes, my army is sorted :D and my bricks are sorted as well :) next week will be MOC'ing week :)
  20. Nice to hear you again NM!! Erm I have no experience with puppies. I would suggest to brick on a huge table? :p California is just a little bit too far away from Belgium (Europe) to fly over for a weekend :p I want to do it sometime in the future (exposing at an American convention) when I have a good working contract :) (I just graduated so you will have to wait a few years).
  21. Well Lord Damaximus is mainly occupied with the siege of Eastgate. His substitute in Mpya Stedor, Lord Tomvaximus, is longing for a good old fashioned bath in the therms of the city. He is kinda busy lately with keeping the peace between the different warlords of Mpya Stedor. They all want the new elephant in their army, so they are parading in the city with their soldiers. Meanwhile the workers started renovating the Western Wall and its quays. Lord Max Samu is somewhere around Everlast as they found a new mount for the I.A.M.S. Assassins Maestro is looking to send a trademission to Auner and maybe to establish a shop there. Furthermore, there are some Alleenridders wandering all-over historica looking for missions. One of them will visit Sultans Gate. Anyway, those who can read between the lines, have an idea of my upcomming projects this month :)
