Would it be greedy to hope that the awesome new figures in the advent calendar will be in a real set that is the special AFOL-geared set alluded to so often? Because that's what I'm hoping. :-)

Um, so don't put the stickers on then. Problem solved. *sweet*

Do you keep your Lego Boxes?
salty tbone replied to RememberTheLittleGuy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I get rid of the boxes and never really think twice about it. I just don't have the space, and to me, it's the bricks inside that matter. *sweet* Of course, I'll now contradict that and say two of the more cherished parts of my collection are my boxes for the original 6075 yellow castle and first-run Main Street sets from my childhood -- the only boxes to survive the dark age purge of the mid-90s. Although that has more to do with sentimentality than anything else. One thing I do hold on to are Shop at Home catalogs. I have every one since 1997 (the end of my dark age). They don't take up a lot of space and their photos make them great references (even if Lego does reverse images too often to fit their layouts). -
It looks to me like Salacious Crumb with a bomb. *sweet* I'll buy the set just for that sticker. (Ok, maybe not, but I still like it)

I really hope it's not a $5 set (especially when compared with the $6 Crossbow Attack). Does anyone know the price of these? Are they impulse sets (and $3.50 like others on S&H)?

Think harder. ;-) Pirates ...... Wild West ............ Adventurers ................. Exo-Force (there was a pistol in the sentai fortress)

Never thought I'd see someone complain about a set having too many figs. 8-

Where is 7036 Dwarves Mine From S@H???
salty tbone replied to concreteasflesh's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hopefully it's back for a little while so that people who were slow to buy it will get a second chance. I ordered the set when it was on backorder earlier in December and Lego cancelled the order a couple weeks later. :'-( I was lucky enough to find it in the Lego store in Bridgewater, N.J., so I'm content until the new castle sets out. -
I saw a couple Arkham Asylums at TRU for 49.99. The last remaining Viking sets were also on sale $25 for the dual catapult and $20 for the rapid-fire catapult (sorry forget the names). Two Wal-Marts I went to had 40-50% markdowns on Aqua Raiders and Exo-Force sets 7774 Crab Crusher -- $30 (was $49.99) 7775 Aquabase Invasion -- $35 (was $69.99) Also, 8107 Fight for the Golden Tower -- $30 (was $49.99) 8108 Mobile Devastator -- $45 (was $89.99) Some Bionicle stuff was also marked down. (As well as Thomas the Tank engine, if you're into that sort of thing).

Looks to be an expensive summer. :'-( Guess I'll wait to actually see the sets before I commit to being happy or disappointed.

Has there been any mention of price/piece count yet?

One of the alternative models on S@H shows six of the 2x2 windows with white frames. *sweet* Those will be the main reason I'm buying this set, which is quality all-around based on what I've seen.

Thanks for the review. U.S. Shop@Home has the set listed for $14.99. A lot less attractive to me now. (And yes, before any of my European friends start talking exchange rates, I'll admit I'm spoiled by U.S. pricing) :-)

Where is 7036 Dwarves Mine From S@H???
salty tbone replied to concreteasflesh's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I certainly hope it comes back. I was lucky to get one in Target when it first came out. I ordered two more (I love the dwarves) when it was listed as "Backordered" on Dec. 7 after being "Sold Out" for weeks. The expected ship date was mid-January. But when I checked my order status yesterday, it was "cancelled." Would have been nice to send me an email :-| -
Oh, man, here we go again. :-|

7670 Hailfire Droid and Spider Droid review
salty tbone replied to brickbitz's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the pics and review. I understand why you're sour on this set with the price. If you're interested in the links and trans dishes, it's a decent value, IMO. Also, the only other way to get the new droid arms are in the MTT, I believe. -
I'm still waiting for a version that works with Vista. THAT should be in the Apple anti-Vista ads. :-)

Review: 7620 Indiana Jones - Motorcycle Chase
salty tbone replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
After getting so hyped with your review, I've searched and searched and finally found my own. Wonderful minifigs (although I can already tell that by next year I'm going to have a small bin filled with Indy minifigs). I love the two motorcycles (I have the green version from the Bat Tank), but like others have said, I think they're too moto-cross modern for this set. I'm still keeping them though. *sweet* I can't help but wish they would had made a classic motorcycle body. One disadvantage of getting sets so early -- mine is missing the rounded front piece to the sidecar and Lego's customer service Web site says 7620 is not a valid set number. :-/ I have to remember to return later to request the piece. (Guess I'll just have to go back to TRU and buy more sets. X-D ) -
Review: 7622 Indiana Jones - Race For the Stolen Treasure
salty tbone replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Licensed
Actually it's US $30.99 in TRU ($29.99 elsewhere). Still a great set, though. A very minor point -- The only thing I was disappointed in was that there's only one set of coins. The box shows more than four coins, but oh well. (I really like the coins, BTW :-) ) -
The trans-green flames were also in the older diver series.

Well, I don't have a picture, but there are two pistols and a rifle -

Thank's for the great pictures! It got me so excited for this set I braved the Saturday shopping crowd/traffic in the hopes of finding one for myself. As luck would have it, the Toys R Us near me in Pennsylvania has almost ALL the new sets, including Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Exo-Force and Sponge-Bob. This was $30.99 (I was never so happy to pay the TRU mark-up X-D ) -
It was $30 at the LEGO store in Bridgewater, N.J.

The new SB sets were in the LEGO store in Bridgewater, N.J., and the hands are indeed yellow (on the box at least). I didn't buy the sets, yet, though I was extremely tempted.
