Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Hellfyre replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Many thanks - I managed to snag a Carnage set, along with the Flash Speeder and Batboat at Langleys toys in Norwich (a Toymaster branch). They had the Sandman set too. They were missing Jokerland and Ant-Man sets, but far as I could tell all the summer sets were there. -
New Star Wars summer sets are available here in the UK now in Toymaster branches. Picked up a Flash Speeder, will get the Imperial Shuttle when its cheaper.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I noticed you live in England, so I was wondering where you found the new sets? Thanks. -
The head is a fleshie - Arctic theme minifigs are yellow. The previous Echo Base set is still available in my nearby TRUs... they don't seem to have sold that well, I don't know see the demand in a new one....

Why not? I think he looks great. The comics Crossbones always looked like a Bane wannabe to me. This film version looks like it will fit right in with the MCU. I am intrigued by those things on his hands, maybe they are there to deliver more devastating blows.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Personally, I prefer the Javelin. It's a really nice and solid vehicle to swoosh around, and it comes with a cast of figures, all of which (bar Superman) are completely new. The Tower looks nice, but I would feel that the Javelin has more playability and use, as well as superior minifigures. -
The arms on the I-Rex are too long and it has one too many digits, sure, but its resemblance to this image of Carcharodontosaurus (courtesy of DK) is almost uncanny (the colour scheme mainly). http://www.peterminister.com/images/carcharodontosaurus_copy.jpg

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were never called inhumans.

I'm going to use the I-Rex as a Carcharodontosaurus myself. It looks enough like a giant allosaurid.

There's at least two I know of in London - Stratford shopping centre (on the east side) and the Westfield shopping centre at Shepherd's Bush (on the west side). Both accessible by underground tube trains. As for exclusive keychains, I'm not entirely sure, I've never seen any (or looked for any, for that matter), but its worth a look.

It's a portmanteau of 'construction' and 'action'.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I have never seen any of these in the John Lewis stores near me, not even in the store on Oxford street London. I know they do big sets from the Creator line (the Modulars), but thats it. -

None yet (as far as I can tell), but I think it's safe to assume it will be £50. Ordered the smallest 3 AoU sets from Amazon. The others I'll wait to get on sale. -
Personally, I do wish they've come up with something other than the fourth Sith Infiltrator, something we haven't seen before or hasn't been remade yet. I would have suggested a Theed Palace duel set, but that may compete with the Final Duel set. Maybe a remake of the Cloud Car? Just something a bit more fresh. The Flash Speeder will be an instant buy, but it will need modding. It's far too big - should be two seated, not four seated. And the gun is very boxy. Otherwise, it is a solidly designed set. Maybe it would have been a better idea for TLG to have swapped price points with this and the spring AAT, which is undersized - a £40 AAT would have been more satisfying, and a £25 Flash Speeder would have been perfect.

Yeah, I love metal and all the subgenres in between, from Avenged Sevenfold (yes, I consider them metal) to Behemoth. I'd say my favourite band is Rammstein. Saw them a couple years ago at Download Festival and it was the best live performance I had ever seen in my life. The first ever gig I went to was Iron Maiden in 2011 at the O2 Arena (I never had money for gigs beforehand or means of travel, I had been spending everything on Lego!). Ever since, going to gigs has been my second hobby and I've seen more bands than I can be bothered to count. I think my more favoured subgenres in the past few years have been Symphonic metal and Folk metal. Last semester I saw Epica and Eluveitie, and I would count them among my favourite gigs. Incidentally, tomorrow I will be buying tickets to see Nightwish, Arch Enemy and Amorphis at Wembley Arena (it will be my second time seeing Nightwish with Floor as lead). Last gig I went to was Primordial last Saturday, supported by Winterfylleth and Portrait. I also saw Slipknot (for the second time) at Nottingham a few weeks ago and Amon Amarth here in Norwich the week before that. Next Tuesday I'll be seeing Black Label Society at my university which is refreshing because I don't have to go far this time. Other gigs I'll be attending this year are Kamelot, Ensiferum/Insomnium/Omnium Gatherum, Sonata Arctica and Powerwolf/Xandria. Very excited.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Hellfyre replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks! At first, I didn't like the mirrors, but then I noticed that it does enhance certain displays such as the Hoth one, making it look like I have more in my Imperial arsenal It's like the economical way to army-build... -
Minifigures Series 9 Guessing Game
Hellfyre replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This is what I would like to see in Series 9. Some of these ideas have already been mentioned, but that would be because they're excellent ones that I would like to definitely see. 1. Pumpkinhead-style headless horseman 2. Medusa (with Ninjago snake tail) 3. Terracotta warrior 4. Golfer 5. Scarecrow (a generic farmer's one) 6. Judge 7. Witch doctor 8. Guitarist with new acoustic guitar piece 9. Roman Emperor 10. Astronaut (not a fantastical one, but a realistic one) 11. Templar Knight 12. Gothic girl 13. Dark elf 14. Secret agent (James Bond inspired) 15. Basketball player 16. Yeti -
Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Hellfyre replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi, I keep the majority of my LSW collection in these two display cabinets. I have an IKEA one which keeps another portion of the collection. These three are always out, no room anywhere else for them. And they are pleasing to the eye. Here's a closer look at the PT display. I have most of my battle droids stored away in a box because they keep falling over and there's no room for them on the CIS shelf. And at the OT stuff (and everything else that needs to be sorted) A link to my flickr if you want to see closer pictures flickr -
It looks like Venom when he's a member of the Dark Avengers, filling in for Spider-Man, and so he loses the huge teeth and tongue for a while. So in that vein, he's fairly accurate.
-
I agree completely. If they never release Venom in a set, I'll be broken hearted (I just hope FBTB are wrong. And Venom is an integral Marvel villain, to only release him for a Comic-Con in limited numbers would not be a wise business move at all). I really hope Phoenix reappears in a set too, but I'm not too fussed about Bizarro, not a fan of the character.

DC Mr. Freeze (remake, perhaps with CMF Space Marine armour and a better gun) Scarecrow (remake) The Penguin (remake, maybe with new moulded Penguin minions) Killer Croc (remake) Clayface (perhaps Hulk-style figure, with interchangeable hands that can be swapped with assorted weapons) Hush Man-Bat Deathstroke Black Manta Metallo Sinestro Atrocitus Green Lantern The Flash Aquaman (someone to make good funnies out of ) Marvel Venom my favourite all-time Marvel villain, I need him... Carnage Green Goblin (comic styled) Doctor Octopus (comic styled) Doctor Doom The Lizard Sandman Red Skull HYDRA goons Silver Surfer The Fantastic Four Nick Fury

1. Turtle/tortoise 2. Penguin 3. Rhino 4. Lizard 5. Tiger

Heavy Missile Platform, aka Droid Gunship (TLG made a set of it back in 2008). It's also present during the Battle of Kashyyk during ROTS.
