Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
raminator replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
I still don´t get the problem with the short legs at all. Legs are not that expensive to get and I think there might be even good solutions for Hulk and Gobby available soon. I would bet that in one of the next CMF series there will be dual-molded legs that could be usefull... Also...for Hulk: ist it confirmed that he´ll be with green Torso? In AA there were some episodes in which he wore a dark blue Jumpsuit/Uniform. -

What if they make them multi colored short legs like with the simpsons? I think Gobby would look pretty nice with purple-green-purple legs. -
Some more Updates...sort of. :P I got me some heads printed (with my design of course) that represent me and my wife. The heads are double-sided, with one face being me and one her (isn´t this romantic?) Enough talk! Let´s start with some serious Cosplay! watched last episode of season 2 of Avengers Assemble today. In the end there was shown this. First look at Carol? by bricks @ raminator, on Flickr Do you notice that there´s red on the side of her torso? Also Hair looks alot different. So either they alter her haircut in the show or we are getting a blonde friends bobcut. Also see: Dr Strange, Spidey, Moon Knight and Black Panther :) -

Green LANTern? -
After a couple of more renders I noticed, that some metallic materials (using the über shader) don't render applied decorations. Is this wanted or a bug?
-
I think it's just too time consuming for them. If you go to Legoland Germany for example and visit the "factory" there (they actually produce promo bricks), you will see how they print. Let's say they have there a machine that is able to print 4 colors (simultanously on 4 parts). The first coat is white and is printed at the first pad. The second coat is white again and is printed at the first pad too. The other 3 pads only print one layer per color. While the second white coat is printed all other pads stand still. So in the end you double the production time.
-
ah Ok. =) Did some more testing and the metallic Materials are way too noisy with samples set to 1. With samples 10 you get nicer results, but I think you already knew that ;)

First test. First tests with Bluerender. by bricks @ raminator, on Flickr I am pretty impressed so far.

I called the customer service some minutes ago. They told me that the figure is out of stock, because it was sold out in just a few hours on saturday. BUT because of the huge demand they fill up stock again. WS should be available again this weekend. -

Design Question/Reflexion
raminator replied to Aveal the black sheep's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
good question. I'd say is a matter of the Figure you are going to design. For example I'd never put a belt on a female characters hips... oh...I just noticed that I did, but will come to it later. does not look right to me. Also Batman's utility belt is a good example for a belt that would look wrong on his hips. If the purpose of the belt is to keep your pants up, go for the hips. In the end it's just a matter of taste. And Lego isn't consistent with belt placing too. -
