yeah...Ash needs his chainsaw...and maybe a shotgun as well :P

the stickers i use are matte. i have some puzzle-glue at home that makes it look more shiny. but since i´m pretty new to this stuff i don´t want to use that glue until i´m pleased with my decals. thanks

Inspired by frogstudio´s Black Falcons 2012 i´ve tried to make my own version of the Black Falcons basing on my previous work. I´ve made 2 sets (dark blue and yellow) for both Torsos and 3 sets of shields (oval, round, triangular each in yellow and dark blue). would be nice to get some comments and maybe some tips how i can make them look better or what kind of details are missing.
-
impressive stuff you made there =)
-
actually it´s the Coat of arms of Dortmund. compare Bundesadler to Dortmunder Adler both are eagles but i prefer the one of Dortmund :P
-
here are the newer decals. 2 of the torsos got some belts. the shields have that noise-effect removed now. and here are other decals i´m working on. the Elven Shield is based of this one made by ED-209.

Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets

I always touch the bags to see what's in there since i just want to get some special minifigs and am not interested in collecting them all. Last week i saw some kids opening the bags to get dwarves...that's a no go for me. Coz if you are touching it it is garanteed that the bags are complete. -
here´s a little update with revamped stickers. i scraped the custom made stuff coz it lagged quality. and here´s a pic of 2 side-projects i will work on in the future. "dark knights" and some sort of elven army. comments are welcome

it´s a combination of both. the form made in sculpey was not that great and the temperature was around 100°C. higher temperatures should give better results. another thing is the size of the "hacked" beads. if it would be more like powder the process should benefit even more. best and most expansive way (~90€+) would be to make a stainless steel 3D print at shapeways for the form. this way you could use it in the oven or just ironing it. a cheaper (less than 5 €) way would be to make the form out of ceramics at shapeways. this way you could at least use it in the oven + because it is cheaper you can add lot´s of swords to it :P

thank you. =) the problem is that i use my mobile for taking pictures. another thing is that my printer´s color is nearly empty, so everything looks less colourful compared to the pngs. will post some updates when i have boughed new cartridge for my printer (this time with camera and not with mobile :P)

Hello everyone. i just made some tests with Hama Ironing Beads. linky since those beads melt whily ironing i thoughed i could try melting them in the oven. i made a "negative" form of the Gladiator´s sword and hacked some of that beads into small pieces. with a good "negative" form and the right temperature it should be possible to make easily and cheap (1000 beads = 2 €) custom stuff. another possibility is to use those beads for customizing spears and other stuff. it´s a bit tricky but it works. has anyone tried this before? Pic 1 shows the sword i mentioned. Pic 2 shows some stuff you can do with this beads.
