Anyone else dissapointed in their hailfire droid?
Clonecommando007 replied to Clonecommando007's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Darth Legois the entire set is amazing it's a great buy; the hailfire droid is pwn with those missiles and the wheels. I'm just thinking that it would be better if the wheels were bigger and there was a little gun under it. The main complaint I have is about the wheel size. -
Anyone else have this set? Great set; with all the vehicles and figures. But there's something lacking here isn't there? Oh yes...It's detail. The hailfire droid is atrociously inacurate. Does this upset anyone else? A few images from the set: Though I love the dwarf spider droid, the Hailfire droid upsets me, particurally because of the size of those wheels. Sure it's an ingenious system, but they're so small! Anyone else have some thoughts on this set?

Three legged is generally more stable; sure it can stand on two legs but if someone knocks it, it's doomed. So if it's shelved, put it on three legs, if it's in a diorama and firing the main gun put it on three legs too; but if it's supposed to be walking put it on two legs. Thats the whole reason there is the third leg there is for stability while firing the main cannon.

Before we all go and join the game, we need to all find which server to play on. Also we should get a teamspeak server; I believe we can get them for free.

I had a Black Tophat sitting in my room ready to place on my Abraham Lincoln in a Vignette for a contest. After returning to my room, I found the area where the tophat had resided had been dusted clean, and to this day I still not have found the black tophat. I was not able to enter my vignette.

I've been browsing around at the builders lounge all day, but this is the best thing I've seen so far! I've also seen this in a picture or two next to a ginormous moon base; I couldn't find other pictures of the base in your folders. Is there another folder with lots of pictures of the huge moon base? Please PM me with the link if you have it.

Ok, I've had a bit of a Pause with my Battlefield Comics as I have been working with Lego Star Wars a bit recently. I have a big question; if you reply to this topic, please help me with this topic. Should I continue Battlefield Comics or should I make Star Wars Clone Wars era Comics? Anyways, On to the battlefield Police vehicle tour: If you want to view the Flickr Slideshow Click Here. If you want to see more images of the vehicles, go to: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/clonecom...omics/Vehicles/ And please, help me answer my question: Should I continue Battlefield Comics or should I make Star Wars Clone Wars era Comics? Thanks for reading!

This is a good try; and it seems you have some inspiration. However, I think you need to develope more of a plot. Create characters for your stories; not all units in the CIS are droids. Make a few trandoshans maybe; use the Orc heads. Give units personalities. More frames with direct speech text in them would be nice too.

Those are both awesome; that's the first predator I've seen. Nice work on that.

(M, 19) Teythar Lag, Steward of Vineland, Defender of the Crown Knights Kingdom Teythar moved away from the Ork to try to find Edthgar. He still wanted men to help him defend Vineland! He began to wonder at this time where the rest of his party was... "Teythar! We're back!" Ark, the famed hunter, said as he rode up. Trailing in John's wake were Scot the Soldier and John, the old man. "We chased the undead fire cavalry back from whence they came!" Scot said. "Did you miss us?" "Not a bit." Teythar admitted. "John's been hit by an arrow; we pulled it out and bandaged the wound, but he needs more attention." Scot said. "Well take him to the fortress; surely they'll help him." Teythar replied. Teythar left his friends to take care of John, and went to look for Edthgar. He soon found the fortess commander. "Edthgar!" Teythar screamed, "I need men to help me defend Vineland! Please help me! Can you spare a passe of troops?"

Teythar, the Steward of Vineland, is still waiting for Agentrick's response to his request for reinforcments. Teythar wants to go back and defend vineland...or help out the crown any way he can.

(M, 18) Eastern Outpost, Scene of Crown Knight Victory Teythar Lag approached Edthgar and Tyrius as they were interrogating an Orc. Teythar dismounted, and stood still for a few moments, and then pulled Edthgar over to the side, away from the rest of the group. "Greetings." Teythar said, "I am Teythar Lag, Steward of Vineland." "Hello," Edthgar introduced himself, "I'm the lord of the Eastern Outpost. How may I help you, Teythar?" Teythar took a long, deep breath. "Vineland has been the site of repeated intrusions by the undead. We need help; hostilities have already insued. Several villagers have been killed, and the undead are ravaging our fields and livestock! I'm wondering if you could send down any of your men to help us protect Vineland. It is less than a day travel to the south of here." "Can't you send for reinforcements from the capital?" Edthgar asked. "We already have!" Teythar answered, "All they sent is a single knight. That is why I'm asking you. Please, send us men!" Teythar waited for Edthar's response.
-
(M, 18) Teythar of the Crown Knights "We should be arriving at the Eastern outpost soon!" Scot called out. "Indeed," Ark the hunter affirmed, "We'll ask them what's going on." The small group of two commoners and two soldiers broke out of the forest near the outpost, and was astonished at what they saw. Across the border of the undead, hundreds descended toward the Eastern outpost. Battle and death was everywhere. "What's happening?" John, the woodsman, asked. "It's an invasion into the crown knights kingdom!" Teythar answered, "We must help protect this outpost, or the Undead will breach and take over all of the Crown Knights kingdom! Scot, you take Ark and John and counterattack from this flank, I'll find the commander of the base and ask him what we can do!" "Sir!" Scot said, and rode off with John and Ark in his wake. Teythar tied the lone pack horse to a tree, and then rode off at a gallop towards the base itself, and the heart of the battle. He brandeshes his broadsword and smites down several undead, and enters the outpost. "Where can I find the keeper of the outpost, and by what name does he go by?" Teythar called out. An answer came up from on high. "He's a bit north of here, he goes by the name of Edthgar!" Teythar did not reply, he rushed out of the fortress and once again rode through the fight, striking down skelotons and trampling them under his horse. He looked ahead, and saw a gloriously armored knight, next to what looked to be the General of the undead! "Edthgar!" Teythar called out, just as the General swung his sword at the poor base commander.

(M, 19) Vineland of the Crown Knights Teythar and Scot rode through the forests and fields of Vineland, keeping a constant eye out for the undead. However, they did have a clear destination in mind: VinVilliage, the sole town in all of Vineland. "How far is it to the villiage?" Scot asked. "Only a few more kilometers." Teythar replied. The two quickly equipped their weapons as they heard a sound in the wood ahead of them. "What was that?" Scot asked, "Undead?" "Possibly." Teythar stated. "Or a hunting party from the villiage." The two relaxed as they saw three horses come through, one mounted by John the hunter, the other by Ark the woodsman, and the third carried bags. "Hello!" Ark screached, "We've been looking for you!" "Greetings men." Teythar said. "What are you doing out here?" "We're here to help you of course," John the hunter announced, "We heard about your reinforcements." "...Which did arrive!" Scot said, "They're me! I'm the reinforcement!" Teythar dismounted, as did John the hunter. "You can't help us...you're just civilians!" Teythar pointed out. "We both have military backround," John countered, "And it's our land, we're entitled to protect it." There was a moment of scilence. Teythar indeed wanted the help, especially from two people such as Ark and John, but he didn't want to endanger the people he was bound to protect. "If you're worried about our families, we 'ave none." Ark said. "Indeed," John continued, "We're ready to die to protect our homeland." Teythar considered this, and then gave in. "Very well!" He said, "You may help Scot and I defend Vineland." With that, John and Teythar mounted back up into the saddle. "We already packed supplies for a lengthy expedition, they're on the pack horse." John said. "They people of VinVilliage were kind enough to provide us with the food for four in exchange for defending their town." "That's very kind of them." Teythar said. "But where to go?" Scot piped in. "The Eastern outpost north of Vineland has a few men and is dedicated to protecting the Crown Knight's eastern border from the undead and orcs. We should go there." "Very well," Teythar stated, "It's off north to the Eastern outpost!"
