Those both look like they could use a wee bit more work.
-
I hope this line will be affordable, because the regular kits from DD are overpriced, in my opinion. These had better have pretty darn good pricing for me to buy any.
-
There are pros and cons to both. I wish the new version had a neck-guard like the old ones.

I'm with him. I have always belived it was his transport.

Nice work on that! Great detailing! What setting are you doing for this story? You've got a PM coming to you!

Well I think it's because TLC isn't going to be making sets for this. I think they'll have a new lego factory patch just for this theme, with figures and special pieces for it. So there won't be any sets for it until it comes out and fans make some stuff. I wonder if anyone makes anything really good, they'll sell it in the catologue? Or just advertise the site...

CC to the rescue!

That's the beauty of it; it's cheap. If only TLC would do something like this. It would be off scale. I'm thinking up small designs for a V-wing right now, and I've got it in eight pieces. The fighters would be small, but still about 1/4 the length of a star destroyer, and that's the only downside.

Well, it all started last night. I went to bed, and went to sleep as normal. Soon I realized that I was driving along in my car, towards the local toys r us. I got out, walked into the store, and made a beeline towards the lego section. I began browsing through the star wars lego, and noticed several normal sets. A republic gunship with a commander cody, an AT-TE with an ARC Trooper, and even a V-19. 'Cool!' I said. I kept on looking around, and my eyes settled on a cluster of smaller sets. They each had a few different prices. I pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down what I saw. There were several boxes, each titled 'Star Wars: Micro Battle'. Each contained different ships. There was a master box for each side (the two factions were Republic and CIS). There was also a capital ship box, a cruiser box, and a fighter box, so four different sets for each side. I quickly jotted down the prices and contents of each box. Master box (Republic) Contained: 1 Set of Micro Space Battle Rules 1 Micro Venator Assult Ship 1 Micro Jedi Starfighter 1 Micro V-wing 1 Micro ARC-170 Cost: $10 USD The Capital Ship box (Republic) Contained: 1 Micro Venator Assult Ship 2 Micro V-wings Cost: $6 USD The Cruiser Box (Republic) Contained: 1 Micro Acclamator Assult Ship 2 Micro ARC-170's Cost: $5 USD The Fighter Box (Republic) Contained: 1 Micro Jedi Starfighter 2 Micro ARC-170s 2 Micro V-wings Cost: $4 USD The Master Box (CIS) contained: 1 Set of Micro space battle rules 1 Micro Providence cruiser 1 Micro Bellubub 22 1 micro TRI-fighter 1 Micro vulture droid Cost: $10 USD The Capital ship box (CIS) contained: 1 Micro Providence cruiser 2 Micro TRI fighters Cost: $6 USD The Cruiser Box (CIS) Contained: 1 Micro Commerce Guild Destroyer 2 Micro Vulture Droids Cost: $5 USD The fighter box (CIS) Contained: 1 Micro Bellubub 22 2 Micro TRI fighters 2 Micro Vulture Droids Cost: $4 USD Each box contained a stat card for each of the types of ship they contained. I bought several of each set, and brought them home. I quickly built everything, which was in roughly Decks mini star wars designs scale. Many of the ships resembled those designs, though the fighters were smaller. I laid out each side, and began reading through the rules. I realized that the game was meant to be played on a large surface, like a floor or counter. Each master box also contained a 2 decimeter ruler. Each stat card told the stats of each ship. I looked over the ARC-170's stats quickly: Anti fighter attack: 1 Anti ship attack: 2 Move: 7 Centimeters Defense: 2 There was also a quick summary on the ship, telling that it was best used against larger starships. The V-wing stats closely resembled it, but there was a slight difference. The Venator stats were completely different: Anti Fighter attack: 2 Anti Ship attack: 3 Move: 4 Centimeters Defense: 3 The acclamator stats were simlar. However, I noticed that each ship from one faction had an exact counterpart stat-wise from the other faction. The counterpart to the ARC-170 was the TRI fighter, and the counterpart to the venator was the providence cruiser. Then I remembered reading 'attack' and 'defense' on the cards. How? I read through the rules further, and then it mentioned 'Dice'. So I shook the master box from each side again, and three dice from each box rolled out. 'Well', I thought, 'This will be cool! It's a tabletop spacebattle strategy game, with lego!' Then I woke up. T'was but a dream. A shame. However, do you think this is a plausible idea? Having lego sell cheap sets that can be mass bought for tabletop space battles? Ingenious! It would be amazing if this could happen. And all in the affordable micro scale. Do you think lego should do something like this? Or do a Ground based battle game, with mini TX-130s VS MTTs and 1x1 cone battle droids? Suggestions? Comments? Wishes? Ideas?

I have to admit: A $50 Clone Wars Chess Set would be pretty darn sweet: Republic: Pawns: Orange (212th battalion) clone troopers Rooks: Micro TX-130 tanks Knights: Ariel/Jet troopers Bishops: Jedi Knights(Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan) Queen: Commander Cody King: Chancellor Palpatine CIS: Pawns: B-1 battle droids Rooks: Micro AAT tanks Knights: Super Battle Droids Bishops: Magnaguards Queen: General Grevious King: Darth Sideous

Yes thank you ImperialScouts! I've been examining the pictures, and I think the helmets can hold more that just that. They may be able to hook up to standard helmet visors, like the ones on standard helmets. That would be cool to give your clones special visors!
-
Hilarious! Haha, that would be me. CC: Ooh...Pudding...More please!

How Clone Troopers really look without helmets!

*n* I'm in the grand army, and I'm telling you that my brothers don't look like that. Haha ok, that is pretty good! :-D Brilliant idea. -

Master Cheif and the elites are pretty darn good. I like how you have decals on all of the bodies of the elite. -
Three clones? That would be amazing. I would love even if the tank cost $50 and came with three clones. Be realistic; three clones would be great.

Yes, that's what I mean. The walls look excellent; It's just there are no corner segments of the wall to make the fort into a square fort. -
Hello Eurobricks! I need three trans-green regular helmet visors, two black regular helmets, and 1 trans-green 1x1 cone. I have lots of pieces and would be willing to trade for these. The black helmet should look like the one on this guy, and the visor should look like the following too: This is my first time posting trade material on Eurobricks, but I have three succsessful trades on my record at FBTB. Please send me a message if intrested!

This is great so far! However, I imagined the fortress as a round wall, and you don't have any corner pieces. If you can make corner walls, it would be perfect. -
If these had been under $10 USD I would've picked up a few, but that's too expensive for me. The Star Wars BP's were $10 and have four figs and ok vehicles.

Anyone got the 7723 Police Pontoon Plane set?
Clonecommando007 replied to Joey Lock's topic in LEGO Town
This really doesn't look like a good set; I wouldn't get it if I were you. -
My odd tower/apartment building/military outpost!

Because we don't know about the building yet (lack of overall shot), I can't comment on that, but it does look a bit bare. However: Those custom figures are great! -
Blasphemy! ;-) An episode 2 clone trooper battlepack is a must over the TIE defender!
-
Love it! :-D My only request is that it's made a few pictures longer; maybe 25-30 pics. Great plot and story though! It's really mysterious!

Sounds intresting! I bet I'll save exobuilder from the window. :-D
