Cayenne Asuncion's Coruscant Speeder
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Dang, so close too. Well, I enjoyed building it, and it got some good feedback, so I'm satisfied. Thanks, it is a pity. If only I had woken up a bit sooner... Thanks, im glad it made an impression. Maybe, KimT, could you change the topic subtitle, and move it to the regular SW forum, since it didn't make it into the contest? No need to have it here any more, I don't think. Anyway, good luck to the other contestants. Maybe I'll make it in on time next time around. DSR -
Looks pretty nice! Probably one of the best Staff entries so far. Nice little story, too. DSR

Cayenne Asuncion's Coruscant Speeder
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks, clone killer! I had kind of a had time with the background story, but I think it came out ok. I suppose it does look like a CIS speeder just because of the color scheme. I'm glad you like it. DSR -
So so sorry for the late entry, like I said I've been sick with the flu all week and didn't realize the deadline was so soon! EDIT: Looks like I didn't make it in. Well, best of luck to everyone else who made it in, there's some great MOC's that have been entered. Anyway, my entry is a Coroscant speeder, used by bounty hunter Cayenne Asuncion and her small team. Cayenne had always aspired to be a part of the Army of the Republic and fight alongside her older brother Adelaide, but when the Republic fell and her brother dissapeared along with many other soldiers who were not Clone Troopers, she turned to a small group of bounty hunters who immediatly recognized her skills as a fighter. As she got older, she broke off from the group, taking with her an Assasin Droid and her partner, Zurich. With money they had collected from other bounties, they built this speeder and hired a pilot. Now, onto the MOC. It has about 375 peices, and was made mainly out of parts from the AAT set and the Hyena Droid Bomber set. (BTW the red cone in the center is a shield generator, it's off in a few pics. The shield is to protect the speeder from enemy fire, due to the lack of any real cover in the speeder, since it's so thin.) Main shot, without the crew. Front shot. Top of the speeder. Side, with the crew. Back shot. You can see the engines and fins well here. The crew in front of the speeder. Thanks for looking, hope I made it into the contest, though I understand if I don't. DSR

Build a Star Wars Land-Based Vehicle
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to KimT's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Point taken. I'll just get everything on flickr ond get it on here. Expect to see it within an hour or so. And yeah, worst case it doesn't make it in. Well, at least I had fun building it. DSR EDIT: My entry is up now, hope I can still make it in. -
Build a Star Wars Land-Based Vehicle
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to KimT's topic in Watto's Junkyard
CRAP! Is there still time for a last minute entry?! I've been sick all week but my entry is done and photographed, I can have them online within the hour! Or is it already too late? I'm terribly sorry, I woke up about an hour ago (i've had the flu the last week) and just had enough energy to get to my computer and check flickr and Eurobricks. Please tell me I can still enter? My entry is for the medium division. Its based around a Coruscant speeder. Please, if a moderator could respond quickly, so I know whether or not to post the pictures. DSR -
What Lightsabre Hilt do you like the most?
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Tim Bit's topic in LEGO Star Wars
1.Agreed, brown and black need to be included. 2. Disagreed, technically "sabre" is an alternate spelling of "saber", so both are correct. I say lightsabre sometimes. Besides, they're pronounced the same, not much of a difference besides flipping the two letters. Anyway, I vote for the Chrome Curved as best, its just so unique. Although the straight bley is so easy to use in MOC's as things besides lightsabers. The worst for me is Asajj's blades. Ick. Almost no use at all. DSR -
Thanks. It's one of my few MOC's I've actually kept together(mostly because I can't think of any other use for the parts ) Yeah it would, along a few STAPs too. Too bad I don't have a MTT... DSR

Some very nice Alternates here. Just thought I'd add mine to the topic: This one was one of my more popular MOC's on flickr. It uses parts from about ten Droid BP's (Well, I bought ten without figs on Bricklink for about 15 USD, I'm not sure how many were actually used for this). The cannon/cockpit rotates 360 degrees on a turntable on the hover platform. The cannon fires a plasma blast in an arc, great for bunker busting. the cannons on the sides rotate alittle over 180 degrees and are great for taking out small groups of those darn Republic Clone Troopers. Anyway hope to see more alternates of these battlepacks, its always fun to see what can be done with a limited part selection. DSR

DSR'S Star wars MOC bag!
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, Wolf O'Donnel is pretty awesome. Well, our avatars are different, so I don't really see a problem with it. Yeah, the arwing definately needs work, not much structure work has been done, I'm trying to find a good wing setup. Still. Thanks, I like the clones a lot. The brick built head figs are aliens. And maybe I will take some more photos of them, maybe a battle scene? Let me know what you think. Keep the comment's coming guys! Thanks so far! DSR -
DSR'S Star wars MOC bag!
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If by that you mean the long black part, there was 4 of them in one of the old Rock Raiders sets. I think they may have been in more recent sets, but I'm not sure. A majority of the rest of the parts used were included in the set. DSR -
DSR'S Star wars MOC bag!
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for being honest. I'm glad you like everything else though! Any suggestions for the fighters that would make them better? It may be just because they aren't really based on anything in SW, but actually from a video game. I like the general design of them, although I'm still unhappy with the Arwing's wing setup. The only part I do like is the fact that they fold up. Thanks. The tank MOD was the last thing I did. Those kind of Mods happen when I can't sleep and need something to do. I had one of those long black poles and thought, "Hmm, how can I encorperate this into something?" It was originally going to be a rail cannon on the side of something, but this worked out really well I think. And yes, Hinck has been joining in with my SW MOC's lately. I guess he likes the extra publicity. Besides, he makes a great pilot for the Arwing! DSR -
To be honest I'm not even sure how many sets I have, but i'm sure the total cost has hit the $1000 mark a while ago. As for my entire collection, most likely around $5000 or so. A crapload of parts are all sitting around my room waiting to be sorted. Around eight plastic bins, ten gallon bags with current MOC parts, and a few bags with assembled minifigs. Not counting the MOC's I have together too. DSR

EDIT: Hold on guys, working on getting those pics up. For some reason it's not allowing the image tags or something, will be fixed ASAP! EDIT 2: Pic links have been fixed, turns out I was using the wrong flickr format. Whoops! Enjoy, sorry for the delay! Hey everybody, DSR again. Haven't been active around here for awhile, I know. I've been spending most my time around flickr lately, and just got to taking pics of everything I've been doing the last few months. Absence of my tripod has proven to ba a problem, and it's just been fixed. Now, there isn't a whole lot here, but I didn't want to start 5 different topics for all my stuff. This time around, I have: 2 previous MOCs modded 1 new CW set modded 3 Updated figs 3 New Clones (new squad, featuring Two-fourteen) 1 Brand spanking new alien Jedi (with a padawan!) 1 New mystery fig 1 Quick look into an digital engineering project I'm working on for school (lego related) So, lets get started! First off, we'll start with two of my favorite MOC's ever to spawn from the pile of bricks in my house; The Wolfen and tha Arwing! Both have been updated with better colors, updated weapons, and loads more greebs/details. Let's take a look at the Wolfen MK III first. A profile shot, with pilot/Jedi Jack Sisco (my sigfig) Hero you can see down the nose, and see alot of the new greebs around the cockpit. Also, take note of the round bley and black parts coming out of the engine pods. These are external engine batteries, the last upgrade needed(along with the larger engine block) to get the Wolfen to jump into hyperspace for a short amount of time. Not enough to make an entire trip across the stars, but when things get sticky, it can make a quick jump to safety. Here you can see alot of the new back section, with a new fin along the roof of the cockpit. Notice all the rubber band work up there? The new back, with a bunch of minifig hand detailing and more of that rubber band work. The new engine block. bigger, better, now able to make the jump into hyperspace! Here you can see the new EMP cannon alongside the cockpit (machine cannon on the other side, you can see it in the other pics.) Also, there's some decal work on one of the fins there. I like it alot. Thats all for the Wolfen for now, lets move on to the Arwing MK II; Here's a new profile pic of the Arwing. Added alot more dark red parts. Here with the wings folded up in high speed combat mode. Less manuverability, but twice the firepower and alot more speed too. The back of the Arwing, better engine area, more dark red. The back, with the G-Diffusers opened. And finally, since the original seemed to be so popular over at flickr, the Dynamic Duo with their respective pilots, Jack and Hinckley. Thats it for those two. Onto the set MOD: The AH AT: Armored Heavy Assault Tank, originally the AAT. The new tank, with a heavy mortar cannon. I've removed the main and side cannons, replacing them with the heavy mortar cannon and better armored sides instead of the cannons with the crappy flickfire missles. also the parts at an angle aren't loose anymore, since hte parts coming off where the cannons were is right up against it now. Also, I hated the little speeder that comes out of the back, so I ripped it up and made a ramp coming off the back. The pilot droid. He's up higher now, right up near the front. That's about it on that one, a quick half hour MOD. Now, onto the figs: Jack, Jessa and of course, Hinckley, posing with their new lightsabers. Thanks to Tekka Croe for the new lightsaber design used by Jack and Jessa! The new clones, an arctic division. New troops are a sniper (with enourmous sniper rifle), Scout/techie, and basic trooper. Leading this crack squad is our old chap, Two Fourteen, the british clone pilot, now a clone commando. The sniper and the scout, preparing to take a shot. The sniper, and the sniper rifle. One of my personal favorite brickbuilt weapons. Onto those new jedi. The idea for the head was inspired by Cloe Blaq. The padawan is mine, although it's probably been used before. Master Jedi Tongu, and his padawan (yet to be named). Heroic pose. Tongu with his custom polesaber. And Tongu's padawan, with a much smaller polesaber. Next up... Another new fig, but he's a mystery! It's also a very crappy pic, sorry. it adds to the mystery I suppose. Thats all for now with that. And, last but not least, a quick peek into a school project I've been working on in Autodesk Inventor 2009: A screencap of what Ive been working on, a clone trooper/jedi. The lightsaber took 5 minutes to draw and is not to scale, it was just a fun quick thing. The blaster was quick too. The torso has given me the hardest time so far, so many details on there. It's not based on any one torso, mostly created from mixes of different ones. And finally, something that's been a bit of a fad over on flickr, the custom lightsaber builder! Just had to jump on the bandwagon for this one. The webpage you can do these on is found here. Well that about wraps up all my recent projects, i'm hoping to start getting back into MOCing soon. Been busy with life lately. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed seeing all this. C@C welcome as always, and check out my flickr photostream here. Oh, and one last shot of the Wolfen, in an awesome dogfighting pose: Thanks everybody, happy building! DSR

This is very nice! Extremely creative choice of vehicle. The reindeer pods are what really won me over. 'Tis a work of art. Also, happy holidays! DSR

Defending the Canyon Outpost
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks, the droid tank is actually one of my fave MOC's. It was built entirely from Droid BP peices (well, about ten BPS ) If you want to see more of it check out my Flickr page (link in sig). Haha, so did I. No worries. Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks, yeah, I plan on doing more when I get more free time. The weapons I enjoyed too. Much more figs are coming, I will post them when I finish them up! More weapons coming too. Thanks for all the comments. Keep them coming! DSR -
Defending the Canyon Outpost
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sorry to double post, but the first post has been up with the rest of the comic. I hope you enjoy it, even if it is 2 months late. I apologize for procrastinating for so long. Blame life . DSR -
Holy carp I love Gundam Wing. My favorite Gundam of all time, by far. This is an amazing representation of it. Congrats! DSR

Introducing: The ACES!
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow, thanks. I never expected this thread to be revived. I posted this a very long time ago. Thanks for the comments though! DSR -
Nice little ship! For not having hardly any SW stuff, this is very good. Bears a striking resemblence to the Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter from Attack of the Clones. Hope to see more from you soon! Best of luck and happy building! DSR
-
I might as well. Free stuff is always good, even if you don't know what it is... I hope it's a Hinkley, Sinner and KimT sig-fig three-pack! That would be sweet. No offense to all the other Mod's sigfigs. DSR

No. Freaking. WAY! No one has ever really made more than one Energy sword (to my knowledge) and now Will plans on mass producing them? In trans colors! My mind has been officially blown. The Energy pistol looks good, but I would much rather have the multi colored one over a single color. The only single colored one I could see would be Covenant purple, and just barely. It just doesn't seem like a single color thing, nor does the needler. Can't wait for these, the MGL, and the SPAS-12. DSR
