  1. Like many others in this topic I have never been a big Superman fan, but lately I've been getting more and more into superheroes of any sort... even Supes and Bats, both of which have never been very appealing to me. However what will make me watch this film is that it's directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed Watchmen and 300, two of my favourite films, and it's being produced by Christopher Nolan, who's producing talent is uncontestable. The LOTR soundtrack fit well with the trailer too.
  2. Who was the fourth figure? There's only Batman, Bane and Gordon that I can see. Unless you mean the security guard... I highly doubt that it will be reappearing as a TDKR figure, as it's based on other media.
  3. Saw Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance yesterday. It gets a lot of hate but I found it entertaining, it had the same feel as the first one and made a worthy sequel. Great special effects, too. If only we had a LEGO Ghost Rider set as part of the Marvel subtheme...
  4. This has been confirmed by TLG.
  5. Before the Comic-Con announcement I'd never heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy either, but from the research I've done since it certainly seems like Marvel's version of Green Lantern. Interstellar organisation that recruits from all different planets to keep the peace... It looks promising though, and the more we get of the MCU the better. Personally I'm looking forward to Iron Man 3 the most, mainly because the plot will not be "another two guys in iron suits fighting each other". It's been confirmed to take heavily from the Extremis storyline too, so I can't wait. Ant-Man sounds like it won't attract a lot of people as he's not very well known, and I was wondering how they would make him seem cool on-screen. However, from the description of the test footage and the joked tagline "Ant-Man will kick your a$$ one inch at a time" it sounds better than expected. More variety for Avengers 2! Who knows, Marvel may kill two birds with one stone and put Wasp in the same film. Now if the villain was Ultron... Thor: The Dark World will apparently have Thor exploring the different worlds in the Nine Realms. That'll be interesting! Thanos might even play a part in this. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if he appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy instead. Captain America: The Winter Soldier? Not a big Cap fan. I'm not even American. I doubt this will bring anything new into the MCU. Of course, I'll still go and see them all. I don't think LEGO will be short of Marvel set opportunities either!
  6. Indeed! It doesn't cost them anything to utilize existing moulds though, so thus no price increase. They're being kind to us by replacing new moulds with exclusive colours and rare parts though.
  7. I did. They have many pictures for reference in their offices, such as Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean posters. Plus, a lot of the employees are fans of such.
  8. Because it doesn't contain any new part moulds at all. In fact, it's just over the average 10c price per piece for licensed sets, at 295 pieces.
  9. "The Wolverine" is expected to be a lot more gory as it's based off the 1982 Wolverine comic book series so I doubt LEGO would produce sets for it even if they had the Sony license. The same reasons they won't make sets based off the upcoming Deadpool film.
  10. Thor 2 is scheduled for November 2013, so maybe we'll see another release of sets in November next year, like they're doing with the Hobbit sets this year?
  11. They don't advertise future promotional minifigures at Comic-Con, only ones that will be released worldwide. So all of us will be able to get a White Batman pretty easily next year. I'm still waiting on the sets and the rest of the minifigures. As with last year's SDCC I expected more will be revealed later on in the year. I need a Green Lantern minifigure which I won't have to pay hundreds for.
  12. I totally agree with this, though I don't think these are all the minifigures for next year, rather the ones we've seen so far. For example, where is TDKR Batman? Or an Aquaman villain?
  13. This looks interesting, but it's probably just a prototype that won't be released. Perhaps there'll be room for it if LEGO decide to make more POTC sets to coincide with the release of the fifth film.
  14. Awesome. Let's hope we see some new villains in it (if it is Arkham Asylum) such as Man-Bat, Clayface or Killer Moth
  15. Can't wait to see the new stuff tomorrow! It's a shame I can't be there in person.
  16. Or Marvel, or DC, or LOTR...
  17. The only reason I can think of as why LEGO didn't grab the Star Trek license first is that it's probably considered too similar to Star Wars, and so would be conflicting product lines. An understandable business move.
  18. Seeing as $30 is about £30 in LEGO price terms, I hope that's the price it's sold as when it comes to the UK. I detest the source material for this set (Ultimate Spider-Man is by far the worst superhero-themed TV series I've ever seen) but I'll still get it because I'm a huge LEGO Super Heroes collector, and the price isn't too bad either.
  19. A Green Lantern versus Sinestro set would be amazing, and we'd finally a GL minifigure that's released worldwide instead of in a limited quantity at Comic-Con. I'm really disappointed that they left him out of the first wave... Next on my wanted list are Flash and the Fantastic Four.
  20. This... it's slightly more problematic for us Brits. Also, isn't the quantity always limited to 500 or so anyway?
  21. The gallery isn't public yet. You should deeplink each picture to make it work (so instead of the URL leading to the gallery slot, it leads directly to the image).
  22. Yes, but I can't seem to find a straight answer. The closest topic I can see (converting LDD models to LDraw) says it needs to be rewritten, and I can see why. Plus, it doesn't deal with how to import it to Maya from there.
  23. Hi all. I've spent the past few hours browsing the internet for solutions but all of the topics I can find give me different answers. I need to find a way to import an LDD (.lxf) model into Autodesk Maya 2013. I understand the solution has something to do with using LDraw to convert it but I don't understand how. I wouldn't have this problem if I had the EasyBuilder Tool extension for Maya but unfortunately it's not available outside of LEGO headquarters. Any help you could give me on the matter would be much appreciated!
  24. The wings are the same part as the arms and so aren't going to be used in any sets without those wings attached.
  25. They only were available to those who pre-ordered the game....
