  1. have you considered using a lego water bottle (47073 and 47074)? KEvron
  2. post a link so i can down-thumb it a few times. KEvron
  3. it's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it. i fault the source. nah, i didn't think that he did, but the dynamic is there. heh! KEvron
  4. a bit of americana, such as it is. KEvron
  5. you folks invented the language.... is it too much to ask that you speak it?! on your side of the pond, is this forum known simply as "bricks?" heh! KEvron
  6. can it meet the gbc module feed-rate spec? i don't know the exact rate specified, but i know there is one. KEvron
  7. lol! does the lad ever refer to you as "good ol' mr. wilson"? english, please. KEvron
  8. haven't seen a cement truck yet. hook-and-ladder would be cool. garbage truck? locomotive? KEvron
  9. i've always taken the different scales as a given. there seem to be three basic scales every season: mini, model team and large (i view the smaller mini-scale sets as dressed-up supplementals). KEvron
  10. happens to me on youtube all the time: some right-winger doesn't like my comments, so he starts making negative, dismissive comments about my hobby. i think "outright disagreement" would be impossible. you'd have to prove either that i receive the same kind of comments from left-wingers or that i don't receive the comments from right-wingers at all. i can assure you, neither is the case. oh, i never mix lego and politics, but the fact remains that the only negative comments i get come from frustrated right-wingers. i can post the links, if you'd like. KEvron
  11. it was a great set. a broad selection of elements, and at a price that couldn't be beat. ....and green 40t gears! KEvron
  12. oddly enough, the only people who have negatively reacted to my hobby are right-wingers. go figger. KEvron
  13. lotta good deals there. they're my sole source for chain links and gears. of course, they were the outlet for one of the all-time best lego technic deals, the technology resource set; 1100 parts for $55. KEvron
  14. unless you're a serious collector, you shouldn't waste your money on trying to acquire discontinued sets. they fetch a hefty sum. start your collection with the current sets at reasonable prices. if you want to build the older sets, you can always purchase the instructions, then build from your personal inventory. any elemnets not in your inventory can be purchased individually from bricklink sellers. KEvron
  15. yeah, what Erik Leppen said: add an axle joiner for leverage. KEvron
  16. heh! it was kinda funny to scroll through this thread and see usernames i've never encountered before. ah, the intertoobs.... KEvron
  17. the holes on the original style allow for the construction of a tiny cage gear which is no longer possible with the new design. okay, i admit i haven't yet found a use for a cage gear. still, the possibility's there. KEvron
  18. DLuders has the right idea. monofilament is both stronger than string and thinner. it should resolve both issues mentioned here. KEvron
  19. the human encyclegopedia strikes again! KEVron
  20. you should spend some time at the bricklink catalog; get familiar with searching through the category indices. KEvron
  21. lol! "nimdian, have you seen mr. whiskers?" *crickets* KEvron
  22. they're definitely the most powerfullest.... KEvron
