Could add a Lanista, but one of the other minifigs could probably double as one? I did start with just the pit, but thought it'd be a bit of a boring build - that's why I added all the stuff on the other side, then I kinda got into the idea :)

I've spent the last few months designing a Roman Gladiator Arena attempting to get a degree of historical realism, whilst also being fun to build and play with. Rather than just having a plain circular fighting pit, I’ve decorated the walls and borrowed the aesthetic from the great Jean-Léon Gérôme paintings. The back of the building features aspects of Roman daily life that might take place in and around an amphitheatre. Here are a few historical details: The Imperial box: with victory wreath decoration and private dining arena The Taberna Vinaria: A fully stocked wine tavern built right into the outer arches, where spectators could grab food and drinks. Armory & Barracks: A lower-level prep area featuring authentic weapons and a resting area for the fighters. Class-Accurate Minifigures: custom-designed gladiators: Retiarius, Murmillo, Thracian and Scissor. The Podium: Dedicated, elevated seating zones for Roman Senators or Vestal Virgins. Spoliarium (for treating the wounded) and a souvenir stand selling gladiator figures It’s a modular build, so the different sections can be swapped around or even combined with another set for a complete 360 build.
