I see what you mean, you're right.

Well, giant lizards, as Guts just calls them, are a common thing, one appeared in Quest 52, I remember, and some in Quest 8, also I think I mentioned somewhere Strivvians use Giant Raptorlike Lizards instead of horses. Dinosaurs could just be another name for them.

Guts walks into the hall, and walks straight to the bar. He asks Scheherazade for a hot meal, and wine, and sits down moments later with a plate of unknown meat, some green vegetable Guts didn't know the name of, but liked anyway, and some bread (as well as a fine Charissian Red). The raider looks around the hall. Bunch of loud fools, destroying the hall's furniture, picking fights. It was pathetic. He could take on all the "heroes" present, with one arm tied behind his back, too. He could not be bothered to sign up for a quest, he didn't want to risk having to deal with hotheads and fools. Finally, he spotted someone with a normal disposition. Perhaps too normal, to be comfortable, but still. Not overly loud, but still clearly, the raider called: "Docken, sit with me, if you will."

One or two would be awesome. I'm sure we can figure out something at the event.

I can bring one of those, no problem. I myself am still looking for a series 8 actor, and a series 9 fortune teller. I got some good stuff to trade, several series 6, some keychains, few polybags. Some other minifigures. Also, I have this bag of around 1.6kg of all kinds of wheels and tires that I don't have a use for. I made a picture of it with it all layed out at one point, tell me if anyone wants to trade to take it off my hands, there is some good stuff there.

You all were complaining about non-epic deaths, Steerpike's death is perfect.

Thanks for the feedback, Hinckley! I do appreciate it when hosts give in depth feedback like this. Once again, great game (for the most part). As for more about the game, I must say I really liked the way you did the comic pages as interludes, it gives a really cool effect. Your humor is not quite my kind of humor, but there was enough fun stuff for me to enjoy, so it's all good. I find it hard to comment on the mechanical aspects, but the balance seemed quite fine with me, looking at it later. The Serial Killer team was definitely interesting. Something that could have been done with that perhaps is an actual penalty if the partner dies. As it was, the remaining serial killer half would actually be more effective alone. Being a Night Action Magnet isn't really a positive thing per se though. I wonder why I am that, though? I guess people tend to target vocal ones. Don't know if it's something to work on, if I am vanilla I want the scum to target me but not the town. If I am town and have an action I obviously want to attract the tracker, doctor, cop... I know my vote for Wang wasn't very smart, but he insisted on it being that way, so there were either two possibilites: he had a different Role PM, or he hadn't looked, and I seem to remember him saying he had looked. So, yeah. I should really have picked up on the fact that you always make the role pm's the same, but I think I figured they might not be, because the PM was in the first post for reference. I don't think my game was as strong as you say, I made quite a few obvious mistakes and confused the town on occasion, but thanks anyway. And definitely, I will bite my tongue next time when being targetted with nonsense like here.

I'm joking of course, I wouldn't be pissed, but Guts would! Sure, the heroes are starting already, hypothermia and all that.
-
Oh nevermind, you mean Hestia. I didn't consider the veterans to be heroes. You know, NPC and all. By the way, if Nemo dies, I'll be so pissed, I saved that dude every freaking time. To have him die now... Yeah.
-
Who is related to Nemo?
-
Kill a Shadeaux when you're at it, 5!

He just has to own it. You can't save them all, and the Wolfgang are criminals. He wants redemption, taking out two of the Wolfgang's leaders seems like a pretty good thing towards that.

It's well past midday as Guts and Hybros sail back into dock, with some difficulty, Guts manages to maneuver the El Allegeon exactly to where it used to be. As Guts ties the ship to the dock and lowers the anchor, he says to Hybros: "You should seek out a cleric if you're not feeling well. Better to deal with this now, than to face the consequences in battle. I'm heading to the hall. See you around." Before jumping off the ship, Guts heads in the cabin, and comes back seconds later, wearing his shoes, but still only wearing the loose, simple shirt and trousers, although Lifestealer is at his side now. The sailing trip had done him good, although the same could not be said about the imp. Guts hoped the little man would be okay, he was a powerful ally, and not completely rotten like some other "heroes". He nodded to the imp, locked the cabin, and extended the walking plank. With that, the raider heads into the business of Eubric once more.

I just call them dirty traitors. Easier.
-
Please, not more rogue heroes. I'm pretty sure more than half the heroes is a rogue.

I think that comparison doesn't work, as Donny, Violetta and Steerpike were never in charge, they were lieutenants, not generals, a better comparison would be to call them Boba Fett, Moff Tarkin and another random guy. If they lost them, sure, it would be bad, but would it lose them the war? No. Donny's gang watched their former leader be reduced to someone that follows orders, with nothing to do to circumvent that. Think they would leave now that he's gone? I don't think so. Also, Ulric, Darth Vader, Baba, the emperor, calling it now. Well of course, I played the Metasimians as a gang that had to give up a lot of territory and power since the wolfgang moved in, fighting a guerilla (get it, it's a pun) war against both the wolfgang and the other factors. A lot of time has passed since that was established, what's to say the Wolfgang don't have a department consisting entirely of Metasimians now?
-
Damn you Copper Fox. You traitorous bastard! That's some good thinking, Tanma, I hadn't even thought of that.
-
A mind controlling, powerful witch might help with control. And a lot of the Wolfgang seems willing to die for the cause, so I don't think that's a problem. I reckon we are nearing at least a reveal of Ulric's exact intentions/plan (we know he wants to wipe out the houses and control Eubric, but then what? Either pirates will loot Eubric if they have no leadership or the surrounding nations will raze Eubric if they consider the city to be an unstable factor) Also, he took control of Donny and the gang he apparantly had by simply threatening to kill him, making him a werewolf would also help with that. But consider that there are also some other gangs active in Eubric. The Metasimians, and the werehounds/hyena's (Blood paw or something) among others. If Ulric wants more support, perhaps he'll conscript those? Hint, hint. The Wolfgang, even after this defeat(?) are still very much capable, and it's only going to get worse from here. I'm very excited to see where this goes.
-
I think their deaths are fine. Donny and Violetta were expendable to Ulric. I don't know about Steerpike, but he probably is as well. If you're shocked about their deaths... That's the intended effect, I think.
-
Well, he still has bodily functions and stuff, so that accounts as "better than a bunch of bones".
-
Still looks pretty good, considering a normal corpse turns into a skeleton in 6 months to a year (I googled it, not something I know from the top of my head).

Wait, how old is Sorrow? The hall lists 428? Assuming every child is only in between humans or races with similair ages, which is unlikely even in itself (we have elves, dwarves and more long living races, logically halfbloods should be a common thing), each mother would get a child at the average age of like 18 for that to work. That's really young. Obviously not if we're going by medieval times, but still.
-
Ah okay I didn't see it had an ether cost.
-
Why would it not be just three times?

Guts bit his tongue for what he was about to say. What was he even thinking? Him, king? Of Eubric? He could do both, lead heroes, and Eubric. And he could make a change, he could be a good king. Was that really true? He did not know the first thing about leading a city. But the imp was wrong too, without rule, lands dissolve into chaos. Eubric was a prime example. Eventually, he said with a small smile: "You're probably right. I'd miss the action too much. I'm turning us around, Heroica needs you at your best."
